Aug 7, 2020It's a really interesting and unique game with a rich and varied gameplay mechanics. It contains an intriguing detective side and a subtle psychology. Your choices really matter. The ending of the game could have been better, but it didn't spoil my entire impression of it. Strongly recommend.

May 25, 2021Despite the story turning into a bit of a chaotic mess in the middle, the overall story, lore, dialog and especially the unusual style of villain are still very good.
It's not an illusion of choice game either. You can get a fair amount of different outcomes and endings. -

Jul 16, 2021Unfortunately the voice-acting and writing/dialogue is sub-par. They have used an obvious American to play the French Lead actor and the whole thing is has some EXCELLENT Choice and Consequence and overall a good playing experience.

May 19, 2018It's simple, i am just finished ep 2 and definitively for me "It's THE GAME OF YEAR". It's better than "life is strange" and all "telltale games". A perfect mixt between adventure point and click games and RPG. BRAVO

CD-ActionDec 11, 2019Big Bad Wolf did what Telltale Games’ works promised but could never deliver. A true revelation in the world of non-linear adventure games. [03/2019, p.66]

Mar 5, 2019The Council started with a big bang but ended with a huge sigh of disappointment. It has a great level of details to represent the world at the end of XVIII century, it has some nice changes to the stagnant genre of "choices matter adventures", but the story and storytelling are not up to par with them. Also, world feels unresponsive, the pacing feels inadequate and in short, it could have been a great game, but it failed on the most important things.

Jan 25, 2019Although the idea of blending role-playing elements with traditional adventure gaming sounds intriguing, The Council doesn’t do anything particularly interesting with either of them after a very strong introductory episode.
