Works much better than the controls for Fallout 4 VR. As you would expect it's standard Skyrim and is done rather well. The only real flaws are those that crop up in all VR games. Not worth £40 for sure but on a sale for half price, yeah pick it up well worth it.

Amazing. Mod it. At the very least - texture mods and weather mod. Looks unbelievable in VR, like you're actually there. Not a big fan of the motion controls but you don't have to use them, can use a gamepad (PS4, XBox, etc.)

when I first picked this game up I was skeptical. Skyrim was always a fine game to begin with and still stands as one of the best RPG's ever made but VR is completely different. The feeling of wandering the vast fantasy realm of Skyrim gives the player a feeling of true grandear as you chop steal or blast your way through enemy that are way scarier in VR where the size is now proportionate. I myself chose a magic user as my character and have a great time imitating Palpatine as I shock and manipulate the intake enemies with spells that feel incredible to use. Overall this game has a lot going for it but it isn't flawless as you will get nauseous playing it for to long and of coarse it has glitches (its a Bethesda game so its more funny that anything when the characters don't work right). I give this VR experience a 9/10 for how amazing and fun it is to experience this timeless game in a truly interesting new way. Expand

This game is probably the worst game ever that I have given a score of 10/10.
There is so much to hate...
But if you ignore **** parts (melee combat) and install some (about 30) mods...
This is one of the greatest experiences in gaming ever.

I look forward to one day playing a game as good as mass effect or Witcher 3 in VR but until that day comes, this is great enough!

Skyrim VR is an amazing, immersive experience. It's unfortunate that it's also completely unplayable. At its core, Skyrim VR is a bad port that doesn't respect the format. The character inventory system, as well as the keyboard controls, do not map well at all to VR. Trying to put on a shield or find an item makes me feel like I'm playing Excel VR, which I might add, might be less nauseating.

Simply stupendous. They put some effort into VR controls and it makes the experience something to behold. Yes, the game is now 7 years old and has imperfections. It's hard to describe the delight in holding up your hand and watching your character blast fire into a rapidly approaching Draugr's face. Must own VR game!

Skyrim VR on PC is probably the best game ever made. I say that in all seriousness. The original game was probably in my top 10 but the VR version takes you into another world like no game has ever done before. Yes the melee mechanics are a bit weak, the bow should default to realistic mode (set it in the options don't even think about not doing so) and the game still has it's plethora of bugs, glitches and goofy looking NPCs (Mods go a long way to helping here though). But none of that really matters, wading through menus to manage your inventory doesn't matter, touching a pad with your thumb to move around doesn't matter. When you're playing Skyrim VR you are transported into another world, a living breathing, vibrant, beautiful world full of adventure. Dungeons and Dragons in a world you can actually be in. It doesn't come better than this... yet, the future is very bright indeed though. :D Expand

For those who tried the PSVR version, you'll find with this one, a totally different experience. I'm playing with the rift and the controls feels great compare to the PSVR!! The game look amazing with my 1070 gtx . The immersion is also good . Hope we will soon be able to add mods. I've been playing Skyrim for a long time on my pc and still want to play A-L-O-T with VR version. I remember playing Skyrim long time ago. I have a memory of wandering through rocks on a mountain peak while wolf howled on a moon. This stuck with me, as thats what Skyrim was about and no game had the same atmosphere ever since.
Until Skyrim VR, i had tried to come back to Skyrim few times already, but with no luck. It just didnt have the same appeal. But in VR it almost feels like

Yes, it is same old story with dated graphics and all the limitations the port of a game to VR will have, but today, i stood in front of Dragon Reach in White run and watched night's sky under its wooden pillars. I was there.

4 hours in and the world of Skyrim is alive and immersive in VR. This has renewed my interest in my VR. This is how Skyrim was meant to be played.

Bethesda did nothing for made this game at least playable.
You should say thank you again to the all mod creators - because they are save this product and put much more effort than you! Shame to you Bethesda

This game is a literal one to one port of the Special Edition to VR including many bugs and missing VR features that all is mostly ironed out and fixed with spending time installing many mods (Special Edition mods work on VR). Not worth full price but if you love Skyrim, this wouldn't disappoint you very much.

One of the best VR experiences once you mod it, which honestly shouldn't be expected to enjoy a game but that's typical of Bethesda games I guess.

Skyrim VR on PC is a much better version than Skyrim VR on PSVR, thanks to its controls and mods. This is a real no-brainer for every VR enthusiasts, even though it may have required some more polishing.

With great performance, unofficial mod support, all the DLC, and pretty good controls, The Elder Scrolls V : Skyrim VR is a great buy for VR headset owners. Even if you’ve played hundreds of hours in the pancake version of the game, I think you’ll really enjoy being immersed in the world of Skyrim. It truly is a brand new experience and it along with Fallout 4 are now two of my favorite VR games to play.

Skyrim VR is an excellent RPG that obviously directly plants down all of the amazing work developing it. Of course, even in VR there are an abundance of user-created mods to enhance the experience. With that said, judging it purely as a virtual reality title, the limitations of trying to deliver a grand RPG of this size crop up a little more clearly than otherwise would be the case.
