AnonymousMCMay 6, 2008My experience is reverberated hundreds of times on message boards. Valve continues to produce buggy software year after year. Maybe they should win an award for that. Why game reviewers ignore these bugs is beyond me. Makes me think the reports are biased." 1. Get a better video card and more RAM. I

AnonymousMCMay 5, 2008The first word in the name of the game is "TEAM" and that's what it's all about. It's what makes this game great. It's the only game where I can lose a round and still feel great because my team worked together. Those that play for self achievements usually play for the losing teams. Those that know their role and importance to the team usually make their team victorious.

AnonymousMCMay 5, 2008it is a great multiplayer game that is up there with games like the halo series. My one complaint is that the spy needs to be toned down, they can just kill u pretty much at random. But this small bug doesn't keep me from giving it a 10

AnonymousMCMay 4, 2008Great game till the achievement update came out. Its is a Medic-fest now, and the way Valve does the updates basing them on 6 month releases Per class. It has ruined this game to almost to a point of mmo status. grinding to 1m heal points and getting 20 kills while healing a heavy. I am afraid of what the next batch will be IF it gets released before the game totally dies out.

AnonymousMCMar 23, 2008Although it's probably the best Arena FPS there is, I feel TF2 has something missing from it. After an hour or two of playing it begins to feel awfully hollow. Had it included more environment destructibility and quite a few more maps, TF2 would be a must have for any serious FPS player.
-
-
AnonymousMCMar 23, 2008Extremely newb-friendly. Gets linearly deeper with every hour played, as you gain your skill. The variety in gameplay (classes, tactics, map knowledge, human factor) always keeps things interesting. And OH!... the graphics are absolutely amazing!
Perfect online-shooter, thank you VALVE!!! Words just aren't enough to describe how incredible this game is. -

AnonymousMCMar 10, 2008An awesome game, the best "team" game I've ever played. Having no single player mode means that comparing it to other FPS just isn't possible. However since playing this I now find the single player FPS games dull, linear and lacking any subtlety. TFT

AnonymousMCMar 9, 2008A unique FPS that stands above the rest! Innovative gameplay, stylized graphics, nonstop action and humor, and an experience that will keep you at your computer for hours make this a must have! Bored with Counter Strike? BUY TF2! Still have fun with Counter Strike? BUY TF2! It is a fun and unique FPS experience.

AnonymousMCMar 1, 2008The game in its proposal is awesome.
However compared with other games like battlefield I didnt like the playability.
TF2 have very small scenarios and is very much fast paced.
It apears that only those who are very much good can have some fun while noobs get wasted all the time and dont have fun at all.
In BF2 I get wasted all the time but at least I make some score and I have a lot more fun. -

CraigFeb 16, 2008The best class based FPS to date. TF2 is going to set the benchmark for all future FPS games in terms of originality, style, replayability, fun. its a great game as it is also simple.

Tobias>Feb 14, 2008Funniest game in its genre.... I´ve played every game in this category since doom.... and I have never had so much fun. First time, I laughed myself of the chair.

JakeH.Feb 13, 2008AMAZING! This game is absolutely perfect. Balance is great, encourages teamwork. Excellent maps in balance, character, and uniqueness. I would recommend this game to ANYONE who enjoys shooters.
-
-
KennyP.Feb 12, 2008My favorite multiplayer game so far. The class and map variation add a lot to the replayablilty. Although I find it slightly unbalanced. It's impossible to create a perfect game, but this is going to played a very long time.

-
JamesD.Feb 11, 2008At first I didn't think I would like it due to the style of its graphics but it proved itself with the game play with teamwork with medics and heavy's or going solo as a spy. The graphics work with the style of game it is with a wide variety of activities to do so you'll never get board.

-
DougT.Feb 6, 2008The best (only) online multiplayer game amazing graphics, easy to play and very social. Many people do not like this because there is no team deathmatch but if there was it would be cheap. Good job valve- (I reccomend getting this with the Orange Box because it is amazing and worth the 30$ but a lot better with all the HL 2s and Portal. Awesome game for the awesome gamer.
-
-
PeterFeb 1, 2008I've never been a big FPS fan, scratch that, I never was a big FPS fan until this came out. I really only bought the Orange Box for HL2, but I have only played it for TF2. The visual styling is great, varying character classes and point of entry is perfect for anyone, l33t or n00b. Game of the Year, from me, by far.

AnonymousMCJan 30, 2008I like the game so much because it's great, the updates the game gets regularly are great, and the major update pack it's going to get will just be awesome. The "Meet the..." series are also fantastic.
I wish good luck to Valve with their new game, and hope they'll keep up the good work. Thanks, bye! -

FakE.Jan 25, 2008I have played quite a few mmorpgs, but few mmofps. When I 1st heard of the genera, I thought it wouldn't work. then I found this game, and my opinion changed dramaticaly. I love this game and now I play it all the time. You've done it once again Valve, now when will we see Half Life 2: Episode 3?

NathanR.Jan 23, 2008I've played many multiplayer shooters in the past, and in my opinion, TF2 is the best one out there. The graphics are cool, the action is crazy fun, and the challenge of matching up your skills with the rest of your team to ultimately own the other team draws me back to this game almost every night.
-
-
SpencerH.Jan 17, 2008An extremely fun game, with great visual style, that will look good no matter how real other graphics are. Different classes, plenty of servers, and a small variety of maps ensures that there will always be something to do.
-
-
MikeM.Jan 16, 2008Hands down, the best online shooter ever created. Valve has created a masterpiece and brought back what it means to have fun with your friends online!
-
-
SteveR.Jan 13, 2008GREAT game, one of the best there is anyone who says otherwise is too damn opinionated to see the game for what it is, everything is ultimately balanced and plays like a dream. The game is easy to just jump into as well as provide challenge for even the most experienced of players as the classes have huge depth and playability.

ChristofferL.Jan 9, 2008This game is just the best multiplayer game created by Valve. Poor TFC that this game is leeching the players from the older games, however, I heard that Valve would copy the mods and some maps so it is a TF with better design of everything and a two in its end. You better try it, its impossible to resist playing this game when you have get a finger in the game. All red coloured comments lies.

AnonymousMCJan 4, 2008played this on pc and 360. horrible game play with little depth and i dont know how you call it balanced. i mean charging up a sniper rifle? seriously. also have to ask why valve would spend 10 years on it and make it a cartoon when they have the source engine to use. as said by Kay B. it get boring b4 you even buy it. im sorry to say but shawdow run was a better experience than this
-
-
JessicaS.Jan 4, 2008Finally an FPS game that puts as much focus on the characters as it does on the action. It's like playing through a Pixar film. If you're a fan of rich design and humorous game play TF2 is a must-have!

AnonymousMCJan 1, 2008Amazing game design and balance. This is the most fun I've had in a shooter for years. Getting rid of grenades was a god-send. I would have given TF2 a 10 if they had a few more maps. In any case Buy it and Play it before TF3 comes out...

-
SebastianI.Jan 1, 2008Team Fortress 2 is definitely the best online game I've played for quite some time. It's design is as beautiful as it is humourous, and the graphics look great yet you don't need an extremely powerful computer to handle them. The gameplay is absolutely fantastic, and you who say that you'll get bored fast couldn't possibly have played it.

HeathC.Dec 21, 2007Endless fun, includes level design tools, with new tools coming for movie making within the game engine. Never gets boring, the animation, character development, and class variety combined with the ability to make new maps is just what the medic ordered!

AlexanderF.Dec 19, 2007Team Fortress II is a very innovative and well balanced game. The classes are well designed and the Paper-Rock-Scissors principle works swimmingly. Thumbs up.

AnonymousMCDec 16, 2007Hands down the game of the season. So much fun. The maps are all designed to keep you dying ALOT, but there already 20 to 40 player made maps that will be classics 5 years from now.
Great game. PLAY AS THE MEDIC! Every time the guy you're healing gets a kill you get a point. I can't believe the medic is the least played character. -

MichaelC.Dec 15, 2007This is one of the best FPS's i've played in a while. Gameplay is well balanced between the classes; Art Direction makes me think "Has Valve Taken over Pixar?" in a good way; And It is so addicting thanks to the replay value.

ScottN.Dec 15, 2007Awesome game all around. Balance has been achieved here, and the class system is what allows it to happen. Team play is at its highest level of encouragement in this game. Enough said.

AnonymousMCDec 12, 2007This game if very addicting and all my friends play it. Although it gets a little more boring as time passed on but that is just due to dumb ass team-mates who sware over Mic. You will also get mad because you die alot. However you can pick your own class and just have fun its a game. Its warth it buy it aslng as you and ur team woth togeather you are sure to win =).
-
-
KayB.Dec 11, 2007Pretty to look at. Boring to play. No depth of play. Grew stale very quickly. Very overrated by both critics and players. If you are looking for a game for the weekend, rent it on your console. You'll tire of it before you need to return it.

Awards & Rankings
-
AceGamezThe marriage of highly stylised retro-spy presentation, fresh, high octane action, deep and varied classes and the underlying twinkle of humour in its metaphorical eye make Team Fortress 2 far more than just your average fragfest. Long after the novelty of the graphics wears thin, we are left with a refined and accessible multiplayer game that simultaneously cultivates new players whilst retaining enough depth to accommodate even the hardiest of veterans.
-
The game also does a lovely job of framing your relationship with other players and nurturing them.
-
It's one hell of a game. With its powerful artistic style and blazingly quick, yet accessible gameplay, it's enough to melt the icy cynicism imprisoning the hearts of even the most jaded among us. That being said, it's not the most complex shooter out there.
