Yes I know this game is old, but some old games are still great, so I dont give any mercy for this game for being old.
First of all, the game had troubles to recognize some buttons on my 360 controller, I could solve it only with xpadder. Download the 512MB Patch and the textures are much better. There is a widescreen solution also and a map pack.
Gameplay is a boring: button smashing

Gameplay is a boring: button smashing in the right time with some combos in different areas. It is purely a console game, so dont expect too much.
The campaign is a nice idea with a lot of goals, that you can achieve step by step and is motivating. The levels are very different and with a lot of possible combinations.

The music is most of the time american hardrock, what is annoying.

Tutorial could be a bit better, for example by showing how a trick looks like and showing the commands you need to perform (like in beat m up games for example).

Overall an average game, but for sure not superb.

My weapon of choice is the PS2, mostly because of the Dual Shock 2, which I think is the perfect controller for THPS3...While the network play [of the PC version] is damn fun, I'm not sure if it's robust enough to warrant the $50.00-or-so expenditure.
  2. This game is “near” flawless.
  3. Gearbox have done an excellent job with the PC conversion and any PC gamer will love this game. Just don't forget your gamepad.
