May 3, 2015Revised rating as they added some nice features in the patches. Still, the game is not nearly as immersive as the previous ones. But not a 0 any more, it's OK.

Apr 15, 2015Don't trust any review that rates this game over a 5. This game, and the reboot of Sim City represent the dying days of EA and Maxis. I didn't think it was possible for the old EA games to be better than the new releases, but that is the case. EA did very little to update the Sims. The newest Sim City is a trainwreck, with very small towns that have less area than the original sim city.

Apr 3, 2015The sims 4 is the best game ever.
I have the sims 4 get to work and i have to say that it's perfect, BUT, There Are No Toddlers in the game and i cant play it like this just cant and I hope that some day they will add it and then i will play the sims 4.

Apr 3, 2015I fail to see how this is in any way a step up from the previous sims? If anything it's almost a step-down. There's nothing to do, there's no restaurants or shopping areas? This is so basic and boring. And if I even want to go anywhere I have to wait 5 minutes at a loading screen! I wish I would have just bought sims 3 again and all the expansion packs for the the same price I paid for this.

Apr 3, 2015A poor game compared to its predecessors. Even with updates, missing a lot of base game features found in 2 and 3.
You'll find many little annoyances, such as everyone being exactly the same height, and lots of big ones, such as no more open world and families dying out through no Story Progression.
Overall a huge step back. -
Mar 30, 2015No this isn't sims 3. This is the sims 4. Although they took away a lot of the features that the previous entry had, it's still a fun and enjoyable game. And with EA and Maxis patching the game, and eventually add expansion packs, it'll be even better! If you don't like it, just don't play it, it's that simple!

Mar 28, 2015This is the new entry to the Sims whether you like it or not. It is not as good as The Sims 3 but it is what we have. So stop complaining and get a life.

Mar 14, 2015This game is okay. I mean, yes the new features in build mode and create a sim are highly helpful, but it's extremely lacking. No basements? A 3-floor limit? NO OPEN WORLDS!?!?!? No toddlers? Limited interaction with babies? No create-a-style? This game was very rushed and definitely needs some major improvements if the creators want the series to live on.

Feb 21, 2015Let me just say I don't like it at all. I have tried to like it too, but I just don't like it at all. Why could they not expound on the good features of 3 instead of recreating the wheel? Building is easier, but not worth the money for an entire game. I don't like more about 4 than I hated about 3. So it's back to TS3 for me.

Jul 23, 2020While an enjoyable title that has been polished up and seems generally very modern, it cannot be expected that The Sims 4 is not going to be compared to The Sims 3. In this respect, it seems that while the game took a few steps forwards, it also took a few steps backwards by abandoning features that were very helpful and appreciated in the previous versions. It does have new features that people have been waiting for, such as emotions and more personality for the Sims. As for now, for some players it may not quite be worth to abandon The Sims 3 for it, but for new players looking for a first experience with the franchise, they may have an easier time navigating than former The Sims 3 players. People that have previously enjoyed the latter may be disappointed by the menus (Sim creation, building, or navigating town), as they have been so massively oversimplified that they are now actually confusing.

CD-ActionOct 24, 2014The Sims 4 is just a foundation of a game. How would you react if you bought a new Elder Scrolls game and realized that half of the cities are unavailable (because TES6: World Adventures is around the corner), there are only 4 weapons (TES6: Accessories), you can’t ride horses (TES6: Pets), there are only 12 quests (TES6: Careers), 2 guilds (TES6: Friends) and 3 spells (TES6: Supernatural)?
