So much potential, squandered. The game has a wide variety of modes to keep you entertained, but be warned if you are a fan of multiplayer, like myself. This gives the game about 10 minutes of replay value, once you fancy a change, you can't, all you can do is play Elimination over and over and over again.

This is of course not at all clear until you've bought the game and tried it out - nice move Codemasters.

I purchased the four man multipack through Steam so I could enjoy an easy to setup, easy to pickup game with friends which could entertain us for a short period in the early evening. This was never communicated through the marketing material and I can understand why it wouldn't be, who would want to market that your game has no replay value after playing it 10 times? It's a bit like selling an old Playstation 1 Magazine Demo disk as a Retail game - Codemasters have yet again failed to deliver on product. Expand

I bought this game for the multiplayer but found it only has one game mode. Bored after 10 minutes of play. I hope future patches add more content otherwise it was a waste even at £8 odd.

If this was an Android or iOS title, available for ~£2.99 I would be over the moon! However, as this is instead masquerading as a 'proper' game at £11.99, and has 80% of the game modes removed from Multiplayer, I feel ripped off to say the least.
Massively disappointed, but then this is Codemasters, so I should have known better...

I was once fascinated with Micro Machines, but Toybox Turbos is a great game in its own right, not just as a stroll down the memory lane. [01/2015, p.71]

If you loved the old Micro Machines, Toybox Turbos is the title you've been waiting. Funny, competitive and graphically inspired, is only lacking in courage, not offering anything new compared to the original series which is deeply connected.

Toybox Turbos is a good game for beginners and newcomers to racing games. It presents an easy learning curve, but later levels can be a little more challenging. It's a lot of fun to play and in ways it may remind players of the Micro Machines toys and video games from the past.
