Feb 28, 2019Tannenberg takes what made Verdun fun, and improves upon what made it awesome. The new environments in particular really make the potential of a WWI FPS/Simulator really stand out and stick with memorable moments that last long after a match is over. The developers proved themselves with their support of Verdun over time, which gives me reason to believe that Tannenberg is only going to get better from here.

Feb 13, 2019M2H and Blackmill Games have executed their concept so well that the most glaring criticism is that there is not more. With such good a foundation as Verdun, it would have been nice to see a greater variety of maps, or perhaps even some different objective based modes. While it should be noted that fans of run and gun in faster-paced shooters may be frustrated with the game’s more methodical pacing, Tanneberg is a satisfying tactical shooter.

Apr 30, 2019The overall experience with Tannenberg is great. Their downfall right now is low player population especially on the US servers. The saving grace is the locale can be changed and the EU server is usually loaded with players. This of course increases the response time if within the US but is barely noticeable. Another downfall is the lack of differentiation in weaponry for the class selections. It is difficult to tell which set of weapons to choose from which boils down to trial, error, and preference. It's not the end of the world but it would be nice to see stats before making a selection. Anyone remotely interested in a fresh authentic take on a World War series should give Tannenberg a chance.
-
Feb 25, 2019Tannenberg is more accessible and has a greater fun factor than you might expect from a realism-driven World War 1 shooter, thanks to a great central game mode and consistently exciting and satisfying gameplay. Though you’ll need to be on board with bolt-action rifles and accept that you are going to die a lot.

Mar 25, 2019If you're looking for a first-person shooter that is slightly different from the standard run of the mill FPS, Tannenberg is the way to go. Gameplay, the feel of the guns and map choice is all solid and makes for a great experience, but Tannenberg is held back by its lack of players and a mediocre class system.
