My first involvement with a MMOFPS game and it is great. I like the way that the characters are not 'trying to be as human as possible' but more like playing a cartoon.

Excellent game, fantastic graphics, funny gameplay, and cheap in performance :D. Although all the Orange Box games are all excellent, I think it's the best one.

This game is damn flawless. The only issue I've had is bad FPS, but that's because of my shitty computer. Anyone complaining about crashing just needs to upgrade. Tons of fun no matter what class you're using, tons of fun no matter how you're doing. A fresh, and less serious version of FPS multiplayer games. What makes TF2 so unique, is that every class is very fun, while still extremely balanced. There's no classes that nobody likes to be, or are useless to the game.

It's also very fun, because you can play the game as seriously as you want to. It can be a game to just kick back, have some fun, or it can be a game played

The taunts are all funny, but my favorite is the Demoman's taunts.

The graphics, sound, and gameplay are all unique and top notch, and the game itself is very polished, and frequently updated using Steam which makes updating a breeze. Overall, this game is just great, and you will not be disappointed by it.

One of the best games ever. Ppl know the amoun of time put into this game. It's not meant to be the best graphics with extra games and features it was an addon to HL2 for what this game was meant to be its a definant 10/10.

Great game, tons of fun! I have never gotten frustrated at this game! No graphics problems, runs very smooth. Only downside is the learning curve, with all the uniqe classes, if I didn't have a friend explain to me what every class does and such I would have taken much longer to learn what is what. This game probably needs a tutorial for each class. after that though it is perfect!

TF2 combines gorgeous visuals, fast and furious gameplay and comedy. The game is an example for other developers showing that when time and care is taken in the details it produces a wonderful product.

The developers at steam took a game from so long ago and turned it into one of the most artistic and strategic games I have ever played. 11 years of development through hundreds of hours of playtests lead to the creation of this totally revamped game. The view is simple; incorporate the character class directly with the personality of the individual which in turn balances the fluency of the gameplay. Removing grenades and limiting classes to 3 types of weapons and furthermore limiting the class to using only that weapon/ability decreases the chances of getting kills outside what the class is designed to do, sounds restricting but its genius compared to other games where the class weapon dominates more then the class itself in a greater range of domination then the class was designed to give, allowing the power to dominate undisputed to every other class rather then keeping it within its range of power and ability. In simpler forms, a very balanced type gameplay. Overall, best game I've played, totally worth more then the asking price. Expand

TF2 is just genius. I can't stand Counter-Strike, but this is completely different. The class-based gameplay makes it for a lot of variety and teamwork - it's almost 9 games in one. The game, for example, completely changes from a typical FPS experience with the Soldier to a stealth game with the spy to a strategy game with the Engineer. Fantastic.

TF was the best multiplayer game around when it was a mod for Quake in 1996...11 Years later and almost nothing about the game has changed, and yet its still among the best.

I absolutley enjoy the game, it has excellent gameplay, very varied classes, and great potential. The only thing that keeps me from giving a ten is the lack of Standard maps, but i hope these will be replaced by decent, balanced custom maps.

Game crashes all the time with looping sound. My experience is reverberated hundreds of times on message boards. Valve continues to produce buggy software year after year. Maybe they should win an award for that. Why game reviewers ignore these bugs is beyond me. Makes me think the reports are biased.

In my opinnion this game is balaced, has different gameplayes Capture the Flag, Domination, and Defence, to nearelly andbody's need, well the only thing that i would like to see further in Tf2 Would be a Female character, it would make gaming more fun. Already one of my favorite games of all time. I've played it for maybe 50 hours and I am still hooked. The main pull of the game is the variety. Most FPS games seem 'same-y' to me because they come down to sniping, machine gun/mid-range combat, grenades, and maybe some melee. To me, the distinctness of each of the classes in TF2 elevates it above even the best shooters. Already one of my favorite games of all time. I've played it for maybe 50 hours and I am still hooked. TF2 re-defines fun in multiplayer gaming. This is by far the most balanced class based multiplayer FPS I've ever played, and it's suitable to so many different players. TF2 can be as serious as you want it to be, or you can start it up, and just have fun without worrying about statistics, or anything else, and it's pretty much guaranteed fun.

The marriage of highly stylised retro-spy presentation, fresh, high octane action, deep and varied classes and the underlying twinkle of humour in its metaphorical eye make Team Fortress 2 far more than just your average fragfest. Long after the novelty of the graphics wears thin, we are left with a refined and accessible multiplayer game that simultaneously cultivates new players whilst retaining enough depth to accommodate even the hardiest of veterans.
  2. The game also does a lovely job of framing your relationship with other players and nurturing them.
  3. It's one hell of a game. With its powerful artistic style and blazingly quick, yet accessible gameplay, it's enough to melt the icy cynicism imprisoning the hearts of even the most jaded among us. That being said, it's not the most complex shooter out there.
