No Going Back struggles to build anticipation for a conclusion that is clear from the outset, but once past the point of no return, the final episode ramps up to an exciting choice-driven conclusion with five different endings.

This new season of TWD is not emotional, intense and grieving as the first one. The last episode shuts the story in an interesting way, but there has been too many flaws in the previous chapters.

A bunch of flat characters ruin a series of great decisions, moral choices and paths. The First Season is still the best game TellTale Ever made, but season two shows some sparks of greatness that could ignite a big season three.

This messy ending is an appropriate way to wrap a season that evolved into a morality play loaded with grim, philosophical musings about what it means to be a human being, whether you're struggling to survive in a zombie apocalypse or simply learning how to get by in the real world.

Telltale's first season of The Walking Dead felt like a desperately needed breath of fresh air. The Walking Dead Season 2 Finale treads tepid, zombie-infested water. Even in its most meaningful moments, it's a mere approximation of what Telltale has proven itself capable of.

The way Telltale is able to manipulate your emotions so easily is astonishing, so it makes it all the more disappointing the rest of the episode doesn’t come together as well as it could have.

When describing the 3rd episode of the season, In Harm’s Way, I compared Telltale to a maniac who lives to torture his victims. No Going Back only reinforces this impression.

The writing remains generally strong, especially when it comes to giving players the illusion of control in their big dramatic dialogue choices.

The most condemning thing we can say is the dream reminded us of everything missing in the episode; if only we cared as much as Lee and Clementine used to care about each other.

The first Telltale finale where your choices carry true weight, but the inconsistent and contrived characterisation means it comes at considerable cost.

The second season of The Walking Dead has had highpoints, but in the end it can’t match up against the first season.

The ending, and therefore the episode, may please many players. However, from a storytelling standpoint, No Going Back falls flat.

Out of all of the episodes, “No Going Back” is the most relentless.

It's not just about making hard choices, but watching humanity come loose. With beautiful imagery and heart wrenching conflicts, Telltale has knocked the ball out of the park. They have reminded us that apocalypse isn't about the physical breakdown of society, but witnessing the delicate threads which hold human beings together come apart. The people, including Clementine have nothing left to hide behind, as they try to survive by any means possible, however dear the cost. In a sense, they have turned into zombies, mindless and selfish, without the actual death and disease. The plague which riddles their hearts is what makes them the real zombies, The Walking Dead. I thought the last episode was going to be a little different. This episode shows how cruel humanity can be in moments like this. Great conclusion will show you what choice would you make in zombie apocalypse if something like this happens. No matter what ending you get you'll be satisfied with it. This is the best and most cruel episode telltale ever made! It will show you what and who you are. #MyClementine Full Review »
