Aug 28, 2019The Dark Pictures Anthology: Man of Medan is a must-play for anyone that appreciates horror gaming at its finest, for anyone that enjoys picking away at how a game is put together, for anyone that's got even a passing interest in finding the best storytelling vidoegames have to offer.
-
Aug 28, 2019Man of Medan is one of those near must play titles, and I can’t wait for the next instalment in The Dark Pictures Anthology.
-
Aug 28, 2019Supermassive Games delivers a compelling and intriguing horror-thriller adventure, with a great atmosphere and plenty of story branches based on player choices. We would have loved more tools to enable branches exploration, like a choices map or the ability to skip already seen cut-scenes, but it's definitely a great start for this new anthology games series.
-
Aug 28, 2019Man of Medan isn’t the success that Until Dawn was, and it represents a big step back in terms of player interaction and storytelling, but it’s still a thrilling horror experience that made me scream, laugh, and want to jump right back in for a second or third playthrough to see if I could keep everyone alive.
-
Sep 3, 2019The Dark Pictures: Man of Medan keeps alive the "interactive horror movie" proposal that gave Supermassive Games such good results with Until Dawn. However, this new adventure falls short in every sense, but mainly the narrative.
-
LEVEL (Czech Republic)Feb 28, 2020Visually a great "slasher" horror with an incredibly branched story. Shame it has cheap jumpscares, short play time and stiff controls with frequent QTE moments. If you use horrors to relax, this game is for you. [Issue#298]
-
Aug 28, 2019Failing to deliver as an effective horror story, Man of Medan is interminably slow to get started, and when it does, the narrative and performances prove more laughable than scary. The best kind of horror is the stuff that really gets under your skin, but sadly, this barely even pricks it. A soggy first chapter in The Dark Pictures Anthology, Man of Medan is best left on the seabed to rust.

Jan 17, 2022The game looks very nice on series X. The ending is maybe a little crap but I don't want to give any spoilers. Also it's a short game.
