Mar 4, 2021Like the original, I'm going to be returning to it every time I get the itch to climb something.

Mar 4, 2021From the outside looking it, The Climb 2 feels very much like the first, with its gamified freeclimbing and leaderboard-centric gameplay. But just under the surface is a newer, bolder game that goes in a few unexpected directions. New environments host fun gadgets like ziplines and moving platforms, and plenty of choice when it comes to self-imposed difficulty. Level design is spot on, although visuals could be better optimized for a more immersive experience.

Mar 4, 2021The Climb 2 is held back visually by its target platform, but it more than makes up for it with some thrilling climbs, incredible vistas, and excellent new game mechanics to really help keep you grounded. I don’t have a fear of heights or anything like that, but I absolutely did feel my stomach fall in fear when peeking out over the ledge a few times. It may not be as pretty as it could be with some poor texture quality here and there, but my arms are sore and I had a blast so it’s hard to say that affected my experience all that much overall.

Oct 18, 2021It’s decent exercise, and a great experience for those who can’t visit the mountain range for a climb. Cheaper than all of that mountaineering equipment, too.

Mar 4, 2021Reaching the top, feeling some cramps in the arms, feeling the sweat flowing on the forehead and admiring the distant horizon after beating one's own record is a feeling of satisfaction that is worth experiencing.
-
Apr 10, 2021Motivating and visually appealing motion controlled climbing adventure with very little improvement compared to its predecessor.
-
Mar 4, 2021Five years after the critically acclaimed The Climb, it's finally time to go back on a rock-climbing game. Exclusive to Oculus Quest, The Climb 2 doesn't try to get to new heights as it offers only one new environment and it feels like it's kind of limited technically speaking. Still very enjoyable if you didn't play the first one.
