The Last of Us Part I is a unique quality game, worth trying on your PC. If the technical issues that have been reported are resolved, then this is a must-have.

The Last of Us Part I is a masterpiece of gameplay with a story worthy of Hollywood. Definitely the best transposition of Joel and Ellie's adventures, with some technical inconveniences on day one that are being quickly resolved.

The Last of Us Part I could have launched cleaner, to be sure. But my personal experience with the game was far better than some of what I’m seeing reported online. I was experiencing a stellar game for the first time, and it behaved itself for me well enough that I had a great time. If you are worried about your PC handling TLOU, give it a bit of time for the technical issues to be resolved, but rest assured that the game that everyone loves is intact.

The Last of Us Part I is not the most optimized and stable PC port of all time, but it still managed to impress us with its impeccable visuals, a vast array of accessibility features, and a legendary story that nobody has managed to surpass in 10 years after its original release.

The elaborate remaster ensures that The Last of Us loses almost none of its original magic even ten years later.

The Last of Us Part 1 is the excellent remake of an excellent game, and you must play it if you haven't already done so. However, the PC port developed by Iron Galaxy suffers from too many problems related to bad optimization.

Yes, The Last of Us Part I for the PC has somewhat improved a little under two months in. Graphical stutters, framedrops, and other visual artifacts currently exist. If you’re able to look past those graphical shortcomings, The Last of Us Part I is a truly exceptional game. Consider waiting just a bit more before jumping into one of the best series from Sony and Naughty Dog to date.

The Last of Us is a masterpiece, but this PC adaptation is not good enough.

In its current state, The Last of Us on PC should only be played by those who do not have access to a PlayStation 5 or can brute force the game with capable hardware.

Realistically, patches that are coming for the game may continue to make The Last of Us on PC even better. If the patches can improve the playability then the port will become akin to its console predecessors and contemporaries. However, for now, the crashes, visual bugs, texture glitches, and stuttering is not something that can be ignored. Until then, if you’re a first-time The Last of Us player and you’re looking for a seamless and non-buggy experience on PC, it may be better to wait for patches to truly get the best out of this incredible story and game.

It’s nice to be able to experience Joel and Ellie’s story on the PC. But it’s not the best way to go about things and a game as brilliant as this deserved better from its port. The crown jewel of three generations of PlayStation should’ve arrived in a much better state.

The most prominent emotion I felt during my playthrough was exhaustion – both physically and mentally. For a studio that has won multiple awards for its dedication to disabled players, it’s almost ironic that a key setting like customizing controls feels unfinished. Now that I finally have the game on a system I can use, it’s comical that my biggest obstacle is still the control scheme.

The Last of Us Part I on PC is still suffering from issues, and while most have been put to bed, it's still worth waiting a little longer.

What a waste of a good game by Naughty Dog and Iron Galaxy. What should have been a celebration of one of the best games of all times coming to PC, turned into a disappointment after getting a mediocre PC port. Play the PS5 version.

It is, without a doubt, the crown jewel of Naughty Dog’s catalog, but for now, I’d hold off for a bit if you’re thinking about picking it up on PC. Fantastic game, but maybe wait for a patch or two to smooth things over first.

The Last of Us is truly one of gaming's best, but the PC port is not the ideal way to experience it. Eventually, The Last of Us Part 1 on PC will be in a state where it lives up to or even exceeds its PlayStation 5 counterpart, but right now it's difficult to recommend. Buried beneath the poor performance is still one of the best games ever made, though, so PC gamers who don't mind playing with Medium graphics may still be able to enjoy the incredible story and gameplay if they absolutely can't wait for everything to be fixed.

The remake of one of the most iconic games of all time finally got its PC version. Unfortunately, it is plagued with bugs and glitches, and the optimization is extremely poor. If you are not in a rush, wait for a more substantial update that will hopefully solve most of these problems. In the meantime, give it a try on the PlayStation 5 if you have the chance.

As things stand right now, you should stay away from The Last of US on PC, for your sanity and your PC’s health. Hopefully, a mega patch will fix all the issues but the current version of the game is far inferior compared to even the PS4 version.
  20. One of the most successful games in gaming history turned into a failed PC port full of optimization issues. Until the issues are fixed, it's hard to recommend it except for very high systems.

It's a shame that a Last Of Us review has to carry such a low score. It feels like slamming Citizen Kane because its Blu-Ray features aren't up to standard, such is the game's stellar reputation. But the state of the PC version isn't just disappointing or annoying—at the time of writing it's actually a real barrier preventing you from playing the experience properly. There's an all-timer laying dormant behind all the issues, but at present on PC, this one just doesn't click.

The Last of Us Part 1’s PC debut has been hampered by an incredibly bad job done on the port. Aside from low frame rates, the game also suffers from random crashes, and the initial shader caching takes long enough to be an active mark against the game.

The Last of Us Part 1 on PC is, in its current state, an awful port of one of the best games of all time. It’s plagued with problems across all facets of gameplay and needs a lot of love to iron out the very clear issues. It’s hard to recommend to anyone right now.

If you are one of those gamers who have been waiting and waiting and waiting to experience this unanimously acclaimed masterpiece for your PC, you should of course absolutely wait, or refrain from this completely.

This should have been a victory lap for the PC iteration of The Last of Us: Part I. From the gameplay to the characters to the story, this is one of the highlights of the past few gaming generations. The appearance on the PC should've given the game even more room to show off things like higher-quality textures and reflections along with Sony's now-standard ultrawide support. Yet the game's ability to only work with reduced risk after waiting for an abnormally long time for shader caching mars the release. The game crashes, frequent pauses in gameplay and other nonsensical bugs put into question the decision to release this despite the obvious issues. There's a chance that this will recover via patches and the game can bounce back. For now, it is sad to see that one of Sony's best games has received one of the worst PC ports thus far.

While The Last of Us Part I is arguably the game’s best version, its PC port is incredibly sub par and currently needs a lot of fixing.

Was it worth the 10-year wait? Well, the game itself was, because it is still good, but the port is straight up awful, which is kinda funny, because it was made by the same studio that developed the infamously terrible PC version of Batman: Arkham Knight. There are moments when the graphics are impressive, but optimization is horrible and the game will surprise you with crashes more often than it will with story twists.

It's one of the best adventures of the last decade, but the PC port is a disaster in terms of optimization, performance, and bugs that don't live up to the franchise.
  30. 40
The game is as compelling as ever, and this is an interesting opportunity to compare it with the TV show, but at launch this is one of the worst PC ports from any major publisher in a long while.
  31. 20
Sony has impressed with their recent PC ports, but something has gone awry with 'The Last of Us Part 1'. This is of the most highly regarded franchises in gaming, but this port is a buggy mess that crashes constantly and requires hours of set-up before playing. Avoid until major patches arrive, and even then, you should remain skeptical.

This game is still an absolute huge steaming pile of garbage. The greedy developers are charging $60 for this poorly optimized re-remaster. IThis game is still an absolute huge steaming pile of garbage. The greedy developers are charging $60 for this poorly optimized re-remaster. I didn't know Naughty Dog still make Crash games, because that's basically what this joke of a game is. It's just crash after crash. This broken piece of garbage is full of screen tearing and FPS drops. I don't even want to hear how this is Iron Galaxy's fault. If Naughty Dog hadn't been so cheap and lazy to do the port themselves, then there would be no reason to outsource this game to those garbage developers in the first place. I have made the decision to refund this garbage. Naughty Dog never fails to amaze me on how greedy and lazy they are.

To make matters worse, this doesn't even have the multiplayer. Lazy developers only had to work on half of the game and they still couldn't get the job done. Ever since Bruce Straley left Naughty Dog, these lazy and greedy developers have not released any multiplayer, let alone a new game that's actually finished. TLOU2 doesn't count as it's still an unfinished game. It's been almost 3 years and I still haven't gotten multiplayer for TLOU2. Not even Capcom took that long to give me RE8 online, and that game came after TLOU2. That's embarrassing. At this rate, RE4 remake will have online before TLOU2. Seeing how ridiculously long Naughty Dog is taking with Factions 2, I will have high expectations for TLOU2 multiplayer. You better not disappoint me Naughty Dog. I don't recommend this cash grab garbage game at all.
