Jul 11, 2023The only thing that Rainbow Six: Lockdown can offer is an absolutely terrible time.
-
May 12, 2020Horribly average, but immediately is knocked down with a stupid 90's sexist, misogynist cutscene of some pervert staring at, and making comments about a woman team members' butt while in a ventilation system.
Red Storm disbanding seriously hurt this franchise. -
Jul 6, 2013SlipW That was just brilliant! :D
But really! this game is really an insult/disgrace to R6 name...
Why I won't give it 0 is because I remember my friend and I got some FEW hours of playing together... -
Mar 12, 2012well there is nothing much to say about singleplayer.there are 16 missions and all of them is about shooting terrorists.there is nothing which involves teamwork but multiplayer was good enough to give this game a seven.if you are a fan of rainbow six series and looking for some traditional gameplay then you will be hugely dissapointed.

Nov 14, 2011Absolutely terrible, I don't even know why they even made this crap. Yes, trust me, crap, don't know what it is. And AI is dumb as hell, they tried to flash the room but eventually flash themselves, and me. What the heck is that?? Don't bother this rubbish, please.

Sep 23, 2010Addicting gameplay, good graphics, nice selection of weapons and gear, pretty long levels, Long campaign, the multiplayer is pretty dead... but if some people are on it's pretty fun. I give this game an 8.

s10wabs10wabApr 8, 2006A game that may have been quite acceptable 5 years ago - today this is a disgrace - a blatent misuse of what was a good franchise. In no way should anybody waist good money on this game. Buy SWAT 4 or just replay your old classics just not this game.

RyanW.Mar 25, 2006Very bad. horrible recoil. ohh wait, when Ii played it had no recoil, only crosshair spread... an insult to the R6 name. This is not tactical at all. Atleast the halo fanboys like it.

JamesT.Mar 9, 2006Simply the worst game I have played in a LONG TIME. Just not up to the standards of the brand.

MickMar 5, 2006Yet another sterling example of style over any sort of substance. No wonder the slack jawed mouth breathers are giving it such high numbers. No mission planning, completely linear levels and apparently programmed without any AI at all. What a pathetic joke this game is.

TimothyH.Mar 1, 2006the single player is astounding. great plot. great graphics. great transition of levels and character building, the weapons are pretty innovative... i expected much less. this game is really cool.

YashaL.Mar 1, 2006Who's down for some online fun? LD has a great multiplayer element, and I'm totally stoked to get to experience it. I never got too much into the other RB6 games, but I really like this one. 8 out of 10.

-
G-UnitkMar 1, 2006these are the best graphics i've seen since halo2, and i WANT to say they're better. you really gotta check out this game.

MattC.Mar 1, 2006A lot of PC games are notorious for bugs and glitches and crashes, etc, but I had absolutely no trouble installing this. And whatever the rumor is about the Starforce software ruining your computer - it's just not true. At least for me. I've had a great experience with the game so far. It's a lot of fun, and I highly recommend it.

HorusBMar 1, 2006the graphics engine in RB6LD is outstanding. i've read a few bad reviews on the game, and dismiss a lot of it for the graphics alone. i wasn't sure if the screenshots were going to be very representative of the game when i saw them, but now that i've bought the game and played it everyday for the last week, i must say that the graphics truly are some of the best out right now.

TedFremontFeb 27, 2006How can vets say this game isn't R6? I can understand people being upset by the change in tactical style, but this game is STILL R6 through and through, changes and all. Those who are saying it's not an R6 game need to pay attention to the other aspects of the game beyond these simple changes. It's R6 allright, and if you liked the other R6 games you shlould liek this one too.

[Anonymous]Feb 27, 2006The changes have made this game more challenging. It has an intense feel to it now and you have to be more strategic. I welcome a challenge.

ChrisS.Feb 27, 2006Although unlike the others it still deserves the Rainbow title. There have been changes made but it's great to see a new twist on an old classic.

-
MarkM.Feb 27, 2006The different map choices are great! I like how they incorporated old Rainbow Six maps into it.

-
SamJ.Feb 27, 2006This is my first in the series and WOW! I've been tryin to talk my brother into getting it to play me online. Multiplayer is where it's at!

-
It's another throwaway shooter with bad AI, forgettable single player levels, and glib unremarkable multiplayer options. Here lies Rainbow Six. Rest in peace, while we go reinstall "Raven Shield."
-
Lockdown got rid of everything that made its predecessors stand out and kept the bad A.I. and even worse backstories. Even without the burden of living up to its predecessors, Lockdown is -- at best -- a generic shooter with pretensions at realism.
-
Lockdown for the PC is more tactical than the console versions and definitely a lot of fun, but it's still got a noticeable arcade flavor.
