    Tempest 4000 is a fantastic conclusion to Llamasoft’s work on the games and easily holds its place amidst the classics of Atari’s flagship arcade series.

    Jeff Minter has been able to renew the classic Tempest formula, which becomes an excellent game even after 38 years. Unfortunately, the PC version has some small but annoying technical problems.

    only played original jag version & this gives a similar feel - in the zone shooter - crap flying all over the screen, pumping tunes. controlonly played original jag version & this gives a similar feel - in the zone shooter - crap flying all over the screen, pumping tunes. control is different on the analog stick & seems loose/floaty at first - requires some learned skill in higher levels. Just the '2000' game - doesn't have the other jag game modes. bought it for the occasional disorienting trippy effect the original did to my brain. it does that so i'm happy.… Full Review »
