Bought this game on Steam on a sale price. Though I see it was nevatively rated, I did still bought it hoping Respawn will fix the issues. But, no avail. It has been a year now and now fix has been made. Respawn has abandoned it. This game is not playable on steam. No server and so buggy.

I love this game and it pains me to say that I can't give it a 10/10, the game isn't bad but the lack of support from respawning and the sheer amount of hackers runs it, just today, I got banned by a hacker

Gameplay: 8, Graphics: 7, Content: 6. This game fun and engaging combat is the selling point, and that it, the graphics look outdated in 2014 and the has almost no content, it make you feel like you just being robbed when you pay 60$ for this game

After playing the new Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare, I come back to write a review here. Good multiplayer game with a very primitive single company ...and with "full project's price" ...and the ubiquitous seasonal stuffing.

As an CoD type of game is a very unique one, with great Titan combat during the match.
Every other aspect is similar to this which we can see in CoD or Battlefield.
Not a perfect game because it bores me after few matches in MP.

Titanfall was, IMO, one of the most innovative shooters I had played in my life. The movement system was excellent, wall running, double jumping all felt extremely smooth. The gunplay was excellent and all the weapons felt unique, I do wish there were more weapons in the game, however. The biggest feature of Titanfall is the Titan combat, and holy crap is it epic. Watching your Titan fall from the sky and hit the ground with a shake and a band is so cool. Of course, the Titans are well balanced and do not dominate over the Pilots (players) as they have anti-Titan weapons. Titanfall was an excellent break from the same-old Battlefield and Call of Duty games every year. Expand

Far from a flawless game, Titanfall nevertheless manages to combine various elements from different genres to become a strangely original and enjoyable shooter.

First and foremost, if you get this for multiplayer, is better to look elsewhere. Extremely promising at first, it gets horrid after a while.
Anyway, i got this game because Angry Joe recommended it. I don't regret it, but ONLY because the campaign. It doesn't have a good story, plot wise, and is quite short (more like an introduction to the MP part) but it has BT7274. The bond was real.

After the campaign is finished you only have the MP.
    - multiplayer is fast paced (read hectic).
    - plenty of weapons to chose from (whit no real difference between them)
    - plethora of skins for pilots and titans, but not many models.
    - HITBOX is the size of Pentagon. Check the kill cams on YouTube game-play videos. Basically you shoot left, and you kill right. It may work well for you, but works just as well for the enemy.

I bought Titanfall and Titanfall2. I will not buy any Titanfall games, but i would buy a game from Relic Entertainment, provide it is not multiplayer based. They failed me twice, not going to try one of their MP recipes again.

The parkour is a blast! The best multiplayer in years, very well balanced with nice weapons, not too packed with options, so very straight ahead fun; but plagued by the terrible MK3 Smart Pistol and very bad servers. Players with very fast fibre internet connection always have a great advantage vs players with low performance net. So, a good, but "unplayable" game, becomes a "bad" game. The parkour is a blast! One of the best shooters of all time.
    + immersion
    + atmosphere
    + gameplay
    - lack of customization
    - lack of SP
    - repetitive

The presence of bots is annoying as you can turn the tides of a match by simply running around the map with the smart pistol and killing enemy AI's. Like I said, it is very fun to play, the parkour is very satisfying and is the best ive seen in any game, the titans animations are very well done, the maps in general are well designed especialy angel city with plenty of places to run around as a titan and also hide as a pilot to evade titans but if you are looking for a competitive shooter like Battlefield or even Call of Duty this might not be the game for you. The game is good I've no problem with that, there is no servers on release that is unacceptable from EA. That source engine is **** as well, nowhere near the graphics of CRYSIS 3 or Battlefield 1. Those are my 2 gripes with the game other than that its a fantastic.

    A fast-paced action focused FPS.
It had the CoD BO3 experience 2 years earlier.
Although I could talk about the emotions that one can feel when you see your first Titanfall saving you from a bullet hell, I want to focus on something else, the attention to detail, the NPCs have great animations, you can see how two marines try to save another that is injured, how they salute you as you

The feeling when you were defeated and you are trying to get to the evacuation ship is something that I enjoyed in many ocassions, but I wouldn't recommend playing this game for more than 3 to 4 hours in one sitting, as it will be a boring experience after the 3 hour mark. I've played this game for about 200 hours (6/7/2016).

One more thing: Each generation (when you reach the maximum level and get to reborn after the regeneration tasks that help you use every possible weapon of the game) is not that rewarding, as you lose your progress and loadout from the previous generation, but you'll now receive 10% extra of experience per regeneration.
The amount of weapons and titans is limited, but enough for me.

Titanfall was only a 7/10 game for me. It was one of those many overrated games which looks far better than it plays. The biggest problem I had with it was that half of the load out options seemed useless so there was not enough variation.

I paid $10, and at that it's a great deal. Definitely don't pay more than $20. There's no single-player, so no way to practice on improving. There are often few players on the server, so you're stuck between a handful of absolute newbs, and cheaters/hackers/over-leveled trolls who are so good at the game, you never have a chance. Of course if you need extra content constantly then yes you may not get your money's worth, but for me it's just the constant challenge to be better and the game is developed well enough to allow that.

I paid 6$ on sale for this game, the Season Pass is now free on Origin so I got all the DLCs for free.

I'm not sure I get why EA does this but I won't complain ! There are so many games being released, it's hard to find the time to play all great games (great = over 80% on metacritic usually). So I guess they prefer to make some money than no money by lowering the price. It's great

It's great because it increase the number of players and it makes it more interesting for everyone.
The bad side (for them) is that less and less people will pre-order games.
Anyway I hope this trend continues since it's quite cool for gamers who are able to wait a little !

Others just have to blame themselves, would you marry someone before meeting/seeing her ?
Well it's the same with video games, you should wait to see reviews and gameplay before buying.

So I think the game itself is great.
It feels like Battlefield but with more action (too much?) and it's quite refreshing to play with Titans
(reminds me of tanks in BF)
    The graphics are great.
I will update my review when I will have played more but so far so good.

In the mind-boggling question that tortures world's biggest gaming studios (how to refresh the competitive FPS genre), Respawn answers by taking the Call of Duty core, enhancing it with elements from various sources and franchises (Mech games, Crysis , Tribes, Mirror's Edge etc.) and forging it in the Old School mold (Quake/Unreal Tournament) . Titanfall does not innovate. It manages, however, to leave a fresh taste by balancing nicely all components of its gameplay.

Titanfall is a highly entertaining online shooter, but it's a bit light on content for a full priced game. You quickly start to realize that Titanfall could desperately use more maps, more unlockables, more upgrades and more customization. [Apr 2014]
