Nice game! Not THE game like the people was saying.
The problem is you stop enjoying the game in a few days.
And the support of Respawn is one of the worse i've ever seen.

For mi this is only a Call Of Duty with titans.

I played Beta and I kinda liked it, but I just literally can't play release version. When I start a game and a loading screen appears it just can't get through and I get server connection error. So I guess it's 0/10, when you buy a game and can't play it.

I went into Titanfall with an open mind, looking forward to trying out some of the 'cool' mech walkers that the game surrounds. I had read very little about the game, having only watched one or two promo videos.

To this end I did not know to what extent the game had no campaign. I clicked 'Campaign' to discover that I was immediately thrown into a multiplayer battle. I did fairly well being a veteran of multiple FPS games but found over the next few missions that the story was essentially non existent. This isn't a deal breaker by any means. I play many games that are 'Multiplayer Only'. I would just rather not be duped into thinking there WAS a campaign.

Still, I persevered with the shallow storyline excited to experience what looked to be a seriously polished and revolutionary game. I kept playing waiting for Titanfall to grab me the way that it seems to have grabbed everyone else. It just didn't happen...
The entire game feels shallow and 'by the numbers'. There's nothing new here that hasn't been done before and often, done better.
The game looks fantastic and runs smoothly the gameplay and levels are shallow.
After three sittings trying to enjoy this game, and I really did want to enjoy it - I asked Origin for a refund.
I am no fan of any specific games, I am open to anything good. I have read people say that people don't like it because they are 'noobs'. I am by no means a noob, I am just a gamer who has seen a lot of games over the years.
There are a lot of bad games out there as the market becomes saturated with more and more A+ titles.
    This is one of them.

If you are looking for the next fast paced shallow FPS then this will probably satiate you.
If you are looking for one of those rare games that actually warrants critical acclaim, look elsewhere and save your money for something else.

Fun at first, will not play anymore because the game play is flat.

Bland, boring and typical shooter with a AAA price tag. I feel utterly ripped off. I came expecting something ground breaking and got mediocre in every respect. If I simply wanted a lobby shooter with mechs I could get one for free on steam or play MWO. Let me begin this review by saying that Titanfall has the potential to be a great game. That said, my actual experience didn't come close to living up to the hype. That said, my actual experience didn't come close to living up to the hype. First off, if I spend $85 on a game, I'm expecting amazing graphics and lots of content. On a modern gaming rig in 2014, the graphics are awful, combined with the fact that the maps are tiny and there is not very much customization, and there are only 15 maps. The combat mostly seems to be running around in circles and frantically jumping and firing until someone's shots (which aren't even affected by recoil) hit the target, then they die. It's difficult to tell the difference between opposing players and the AI bots, made worse by the fact that the AI bots are completely and utterly worthless. Then, the worst part, the size of the game: 50 GB for this little content because we need uncompressed audio for ten languages? Is Respawn for real? It's like they don't want people with decent PCs and SSDs to play the game, because there is no way this game should be taking up 1/5th of a decent sized SSD for this amount of content, for no justifiable reason other than to help people with bad computers, which the graphics were clearly designed for (I'd be happy if the graphical settings could extend higher up, but nope). When I play a FPS, I like there to be aiming and strategy, and to start you have three methods of aiming: a rifle which you only have time to shoot from the hip, a pistol with an aimbot, or a shotgun. Where's the skill? It's all reflex. So to sum it up, Call of Duty style action (as a seasoned Battlefield player, that's exactly what I don't want) in tiny maps without much customization, and terrible graphics to go with taking up a whopping 50 GB of space. I am completely disappointed. Expand

Bought the game yesterday because the beta was quite interesting and I really wanted to see how far the action goes. But to my disappointment it goes nowhere. The game is practically the same with the addition of a couple of extra guns, 2 game modes and boring a campaign.
It would be reasonable to charge 10$ for this game, but 60$? Be serious.

This game is overall pretty bad. Call of Duty with mechs doesn't do it justice. The game is made for people with attention spans lower than 10 seconds but the issue is that there is no real accomplishment in what you do. All of the guns I used were lasers with no recoil and no compensation needed, just point and shoot, rinse and repeat. The game accepts that it's skill ceiling is so low that they need to give you unlocks to make you feel accomplished. I want a game that I, myself improve at rather than just getting some dumb unlock that does things for me. And the smart pistol was a retarted idea to begin with. Graphics are laughable, regardless of platform.
The map indicators and HUD could use some work.
The current maximum player count is 6v6. [its 2014 for gods sake!!!]
No server browser. [On a PC game, are you serious?]
Weapon damage & accuracy are both a joke, unless you just pub it up with a shotgun map after map, and that's not a solution, that's adapting to bad balancing.
Bots were presumably added to combat this out-of-date player limit, but they only hamper the fun due to their horrific, laughable, erratic, incomprehensibly terrible AI behavior.

It having been shipped to both PC and XBox at launch, this has prevented the PC version from being able to fully realize its potential, which may be resolved in future PC-only updates. For the time being, do not waste your money on this game..

[I went against my better judgement here, not being a fan of ANY recent title with EA on it, and should have gone with my instincts, especially at the 'premium game' price of $60 bucks]

I think towards when I quit they were just installing some sort of anti cheat, or activating, but regardless I had grown tired of it by that time, along with how the campaign ruins it as well. The best way to avoid cheaters was to play campaign, but the downside of that is sometimes teams get so stacked because of people in a party together that you can't really enjoy the game(this more so when you're new). Once I had gotten the hang of the game and met people that played on the same level as myself, we pretty much ran through anybody we played. In one of the updates on the game they did it so if you lose two matches in a row, it finds you new opponents. That's fine, but here's the other part that's killing the game. Say you just played map 5, and you beat the other team two matches in a row, or they beat you. The game then attempts to find new appoints on map 5, if not then it'll backtrack to map 4(previous map you played). Then if that doesn't work it'll start you all over back on map 1 and you'll likely run into the same people that you got separated with. So if you're trying to complete campaign or story mode or whatever it is, it makes it virtually impossible so it takes you forever to unlock the other two titans. I didn't have this problem but I noticed it in one of the updates and I've even tried to tell them this but it's been disregarded. I regret spending the money, and I wouldn't recommend anybody else buying this game, not until they actually get some people to fix the problems of the game, and that's if it's not too late by now. In the mind-boggling question that tortures world's biggest gaming studios (how to refresh the competitive FPS genreĀ), Respawn answers by taking the Call of Duty core, enhancing it with elements from various sources and franchises (Mech games, Crysis , Tribes, Mirror's Edge etc.) and forging it in the Old School mold (Quake/Unreal Tournament) . Titanfall does not innovate. It manages, however, to leave a fresh taste by balancing nicely all components of its gameplay.
