Game World Navigator MagazineMar 20, 2019Although it deserves recognition for its attempt to be historically faithful, for hardcore damage mechanics and good combat dynamic, Tannenberg is also a little disappointing: weapons are more or less the same, unlocks lack impact, and class division is basically pointless. [Issue#236, p.38]

Mar 12, 2019Like Verdun, also Tannenberg is a good historical FPS set during the WW1, but there is already a lack of players.
-
Mar 11, 2019An intense and authentic World War 1 shooter with emphasis on caution, tactics and team coordination. Unfortunately, it’s never going to win any beauty contests, and then there’s the real elephant in the room - sparsely populated servers.
-
Feb 22, 2019Calling Tannenberg a historical online FPS would mean trying to categorize it by genre, but as an experience, it belongs to that category of games that will never see the same success as the giants in the industry, but for the select few that love the historical accuracy and setting, it will become the go-to FPS. With a few patches here and there and maybe a better advertisement campaign, the game may even manage to fill up with enough players as to no longer need the bot auto-fill system.
-
Feb 21, 2019Tannenberg is a good FPS in general that has things to say in World War 1's not so busy market, and it can even satisfy fans of realistic shooters too. However, some technical and design issues prevent the game from reaching its full potential.
-
Mar 25, 2019Tannenberg is a good WWI FPS online, but actually there aren't enough players on the servers.
-
Feb 19, 2019Tannenberg shows a good balance between historic realism and gameplay fun, but it feels a bit too light. The multiplayer shooter does not really innovate and its visuals are not amazing either.
-
Feb 22, 2019Tannenberg is by no means a bad game. That being said, I can't recommend it for the sheer fact that the player count is far too low. The audience for this game is split with Verdun, its predecessor, and there simply isn't enough here to make playing it the clear choice.
-
Apr 20, 2019Why would someone in their right mind spend time and money on exploring Tannenberg? If you want to play a first-person shooter about WWI, just pick up Battlefield 1 with the season pass.
-
Feb 13, 2019Tannenberg has authenticity in spades. Sadly, middling animations, unreliable AI, and uninspiring combat sully what could've been a remarkable experience.

May 26, 2022Sequel to the brilliant Verdun, still fast and fun gameplay in a realistic setting!
-
Jul 17, 2020Very good game. This game is the only one which includes factions like Bulgarians, Rumäniens, Latvians.
-
Jul 9, 2019A game with big potential. Very innovative game in Eastern front. It's more funny with friends.
