the balance of the game is terrible, some of the guns, titans and even boosts give people who is a piece of human garbage a chance to ruin your time with, for example, a one-way bulletproof wall with an LMG camper can be super hard to kill if his spot covers a large area, a titan which can kill any pilot in 1 shot with its main gun, and a boost that gives you a pistol which automatically locks onto any player or NPC in view, there's a lot more then I can mention here but these imbalances give the veterans a really big advantage if they chose to abuse these mechanics, which makes someone like me who doesn't like "cheese tactics" suffer, once you realize the imperfections of the game, you will start to realise that all the perfect reviews of the game just attempt to get new players into the game so they can keep it alive, too bad there are people who are just too good or just abuse the flaws of the game ruins the game for me.

you can call this a rant more than a review but know that this game might not be "the perfect/most underrated game of the century" like some other people might have told you, if you buy this game, don't expect a casual experience in multiplayer, though you might get good enough if you really want to dedicate yourself into this underpopulated game, anyway, I just hope whoever is buying this game don't get the experience the same as how I did.

I enjoyed the first Titanfall. It had cool robots, intense action and it kind of reminded me of the old Metal Fatigue game. I really hoped that TF2 would improve over the first one and be more competitive but they somehow managed to make this even worse. They turned the multiplayer in a colored cartoon where enemies glow red and have healthbars over their heads. They removed titan loadout customization and nerfed down the titans to the point that they die extremly fast. If the first game took away the focus from player vs player action having to kill specters and grunts, now you also have to fight these robot reapers who are extremely annoying. Matchmaking sucks once again, but then again a proper matchmaking system would require a high player base. They made the game even more casual but most importantly they removed the whole immersion and military feeling from the first one. The campaign is awesome as they say but its short and not enough to justify for the price. I'm going to stick to Titanfall 1 for now... Expand

The customization is minimal, compared to the first titan fall, and the titan play feels a bit less intiutive.

No longer do titans have shields right off the bat, so the hit and tag gameplay of the previous game no longer exists. No longer can pilots use counter measures as quickly, so expect a successful rodeo to cause the death of your titan.

They did add a lot of player classes to the game... despite them still recycling the old one. TBH, I think they should have kept the old loadout system, so we could have some versatility, but added the new core types and weapons to the mix.

Its not bad, but its not as customizatble as the first titanfall... Its not bad in any way, similar gun play. They try to make up for the lack of customizing your titans weapons by giving you the ability to apply a paint job to your titan... Once again, should just let me customize the titans chasis, weapon, and salvo... like in the first one.... If you couldnt tell, thats my main complaint about the multiplayer, they dumbed down the titan gameplay.

Its interesting how challenging is so often confused with frustrating. Titanfall 2 takes the idea of a mech warrior style combat sim and for me ruins it,

This is something of a shame as the action scenes are well done but are constantly broken up by this Lara Croft style nonsense to the point where you come to feel the designers had no clear idea of what they wanted this game to be.

I was not impressed either by the need to manually edit a video file to have this game capture the correct setting for a well known graphics card.

All in all if you like the idea of Tomb Raider mixed in with manned battle robots in a futuristic setting you may well enjoy this game. For myself its a disappointment.

I'm only giving it a seven, not a higher score, because it was all over in two nights of playing, and I don't see myself replaying it again in the near future, as I've got plenty of other great shooters with more interesting stories and worlds to play in.
Still a blast if you can pick it up cheap though.

TF2 offers a very good, fun and well-designed campaign, often times surprisingly atmospheric. It's strongly reminescent of old-school FPS games like Half Life 2 or Singularity. Unfortunetly, it's not enough to salvage a messy multiplayer, and, given how brief the campaign is, the game needs to be rated primarily by the multiplayer mode. Which, while more varied than in the first game, is also a lot worse in nearly every other aspect.

In short, the game was CoD-ified to hell in a desperate attempt at grabbing a wider player base. It features God-awful map design, totaly unbalanced weapons, clumsy movement (Can't believe I'm saying this about Titanfall), absurdly low TTK, broken Pilot/Titan balance which was so masterfully achieved in Titanfall 1, and the list goes on and on.

There are good ideas in Titanfall 2, but they almost always come off as badly realised. In the end, when the first game, while lacking in content and variety, felt fast, witty, well designed, skill based and intelligent, Titanfall 2 comes of as luck-based, random, often brutish and unbalanced. The brilliant, skill-rewarding gameplay of yore was replaced with the simplistic CoD mentality of "kill, die, repeat".

I don't mind changes between games in a franchise, in fact I am almost always the person to defend them, but nearly everything Titanfall 2 changed is for the worse, often times going directly against the principles that made the first game great.

Once the price drops, play the campaign, it's worth it. And... That's it. The multiplayer is yet another dissapointment in a year of dissapointing releases.

Campaign had its moments but its very short and easy. Played on hard and finished it around 6 hours. It has some cool mechanics but story is meh. You just fight bosses one after another. Multiplayer is kinda fun but I believe not many people playing it so as a level 1 player I played against level 50s.

    Pros:
    - Nice story
    - Decent enough controls
    - Good audio
    - Great performance
    - DLC is free

    Cons:
    - Titans can no longer be customised like in TF1
    - Progression system is very slow and unrewarding
    - Merit points seem worthless.
    - most weapons feel underwhelming
    - Controls are -just- not good enough. limitations on chaining wallruns, etc
    - Low playerbase
    - Origin

If this gets "10" scores with gamers saying this is better than Half-Life 2 campaing.... than you guys can be really sad of what the future of gaming is. It is an uninspired Call of Duty game where you can only hold 2 guns which all feel the same but boosted with Mechs that is able to give that little + where nothing else is interesting to play.

    Great game, very weak Titanfall.

    + epic single player
    + gameplay
    - lack of customization
    - lack of immersion
    - lack of 1st person animations
    - lack of AI in MP modes
All things for which Titanfall 1 is loved for has been taken.

    1. UI scaling needs to me mod able like it is in Battlefield.
    2. Hud layout needs simplified and more emphasis set on feeding the player data. with how fast pace this game is the information isnt getting to the player Or is but is so far from the field of view that its impossible to obtain it.
    3. spotting or highlighting of players like BF1 needs to be common place in these fast place shooters...
    4. damage models need looked at.
    5. The weapon handling in the single player is amazing... that didn't translate to the multiplayer it feels like your using toys...
    6. remove the "extra life" at the end of the titans... why is this even a thing...
    7. mouse acceleration is turned on and there is no way to turn it off... please you have Dice to look to in these situations learn from them...
    8. multiplayer "abilities" are what is given to you in single player but moved to be special "abilities". These are common FPS features too... like running and shooting... or fire modes ect... WTF was the multiplayer team thinking when they made this...

Im so frustrated in this game THE SINGLE PLAYER IS THE BEST IVE PLAYED IN YEARS!!!!!!!!!!!! HOW, HOW, HOW................ DO YOU MESS UP FROM THAT. This series should have been an ace in the bag an easy steal but no..... how do you do that well then fail that hard.......... Its like you painted the Mona Lisa but painted a mustache on it.

Attrition mode, one of only two with the required number of people in my location to even START a match, just kept cycling. It would get 12 people, say "starting server," then flip back to zero people and start again. There was a total population of roughly 2,600 people even online. It's just crazy less than a month after launch.

This could be/have been mitigated by two things:
    1. Not releasing the game so close to BF1. (That was the wort decision ever)
    2. Use a server browser, so you can at least see the different modes/players and get a rough estimate of wait time. I dislike games without a server browser a majority of the time.

Another thing is (and I'm not including it above) is that I honestly think being on Origin as opposed to Steam is always a bad thing. I personally know people who won't buy on Origin at all because they don't want to have to deal with a second launcher. While I understand it from a cost saving business perspective, no longer releasing their games to Steam does cut down on the possible audience.

No, the single player campaign is great. It's also not particularly long, as is usually expected in a modern day FPS since the singleplayer is there only to compliment the multiplayer, not the other way around. In the end, no matter how good of a campaign, if there's little to no multiplayer base left, there's little reason for someone to spend their hard earned cash on this for roughly seven hours of playtime.

As I said before, it's sad, because this is a really great game. Thanks to EA bungling it's launch, they've damned it to obscurity.

I've giving the single player a 10, but they multiplayer (or lack thereof) a 2, so yeah. Again, it's not that the multiplayer is bad... just barely existent.

Titanfall 2 is the debut of this series to PlayStation and with this debut comes with an added 6 hour campaign…
And this campaign is far greater than I had any hopes of it being in some cases, while in others really letting me down...
Starting with the good, the gameplay and story here does an awesome job of pulling you towards the credits..
Very early on you become the pilot of a titan named BT and as you play through the story you slowly create a bond with this machine that quickly feels like a living breathing creature…
The banter between you as the pilot and your titan during dialog choices was a highlight for me and had me cracking up as he’s trying to understand human emotion, or comprehend expressions taking them literally…
The campaign has you switching back and forth between being on foot and being in your titan,
And both are so fun and feel so great, but there’s far more focus on being a grounded foot soldier than a titan pilot in this campaign…
Luckily, being on ground can be just as fun as piloting your titan.. wall running and shooting through enemies is a blast, and there are so many cool moments in the campaign that are genuine surprises, and really cool twists the gameplay, there is a decent mix of intrigue, first person shooter, and platforming elements here… Mech fighting is even more fun, and as you progress through the story you unlock new loadouts for your titan all with their own shields, rockets, blasters, and core attacks, so you’re guaranteed to find at least 1 you love that fits your playstyle...
Titan combat can feel much more frustrating though as you don’t have the luxury of health regenerating like you do while on foot..
You have to collect batteries around the combat area or from enemy titans... Which can lead to some pretty frustrating boss battles... but none that ever feel unfair…
Just take much more patience than the first person shooter, platforming sections of the game...
    Now onto the bad..
Gameplay is definitely king, but its 2016 and while Titanfall 2 is fun enough to be ultimately forgiven… it’s nowhere near ambitious enough to look or run the way it does…
I’m not one to usually talk about graphics, but the textures in this game are noticeably awful…
The game really looks bad, its ugly throughout and isn’t helped by the constant dull grey color pallet I thought we got past in 2010, clearly not.. Its back and honestly does take the enjoyment out of the overall experience…
It hardly lives up to the standard of FPS graphics of 5 years ago let alone today...
I want to stop in a game, look around and be awed,
here I stopped, looked around and wondered why this ps4 game looks like a mid-cycle ps3 game… which brings me to the loads…
I can’t remember the last time I saw a load screen between checkpoints in a modern game….
    Well they’re here…. And again I really don’t understand why…
The game isn’t pushing the limits on anything to warrant anything but seamless transitions
I also ran into a game breaking bug in one of the final missions where a team mate fell through the map, and wouldn’t come back even after reloading the checkpoint, causing me to have to restart the chapter from the very beginning to proceed…
Thankfully this wasn’t too annoying and is the only bug I ran into…
And while multiplayer returns, this is my first time experiencing it, and honestly I wasn’t all too blown away…
I had fun, but running around and getting kills to call in my titan around some basic and ugly grey maps wasn’t all too exciting…
There are really no game modes here to make you think outside of the box and strategize like any great multiplayer would…
Its either get kills and bank.. Every mech or pilot for themselves... pilot vs pilot, titan vs titan and the typical capture and hold or capture the flag modes but with tanks..
Though I did personally enjoy titan vs titan the most, as I feel it comes closest to being anything but mindless…
Everything about multiplayer though for the most part feels average, and the battles between the titans isn’t as epic as you would expect and it isn’t as terrifying as you’d expect seeing 1 as just a pilot…
All in all Titanfall 2 is still a fun game, but the overall package is just average…
Lacking a bit of polish and feeling like its already 5 years old...
The star of the show here is hands down the single player and the greatly realized bond between man and titan.
    I give titanfall 2
    a 7.5/10

Granted I am a newbie and am still learning but holy crap does the single player take away the fun. The amount of wall jumping I had to do to pass certain areas of the **** game was annoying as hell. It took me good 7 hours to finish the game not because it was long but because I died so many times doing the wall jumping. I am not sure if the whole point of this game was supposed to be that. This is my first titanfall game. Story was really good, gameplay was good too, its the gameplay mechanics which I did not like. If you do buy this game remember...you cant pass certain areas unless you are good at this wall jumping gimmick, I am not and therefore it took away the fun. Anyways here are the good points:
    1)Amazing optimization...I have a i5 6400 with a gtx 950m AND 8 GB RAM ...no lag whatsoever!
    2) the multiplayer is amazing, hands down one of the best multiplayers I have ever played and is very newb friendly and good community too
3)deep mechanics involved in multiplayer, not just gunning and shooting! Also, tons of customization in multi
4)No forced wall jumping in multiplayer
5)Free dlcs! (how many games nowadays do this?)
6)Good story- will push you to see how it ends!

So, is the game fun then overall? Hell ya the multiplayer is addicting. The single player is quite possibly the most frustrating one I've ever played but I pushed on since the story was really good. But holy smokes the amount of wall jumping I had to do to pass the game made me hate this game....almost...until I joined multi then it was just balls out crazy fun.

I usually don't go and make accounts just to review games but because I got tired of dying and restarting a level I thought id let someone else know before they purchase just for single player. Do not buy this for single player...buy it for multi. Granted I do suck since I'm just starting out however, they should've done something so you could do without wall jumping if needed.
My scale is out of 10, I give both multi and single a score out of 5. Mutli for me was a solid 4.5 and single is 1.5 - too much forced wall jumping. Total then is a 6.

+ Titans and environments look fantastic, even at lower settings
    - Same can't be said for the characters. The villains seem to have gotten a little more love and care than the good guys. Jack, for one, looks like his character model is straight out of a Wii game. Even when I started with the graphics on high his Pixar face looked out of place in a rather realistic-looking game. Other characters like the female commander are just as weird, but I guess that's why everyone usually wears helmets...
+ Gameplay is solid. First person parkour actually feels good, weapon variety was surprising, and both the titan parts and the on-foot sequences felt equally entertaining.
    - No grappling hook in story apparently. Lot's of other toys to play with, but it WAS in the trailer...
    - Game crashed twice for me, and both times it appeared that Origin was to blame. I still beat the campaign, but I can't imagine the frustration of a crash during a multiplayer match.
-While I'm whining about Origin, I got a rather irritating surprise as the game installation stalled halfway through when I "lost internet connection", despite google chrome and steam still having a solid 3.0 mb/s. What's more, the game claims to be playable at 42%, yet I couldn't play it. After shutting my computer down and rebooting it in the morning, I was able to finish installation... But buyer beware, there are issues to be had.

All in all, I wasn't disappointed, and worse ports have come out by more reputable publishers. But until all these issues are patched (*snort* PFFFFTTTT) I'd wait and save yourself some frustration.

Multiplayer isn't fun. Titanfall 1 had innovative, agile movement. Maps in TF2 have huge gaps where you have to walk on the ground which destroys fluidity of movement. In fact, the game plays so slow, you are better off camping. In TF1, campers would get destroyed by a fast player moving all over the place. TF1 and TF2 are two very different games.

Time required to kill an opponent is less then a second, meaning you will often die without any chance of responding. It's a lot worse than CoD.

Mech fighting is ok, but worse than TF1. There are more mechs, but the fights are less interesting.

23rd January 2017. there's 500-3500 people playing at the same time.

    Critica gastronómica, por Bill Simpson.
Titanfall 2 inspira confianza. Una gran campaña individual, con calidad "insaid" shooting productos por pulgada cuadrada.
No mucho más, un poco insulso con la trama. Aun así, curioso.

Titanfall 2 is the same 'kitchen sink' approach to FPS game mechanics as the first game, except refined to the point that it's lost any pretense of the accessibility the first game had. MechwarriorTitanfall 2 is the same 'kitchen sink' approach to FPS game mechanics as the first game, except refined to the point that it's lost any pretense of the accessibility the first game had. Ostensibly a game about giant robots, the key mechanic is actually playing super-bouncy-castle FPS in wall running 'Pilot' mode, with incredibly generic FPS weapons and super low time to kill. Mechwarrior this ain't; the robots are a cute reward for being able to score quick kills rather than the centerpiece of anything.

Quite possibly this is great if you already have 1000 hours CoD experience and are looking for an amusing diversion. And the single player is definitely some fun, again though mostly if you *really* love wall running. What's there is however is rather dampened down by the utter lack of any decent backstory or setting, and the incredibly generic main guy (your standard brand-new grunt who is somehow far better at everything than everyone else, for no obvious reason). The vibe is incredibly mediocre, it's like, Respawn could almost see how this stuff might actually be important, but still couldn't quite bring themselves to care.

And this is TitanFall2's main weakess - they really genuinely just aren't interested inanything other than fully sick FPS combat. Everything is clumsily levered together with so very little regard for story, setting or simulation - lightning fast space marines supported by giant robots who occasionally fall out of sky, slightly faster for no obvious reason if you kill a few dudes quickly first. And that might even be fine, if it had a sense of humour about itself like say Total Annihilation. But it *really* doesn't. It's a very min-maxed game, and if you're a passionate FPS master with an utter disdain for games as entertainment, there's possibly a lot to like. But if you prefer games to actually look like a genuine representation of the things they're simulating, then TitanFall2's constant 'turn everything up to 11' ethos will leave you feeling a little flat.

And that's the central problem that leaves me unable to agree with the high scores this game has received. TitanFall2 is super leet - but not very much fun.

Pros: dizzying adrenaline pounding super extreme fast paced next level FPS
    Cons: y tho?

    MINUS 4
Balance issues. There is this confusing setup of easy to use and hard to use weapons that results in overplayed and underplayed weapons - respectively. The former are easy-to-use hitscan weapons and the latter are weapons with a projectile speed. As this game is a fast paced shooter, the former set of weapons is set to exploit the game's playstyle. As for titans, low-skill-ceiling and high-skill-ceiling titans make for a more restricted list of practical-use titans. This is no place for a casual or the uncommon man. The metas in this game are horribly cancerous. Overall, this makes the game feel part "Wow, I'm using what barely else uses and I am doing decent!" or "Man, this game is a waste of my time and entertainment." This makes matches feel boring in the loadout-selection sense.

Take that away, and the game becomes uniquely fast paced and fun to play. The campaign is above average in a FPS and the no-division DLC plan is a winner.

    Overall score - 6/10
I would pay 40 (Out of 60) dollars for this game on or before launch day, with $60 being the perfect game. I rate this game according to how much I felt if it was worth my time and my 'blender' concept.

The multiplayer is where i have issues. When its a good match, its great fun and really engaging. It is really fast but with the titan mechanic it means the game shift into a slower yet more dangerous pace as the match goes on and you can use many tactics to combat titans so it doesnt feel too overpowered but still formidable.
However, I have seldom found a game that can be this frustrating. If you are an angry gamer then you may find this a bit much. So often i find myself wondering why i get killed in a fraction of the time it takes me to kill someone else even though we are using the same gun. Then there is the way you sometimes get stuck in the most stupid places when wall running. Sometimes you can run around objects and the next time you will get stuck on it. Then there is the way that sometimes it feels like the whole map can see you at all times, there is abilities that can do that but some matches it is more than suspicious how you get spotted. Which then brings up suspicious players, some people say the game is full of them but i have only come across a few, but when you do meet them they ruin the match entirely. There are also quite a few modes but for some reason i only ever get to play attrition, which is a mix of pvp and pve and good fun in a good match. It just seems that people dont play the other modes though.
I got this through origin access and I am glad i didnt pay for it. If i had bought the game i would have been really disappointed. I am a casual gamer and i play for fun, and often the multiplayer is not fun and just makes me shut the game down. I get the feeling that it would be better on console. If it was a bit more consistent then it would have been a great game but there are so many "wtf, how did that not kill them" and "how is that possible?" moments that it gets frustrating. Could be a great game if you have a good group of friends though. Glad i played it but also glad i didnt buy it.

The campaign is pretty good, a lot of great visual spectacles and the parkour and gunplay feel great. The AI on the enemies is pretty bad though and the boss fights were very underwhelming. All of the characters are bland and forgettable aside from BT the Titan who is great. I didn't play much of the multiplayer but what I did play seemed like complete chaos.

Titanfall 2 is a...mixed bag. Which doesn't mean it's bad or even mediocre - the core gameplay of flying around as a Pilot and stomping the fields as a Titan is amazing! But singleplayer is definitely lack luster: though every level has a unique gimmick and they are all fun to play and memorable, the campaign's length(around 5 hours) is disappointing. If anything, the quality of the game only reminds you that there's not a lot of it, when I really would like to just keep playing. The story is also very short, which strongly undermines the bond you develop with BT. Halfway through the game it feelt like BT was really becoming my friend, but when the game ended so abruptly, I feltl like my friendship with my Titan hadn't really finish blossoming, and I for one hope Titanfall 3 will continue developing both Cooper's and BT's character.
But with all that said - the game is still awesome. And if you felt underwhelmed by the singleplayer mode, the multiplayer will definitely justify the purchase. Titanfall 2 is a great game

The gameplay outside the Titan is already good, but inside it is even better. The variation of gameplay within your Titan is huge, thanks to the 7 'classes' that dramatically alter the gameplay within it. Melee combat owes a lot, but it's obviously not the focus.

Level design is great for the style of gameplay they did, something that is extremely necessary here, otherwise the frantic gameplay would not work. The stages were excellent overall.

I played on the PC and the graphics were so beautiful.

The soundtrack is only used when necessary, nothing remarkable.

6/10. The game is terrible. Titan gameplay has so little movement involved. it feels like a dps contest rather than anything skill based. It is frustrating as hell. Also, the game is extremely easy. I was able to finish the game with the highest difficulty settings in my first playthrough, which really shouldn't be the case.
