Campaign had its moments but its very short and easy. Played on hard and finished it around 6 hours. It has some cool mechanics but story is meh. You just fight bosses one after another. Multiplayer is kinda fun but I believe not many people playing it so as a level 1 player I played against level 50s.

Apex Legends made me curious about this game, and I got it from Origin store for 7,50€. And I must say, this must be the best 7,50€ investment I made in my 30-year life. Amazing, high octane single player with classic FPS feel but also great platforming, story, and pacing of the action.

And the biggest plus for this game is that it has the best mecha battle I've ever seen. Titans, their weapons, abilities, and AI are absolutely amazing. It's been a long time since I felt like playing a game non-stop for hours without getting bored.

If you like Apex Legends' shooting, movement, and overall feel, you will definitely fall in love with Titanfall 2.

Outstanding FPS, truly an edge above the rest. The single player campaign is fairly short but extremely high quality. Multiplayer is among the best in current FPS. Shame the EA murdered it with their stupid sales strategy.

For $5-10 on sale there's no reason you should not have this.

To anyone of you who haven't tried the multiplayer, it's worth trying it out, may be unforgiving at first because half of the pc playerbase are either semi-god or full god at this game but it's your only way to get better at this game

Absolutely amazing and severely underrated. Everything about this game feels great: from the responsive menus (which is rare in this day of console ports), to the fluid gameplay and a not too shabby story.
The multiplayer is pretty dead at this point, there is barely anyone playing. So can't say much about it. But the single player is definitely worth the price of admission. It's a shame

This is something of a shame as the action scenes are well done but are constantly broken up by this Lara Croft style nonsense to the point where you come to feel the designers had no clear idea of what they wanted this game to be.

I was not impressed either by the need to manually edit a video file to have this game capture the correct setting for a well known graphics card.

All in all if you like the idea of Tomb Raider mixed in with manned battle robots in a futuristic setting you may well enjoy this game. For myself its a disappointment.

    - Some extremely creative level design, with the academy/research lab level being an incredible stand out. One of the best FPS levels I have played in a long, long time.
    - Titan battles are unlike anything else.

    Cons:
    - The story is very cliche and relatively unexciting. The characters leave a lot to be desired, although there are certainly a few entertaining moments.
    - Boss battles are lame
    - Too short
    - The actual shooting is not particularly fun
    - Two weapon limit is annoying for a single player campaign
    - Very low number of different enemy types
    - Pilot weapons feel very low impact, particularly the shotguns and the grenade launchers. There's just no "oomph" to them.

    Final Word:

There are plenty of really interesting things in there. The single player campaign is engaging and fun, perhaps not the longest but for a linear style game its great fun. The multiplayer is where i have issues. When its a good match, its great fun and really engaging. It is really fast but with the titan mechanic it means the game shift into a slower yet more dangerous pace as the match goes on and you can use many tactics to combat titans so it doesnt feel too overpowered but still formidable.
However, I have seldom found a game that can be this frustrating. If you are an angry gamer then you may find this a bit much. So often i find myself wondering why i get killed in a fraction of the time it takes me to kill someone else even though we are using the same gun. Then there is the way you sometimes get stuck in the most stupid places when wall running. Sometimes you can run around objects and the next time you will get stuck on it. Then there is the way that sometimes it feels like the whole map can see you at all times, there is abilities that can do that but some matches it is more than suspicious how you get spotted. Which then brings up suspicious players, some people say the game is full of them but i have only come across a few, but when you do meet them they ruin the match entirely. There are also quite a few modes but for some reason i only ever get to play attrition, which is a mix of pvp and pve and good fun in a good match. It just seems that people dont play the other modes though.
I got this through origin access and I am glad i didnt pay for it. If i had bought the game i would have been really disappointed. I am a casual gamer and i play for fun, and often the multiplayer is not fun and just makes me shut the game down. I get the feeling that it would be better on console. If it was a bit more consistent then it would have been a great game but there are so many "wtf, how did that not kill them" and "how is that possible?" moments that it gets frustrating. Could be a great game if you have a good group of friends though. Glad i played it but also glad i didnt buy it.

The single player campaign is absolutely fun! As a long time Counter Strike player, I've long since became bored of FPS games. Highly recommend because there aren't a lot of game out there where you can control a giant mech warrior. I also hate puzzles and this game does involve path finding but the checkpoints always make sure you spawn very close to where you died. This reduces frustrations. Where you need to go via wall walking or double jumping is obvious. Play the game! Expand

The gunplay and movement is very tight and fluid, even when in the Titan which feels heavy and slow (as it should) you still feel almost graceful, it's a brilliant balance. Optimisation is great as well, I was hitting 144fps indoors and 80-100fps outdoors with a GTX 970 on high settings. The whole package just feels very polished.

As for the multiplayer it's good, quite intimidating when you first jump in because there's just so much customisation and content to catch up on, but I found myself enjoying it more and more with each rank up and after this review I'll be playing some more for sure. A lot of the devs who worked on TF2 worked on Call of Duty: MW and MW2 which IMO were two of the best, so you can expect a similar feel to those games, just with massive Titans added to this mix. The game still has a healthy playerbase, I never had to wait more than a minute for a match, often less and the game uses dedicated servers so my connection was solid with only 8ms.

Titanfall 2 is now available on Origin Access which is only £3.99 a month, you can sign up and cancel straight away which is what I did and it was well worth it just for TF2 alone.

Not much of a story to go on, but the relationship between the main protagonist and his trustworthy Mecha develops wonderfully. Both characters improve the experience with some quality banter and humour and in the end I was left feeling an actual emotional bond with my "Titan".

I was also pleasantly surprised with some innovative and original gameplay elements that added interesting variation to the flow of the game and never let it become monotonous and repetitive.

If you think the singleplayer is not worth it because it's a multiplayer game, you are very wrong. You should definitely give it a shot. Trust me, pilot.

Titanfall 2. The game EA made right, and the saddest thing is the low player base, with **** games such as COD and other kind of BS, no one even gives a chance to Titanfall, one time EA does something right, and no one gives it credit, so they go back to making **** games and people buy them more than they buy the good ones.

And get this, the estimated time to find a match (even though the "Network" was evidently full of players) was 15 minutes! Thank God Respawn Entertainment is protecting me from my own stupidity, which would no doubt manifest itself at a server selection screen. Nope, Respawn decides where and who you'll play with for you, because you aren't smart enough to do that yourself. The PC now represents 3% of COD's sales because of garbage like that. No wonder the game didn't sell; anyone who bought Titanfall 1 would have known about the console style matchmaking, and steered clear.

this is my most favourite multiplayer FPS since many years. i love the speed of it and the movement mechanics in general. shooting is incredibly rewarding as well. I've also played the single player campaign twice, because i've enjoyed a lot. Titanfall 2 just looks exactly how I like my sci-fi to looks. The community is great and mostly present on reddit in r/titanfall.

First and foremost, if you get this for multiplayer, is better to look elsewhere. Extremely promising at first, it gets horrid after a while.
Anyway, i got this game because Angry Joe recommended it. I don't regret it, but ONLY because the campaign. It doesn't have a good story, plot wise, and is quite short (more like an introduction to the MP part) but it has BT7274. The bond was real.

After the campaign is finished you only have the MP.
    - multiplayer is fast paced (read hectic).
    - plenty of weapons to chose from (whit no real difference between them)
    - plethora of skins for pilots and titans, but not many models.
    - HITBOX is the size of Pentagon. Check the kill cams on YouTube game-play videos. Basically you shoot left, and you kill right. It may work well for you, but works just as well for the enemy.

I bought Titanfall and Titanfall2. I will not buy any Titanfall games, but i would buy a game from Relic Entertainment, provide it is not multiplayer based. They failed me twice, not going to try one of their MP recipes again.

The tweaks they made to the game make it not quite as fast, but it feels more balanced to me with more options for different styles of gameplay.

I don't think I'll stop playing the game this time like I did with Titanfall 1, this game just feels very complete and I feel like I now have goals to work for in multi-player with the new unlock system, instead of just working to get better at the game.

While I am happy they won't be doing paid DLC for the multi-player, as that fractured the player base of the first game, I actually wouldn't mind some paid Story DLC expansions, which could be ignored by the people not interested and not fracture the multi-player community.

i stumbled on TF 1 and loved it. Yes the smartpistol sucked, the shotgun is to easy and some other weapons where overpowerd. But still it is a fun game, and as far as I know having fun is the reason for playing games.

Finally not that long ago TF 2 came in to this world. Most people i was playing with, couldn t wait for TF 2. The first reviews made some people doubt TF 2, but still they bought it.

Having read some good and some bad reviews, i thought who cares i am buying the game, i paid 10 euros for TF 1, and spent allmost 1000 hours playing it, even with 50 hours playtime it will be worth it.

I started with the campaign, i thought it would be a standard somewhat short campaign and yes it was. But it was a really fun campaign i had not seen in a long time and allready found my money well spent. I was even pleased to see that i could play at a constant 144 frames per second with my gtx 1070, well not all the time but most of the time on the lowest setting possible at 1080 p. So that is good. The game looks great at high settings or more, and offcourse looks a bit poor on the lower settings, but still looks good enough to enjoy. TF 2 movement is really really fast , so playing at 120hz/ 144hz is better then great graphics.

On to the multiplayer part. Really i did not like it, I wanted my titanshields back, I hated the stupid battery I had to get to boost my titans livespan. The movement of the Pilot felt slower then in TF 1. I said goodby to TF 2, and went back to TF 1.

Strange enough the movement in TF 1 felt slower then in TF 2, i missed the slidding over the floor i did in TF 2. I did not understand why TF 1 felt that much slower then TF 2, because i was sure it was the other way around. So I went back to TF 2, and yes after a while I was getting it, and Damm I was moving fast, jumping around, sliding over rooftops, getting behind other players and snapping there necks like little twigs. And after the sliding, jumping and dodging bullets and heavy fire I could call in my own walking tank, and i would smash, crush, shoot, burn, and cut those other Pilots and have a blast with it.

TF 2 is fun, you can play with tactics it is allmost a must if you want to win. It is great playing with a group of people, that really gives a good edge over other teams. I do not understand why a **** game like BF 1 sells bigtime and TF 2 is doing poorly, The game does not deserve it, it is not for everybody, but even if it is not you're kind of game, 9 out of 10 people will not find it a waste of money. People who give TF 2 a very low score did not give it a chance, For most players it takes some time and practice to get good at it, When you figure out what works for you its great.

I loved the first titanfall and played it to death - there seemed to be a better balance in guns - now youre a freaking moron if you pick a sniper or anything else than SMG's and the Devotion LMG. The melee attack has a frustrating lockon mechanism that makes it feel supercheap whenever you have a close duel with someone that just pushes F and then instantly wins over you.

TL;DR: This game is a SERIOUS step down from the first Titanfall, it feels less fluid in its parkour, it feels cheap and unbalanced in its weapons and the titans which are now hero archetypes really stink aswell, since theres really only 2 titans that get played since theyre so OP.
only positive about this is: its running great and the singleplayer is actually really good.

This is certainly true of the multiplayer. Infact, I'd argue it's not quite as good as the original. Perhaps because the first game was so fresh and original amongst a sea of bland, iterative shooters that it stood out. The first game got everything nailed much like the original Modern Warfare - it had just the right level of customisation, titans, weapons, game modes and maps. However with Titanfall 2, the developers seem to have gone down a more "let's add MORE menu stuff" route like Call of Duty did. Gone are the simple pre-set default classes and limited choice of attachments and perks. The original was simple: as with CoD4, you could get away with not caring about any create-a-class nonsense and just focus on playing, match after match with no distractions. In Titanfall 2, there are more weapons, attachments, perks, titans, custom class options, titles etc. From a purely objective view these don't make the game worse - after all, more is better right? But from a gameplay experience, the whole emphasis on networks and deeper customisation take away from the core experience for me.

That said, one thing they haven't got wrong is the mechanics. The fast-paced action, movement and shooting are nailed. However the multiplayer still feels a bit lacking compared to the original. Perhaps I preferred the Xbox One version, with the controls and players. But I can definitely say that the maps are much worse in this version; as are the titans. The maps are not as well-designed, don't offer exciting gameplay and are too big; - as a result the game feels much slower than it should. Furthermore titans seem a lot weaker than they did in the original. I'd also like to mention that I was rather good at the original - always did really well in all game modes, top of my team etc. but in this version I suck (maybe Xbox version is easier, or players on PC are better)- something to bear in mind.

Final note regarding the multiplayer: the player base. Given the unfortunate timing of the game's launch, the PC player base has about 2500 concurrent players online. This isn't too bad, given matches are 6v6 but it means you won't be getting into matches soon. Furthermore, it's cirtually impossible to find people in the objective game modes - which in my opinion are the most fun. This isn't helped by the fact that there are two separate "pages" in the UI for modes, and the first page doesn't contain these modes - and it is not immediately apparent that there is another "page" with more game modes.

Now onto why I'm giving this a positive review. Simply put, the campaign makes up for where the multiplayer was lacking. I'm a huge fan of Modern Warfare's campaign, and Titanfall 2's campaign delivers an extremely high-quality, decent length and sufficiently varied campaign with a decent story, good level design and perfect pacing. In particular, I'd like to highlight the rather excellent attempt to highlight the emotional bond between Titan and Pilot - it is truly what makes the story; even though the overall plot of the game is very generic and uninspiring. Some levels are more interesting than others, such as one where you can timewarp. There are also plenty of pre-set titan loadouts which you can switch to at any time, but these are unlocked gradually throughout the campaign. Overall there is a perfect balance between all of the things that make Titanfall... well, Titanfall - platforming/wallrunning, shooting and of course, Titan battles. For the best experience, I would recommend playing the game on at least Hard, as it is quite easy.

Contrary to what some critics claim (looking at you, TotalBiscuit!), the campaign is anything but "throw-away". In my opinion, the campaign is the sole reason to purchase this game as it delivers a solid experience in all aspects. It's nothing particularly revolutionary or special, but compared to most shooters of this kind, Titanfall 2 has one of the best campaigns I've ever played. It even has a time trial tutorial level (clear influence from Modern Warfare games) and this provides some replay value.

Also if you're into achievements, you'll be pleased to know that, as with Modern Warfare games, they are almost entirely single player.
Visually, the game blew me away at every level. The graphics and art style are perfect, and if Origin had a screenshot key, I would have taken many. It runs flawlessly on max settings.

To conclude, I would argue that Titanfall 2's multiplayer doesn't feel anywhere near as exciting or special as the original's, and the playerbase is worryingly low just months after launch. However, given the high-quality campaign - which, in my view, is not a common sight in AAA shooters - as well as the game's signature mechanics, it's worth playing if you like first-person shooters and want something exciting.

And my biggest problems are the **** pilot skills like being unseable (this skill ruins the multiplayer you get killed out of nowhere an you can´t defend you because the weapons deals so much damage that you are instant dead.) and the map design because they pushed the titans so that you can´t destroy them like in the first TF. Now you have to jump on them and pull the battery out. But they arent dead after that so you have to jump on them again and throw a nade in the battery case no problem. But you have to do that **** 3 or 4 times until the titan is dead who the **** had this idea ? So ok well maybe its possible to do that if the maps are balanced so that you can hide and jump on it but that isn´t the case. So mostly you are in an open area and you pulled the battery ou´t and try to jump on the titan again but he sees you because you have nothing to hide at and year well he kills you instant. Great balancing and totaly fair.

Multiplayer isn't fun. Titanfall 1 had innovative, agile movement. Maps in TF2 have huge gaps where you have to walk on the ground which destroys fluidity of movement. In fact, the game plays so slow, you are better off camping. In TF1, campers would get destroyed by a fast player moving all over the place. TF1 and TF2 are two very different games.

Time required to kill an opponent is less then a second, meaning you will often die without any chance of responding. It's a lot worse than CoD.

Mech fighting is ok, but worse than TF1. There are more mechs, but the fights are less interesting.

23rd January 2017. there's 500-3500 people playing at the same time.

    Great game, very weak Titanfall.

    + epic single player
    + gameplay
    - lack of customization
    - lack of immersion
    - lack of 1st person animations
    - lack of AI in MP modes
All things for which Titanfall 1 is loved for has been taken.

Very secondary to the first Titanfall, with no new ideas, no original concepts, bad design, mediocre gameplay, dull maps, grey colors, and almost the same graphics as its predcessor, Titanfall 2 makes the perfect example of the failed sequel that can be sold for $50 to the hungry over hyped crowd of nerds.

A game that hugely deserves all the praise it's receiving: The single player campaign is great, if short, and the multiplayer is fast and frantic, relying heavily on agile player movement, and game modes that discourage camping tactics and keeps you moving around the battlefield.

Whether you're on the ground as a pilot, or behind the helm of a one of the titular titans, you never feel ineffective in combat. While a good titan can dominate the battlefield, a good pilot relying on their smaller size and higher mobility can still cause them serious problems, grappling them or mounting them unseen to steal their batteries to cause damage - which can then be used to boost friendly titans - or drop grenades into their chassis, firing at them with anti-titan weapons, sticking them with thermite grenades to blind and damage them, or arc grenades to disrupt their visuals and movement.

Another nice feature of the multiplayer is the lack of downtime. Thanks to NPC units that spawn during multiplayer matches - which can be farmed for points and to reduce your ability cooldown - and because players tend to constantly move around the map, you rarely spawn far from a firefight, so action is pretty much constant during a match. You're also not heavily penalised for dying, aside from granting your opponents some extra points towards victory. Death is a way of the game, brush yourself off, and get back into the fight.

Graphically, the game looks beautiful, and the sound direction backs it up well, with full voice acting provided throughout the single player campaign, suitably epic situational music samples, and general background noise you'd expect - though you'd be strained to hear it over the regular firefights during the game. All weapons seem to have their own unique firing sounds, which is always nice to see.

Another focus of praise has to be the DLC scheme - the paid maps in the first game did little to help the smaller playerbase of the game, as players found themselves fragmented based on what map DLC they'd purchased. Respawn have made it clear that all map and weapon additions to the game will be free to all players, with only non-gameplay affecting cosmetics costing money - and this is on top of the extensive cosmetic skins already present and unlockable in the game through standard gameplay. I'm also pleased to see that they haven't gone down the "loot box" route in regards to premium cosmetic content - you pay your money, you get what you paid for . No frustrating scheme of paying for lootboxes for a chance to "spin the wheel" here.

Downsides? The multiplayer could still do with a little some rebalancing, with certain titans and weapons seeing far more use than others due to them being just being plain better - At the same time though, time-to-kill is low, which whilst important for keeping the action flowing, it means that most automatic weapons in the game are capable of quickly vaporising pilots quickly enough with sustained fire - which makes any unique properties they might possess seem minimal at best.

Some also say that the maps aren't of as high a quality as the first game either, with less focus on verticality in regards to pilot movement, and the popularity of one of the original maps in the first free DLC pack certainly seems to support this. It might have also been nice to see the grappling hook be a standard piece of equipment in the game, rather than an optional pilot ability, since it supports the high focus on player movement well. There have also been a few gripes about the length of the single player campaign, though I might argue that a shorter, high quality campaign is better than a longer one that suffers in quality as a result.

But these are all very minor niggles in what is otherwise a fantastic game. The only other downside I've found? Try playing any other popular multiplayer FPS on the market at the moment after a round of Titanfall 2 - you'll find yourself immediately frustrated at just how *goddamned slow* they are.

Now for the review: This is a great game, a really great game!. My only negative points for this game are:
1: sadly a low multiplayer base, but it´s on a slow incline because of the great reviews and the replayability and the fact that there are no season pass or DLC´s to waste your money afterwards is slowly getting thru to people. oh, and also the free-2-play weekends.
2: a friggin amazing but a little too short SinglePlayer. (but it´s sure replayable)

Otherwise, this is an amazing game that you should not hesitate buying!

TF2 offers a very good, fun and well-designed campaign, often times surprisingly atmospheric. It's strongly reminescent of old-school FPS games like Half Life 2 or Singularity. Which, while more varied than in the first game, is also a lot worse in nearly every other aspect.

In short, the game was CoD-ified to hell in a desperate attempt at grabbing a wider player base. It features God-awful map design, totaly unbalanced weapons, clumsy movement (Can't believe I'm saying this about Titanfall), absurdly low TTK, broken Pilot/Titan balance which was so masterfully achieved in Titanfall 1, and the list goes on and on.

There are good ideas in Titanfall 2, but they almost always come off as badly realised. In the end, when the first game, while lacking in content and variety, felt fast, witty, well designed, skill based and intelligent, Titanfall 2 comes of as luck-based, random, often brutish and unbalanced. The brilliant, skill-rewarding gameplay of yore was replaced with the simplistic CoD mentality of "kill, die, repeat".

I don't mind changes between games in a franchise, in fact I am almost always the person to defend them, but nearly everything Titanfall 2 changed is for the worse, often times going directly against the principles that made the first game great.

Once the price drops, play the campaign, it's worth it. And... That's it. The multiplayer is yet another dissapointment in a year of dissapointing releases.

Titanfall 2 is the same 'kitchen sink' approach to FPS game mechanics as the first game, except refined to the point that it's lost any pretense of the accessibility the first game had. MechwarriorTitanfall 2 is the same 'kitchen sink' approach to FPS game mechanics as the first game, except refined to the point that it's lost any pretense of the accessibility the first game had. Ostensibly a game about giant robots, the key mechanic is actually playing super-bouncy-castle FPS in wall running 'Pilot' mode, with incredibly generic FPS weapons and super low time to kill. Mechwarrior this ain't; the robots are a cute reward for being able to score quick kills rather than the centerpiece of anything.

Quite possibly this is great if you already have 1000 hours CoD experience and are looking for an amusing diversion. And the single player is definitely some fun, again though mostly if you *really* love wall running. What's there is however is rather dampened down by the utter lack of any decent backstory or setting, and the incredibly generic main guy (your standard brand-new grunt who is somehow far better at everything than everyone else, for no obvious reason). The vibe is incredibly mediocre, it's like, Respawn could almost see how this stuff might actually be important, but still couldn't quite bring themselves to care.

And this is TitanFall2's main weakess - they really genuinely just aren't interested inanything other than fully sick FPS combat. Everything is clumsily levered together with so very little regard for story, setting or simulation - lightning fast space marines supported by giant robots who occasionally fall out of sky, slightly faster for no obvious reason if you kill a few dudes quickly first. And that might even be fine, if it had a sense of humour about itself like say Total Annihilation. But it *really* doesn't. It's a very min-maxed game, and if you're a passionate FPS master with an utter disdain for games as entertainment, there's possibly a lot to like. But if you prefer games to actually look like a genuine representation of the things they're simulating, then TitanFall2's constant 'turn everything up to 11' ethos will leave you feeling a little flat.

And that's the central problem that leaves me unable to agree with the high scores this game has received. TitanFall2 is super leet - but not very much fun.

Pros: dizzying adrenaline pounding super extreme fast paced next level FPS
    Cons: y tho?

The single player campaign is original and well above other shooters.
It has some original game mechanics (a mix of mirror's edge and portal).
Also the multiplayer was quite fun to play.

Single player great!! 6 hours that i really loved didn't even noticed the time passed.
Multiplayer complete crap! no balance whatsoever. Just shoot and hope for a head shot wait for the titan. You have to "unlock" weapons and added bonus ...map hack boost in the game .... who ever thought of that must be a complete moron.
Gz on the team that did the single player as for the rest who

By addressing the biggest criticisms of the first game, Respawn has managed to improve an already great shooter. Fast-paced, electric single-player campaign along with a full-featured multiplayer has made Titanfall 2 a must play for shooter fans.

The 2nd installment of the Titanfall series continues down the right path yet again. It is truly one of the best First Person Shooters of this generation.

It’s the most enjoyable shooter I’ve played in a long, long time, a brilliant mix of different flavors that you simply need to try. [13/2016, p.52]
