    A few hours in and an original idea has yet to present itself. Cliche, trite, and unoriginal.

    If you enjoy bad horror movies on netflix, you might enjoy this one.

    For hardcore/horror gamers.. don't. Awful jumpscares, extremely annoying characters and absolutely absurd writing for the dialogues. The game is 4 hours long and feels like 2 of those should be scraped off, bad pacing, bad story. It's just decent graphics and thats it.

    This game I am gonna say straight off the bat is plain trash. Let me make something clear first I like these types of games a    TL;DR: Trash game, not one bit worth the price. Has only 3-4 hours of playtime at best. Do not play this but another game like control for the same price which is actually great! This game has no horror neither atmospheric nor jumpscares.     This game I am gonna say straight off the bat is plain trash. Let me make something clear first I like these types of games a lot I mean the choice based games, visual novels and stuff. They are like my 10th favorite genre in gaming, This game is like not good at all it has trash story with no suspense. They say that this game is horror trust me there is not a single jumpscare and not a single moment where you'll feel scared! This game is nothing but a **** cash grab to state the very least. The characters are plain **** and are not interesting the relationship bar like the one in until dawn is trash here you make one choice and it is good for the rest of the game. It is a trash experience I'm giving it a 1/10 I gave 1 because the visuals are decent. Stay away from this game DO NOT BUY. WASTE OF MONEY.    … Expand

    Despite completely original story, Man of Medan feels more like an Until Dawn expansion pack than game of its own. It also is noticeably shorter and less varied, although still fun to play. [Issue#240, p.32]

    Man of Medan is the first entry in what should be a series of horror games based on urban legends in the Dark Pictures Anthology. It combines all the classic elements from choice and consequence adventures and puts them into an uneasy environment, where nobody of the main characters is safe. It has flaws in the terms of camera and exploration features, but it can be a very solid beginning to something new in the horror gaming genre.

    While predictably light on actual gameplay, Supermassive’s kick-off to their Dark Pictures Anthology is a welcome return to form that ticks all the right boxes for a scarily good time. Whether alone or with friends, raise the sails and weigh anchor aboard Man of Medan’s ghost ship if you dare.
