only played original jag version & this gives a similar feel - in the zone shooter - crap flying all over the screen, pumping tunes. control is different on the analog stick & seems loose/floaty at first - requires some learned skill in higher levels. Just the '2000' game - doesn't have the other jag game modes. bought it for the occasional disorienting trippy effect the original didonly played original jag version & this gives a similar feel - in the zone shooter - crap flying all over the screen, pumping tunes. control is different on the analog stick & seems loose/floaty at first - requires some learned skill in higher levels. Tempest means storm, the name says it all: if you venture in, you'll experience a unique adventure or you will be blown away by the wind.

Jeff Minter has been able to renew the classic Tempest formula, which becomes an excellent game even after 38 years. Unfortunately, the PC version has some small but annoying technical problems.

Despite porting it over to the newer operational systems, I don’t feel that there was enough of a difference from previous versions to warrant a release at this price point.
