The ending is controversial, because ppl think you'll get more stuff if you go through the painful hour (maybe) of wandering through an ASCII landscape, followed by another 8 hr real time wait to "restore your files". You barely get anything new. A few hard levels, and the "PURE" core which is a vanilla game mode to try on those really hard levels.

I think there's a joke in the 8 hr wait (now 2.5 hrs), that they want you to use a cheat tool to hack the "hacking" game you've been playing. Some ppl feel weird about doing that.

Also, the un-killable mini-bosses are supposed to be an obstacle. I'm not sure how that's confusing to anyone. After you get the power to deflect all bullets at lightning speed and hotswap multiple times, how would you like the game to get harder?

Superhot: Mind Control Delete improves the original game with even more challenging levels, new weapons and fun. Getting this game for free, is a true gift for all of the fans of the original game, and a hell of a new entry in the franchise.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. So overall I would give this game a 7.5 / 10

It was a great game overall and added a lot to the SUPERHOT experience.
I got it for free since I owned the original SUPERHOT on Steam so that was nice.

Btw Spoiler Alert so if you don't want the game to be spoiled stop reading.

My problems was mainly with the ending and the price. Even though I got it for free, I think $25.00 is a bit overpriced for how short the game is. Also the ending was not that good. At one point you have to wait 2.5 (or 8) hours to "Recover Data" that you deleted when you gave up your cores and hacks. After that, there was not many more exciting things after that. You just get to replay the game again and you have the "Pure.core" which gives you no hacks or cores or anything like that.

I would still replay this game in the future because it was still a very fun game.

I would still recommend this game to anyone but maybe if you don't want to spend $25 then wait for it to be on sale.

Really great game that you should probably check out soon. Some people criticize the whole randomly generated aspect of the game but I think it works really well and tests your ability and skill. Only issue I have is with me, not the game because it can be infuriating sometimes. Please play this.

P.S: The game tricks you at the beginning with some fake “The End” screens. Some people have

SUPERHOT: MIND CONTROL DELETE is a standalone expansion to SUPERHOT. Once again, time only progresses when you move, but there is so much more content in the form of levels, modifications and enemies. Between SUPERHOT: MCD and the original, this game is far more replayable.

Historia no tiene, ni coleccionables, ni misiones, ni desafios, nada, es un juego digno de una demo.

SUPERHOT is a weird beast. Initially, a proof-of-concept turned into a full-blown game; SUPERHOT has players running and gunning through a virtual environment where time only moves when you do. It was a huge hit, and the quirky and quite creepy story only helped catapult it’s popularity even higher.

Now the game’s sequel, SUPERHOT: MIND CONTROL DELETE, has been released and it’s more of the game. Much more. Taking place directly after the ending of the first game you’re trust into a bit of a loop before you’re greeted with more game. There’s even more flexability with a new rogue-like aspect to levels, an ASCII map to traverse, and new abilities in the form of .core and .hack files. These will either grant you with powers to use in a stage or will hack things like your healther meter, bullet count, or even how fast you can move.

Is more better? In some cases, it is. The core and hack features add a lot of impressive variety to the basics laid out in the first game. The story remains just as creepy and somewhat confusing as the first, with tidbits of information found here and there as you uncover new areas of the map. SUPERHOT is just as fun as you remember it.

My one complaint with the game is that the random levels get a bit tedious after a while. You’re always fighting in the same few level layouts over and over again. Each level is relatively small, too. It’s not a game killer, but a bit more diversity would have been excellent.

On the plus side, the procedural nature of the levels can make them a bit harder than the original. You can’t always see where enemies are spawning, and you often can get shot in the back without even knowing someone was behind you. That’s where having a few hearts worth of health comes in handy.

SUPERHOT: MIND CONTROL DELETE is so much more than it’s predecessor, and yet still a bit less in some ways. Fans of the original will be satisfied by the frantic energy and action in the game, but series newbies will be better off playing the first game.

A key for SUPERHOT: MIND CONTROL DELETE was provided free for review by the SUPERHOT Team

The game overall is cooler to play compared to it's antecessor; SUPERHOT, even it's funnier to play, the game is very repetitive and you can easily get bored if searching for something intriguing and dynamic to play, the gameplay is fantastic as always with it's classic time mechanic, I really enjoyed playing this game but it could be better...

Core Gameplay is based on a wave system. At each level the player suddenly appears in different places, and the enemies (red glass mens) comes through in waves, and player tries to clean waves with environmental objects and some guns which dropped by enemies.
The biggest aspect of the game is the slow time mechanics. Time spends really slow when player is not moving. With this game design the player has to think fast as possible to stayin alive. Game has secondary missions which rewards player with some new skills. Even, the player couldn't use all the skills at once this skills provides variety for game design.
Game visuals are basic and efficient. The art design is not realistic, it looks more like origami but the visuals are not disturbing at all. And the music's are good enough. The game has a alternate storytelling which is buried in levels, but i was not attracted by story of the game.

This is a tough but addictive installment for the third SUPERHOT follow-on. This game includes multi-level stages, a variety of new enemies, and a roguelike element that puts a fresh twist on the beloved original. Mind Control Delete is also free to those who already own SUPERHOT.

The joyous carnage of Superhot remains solid throughout Mind Control Delete, despite the fact that the road you take intentionally tries to delay and derail you. If you’ve been waiting for more of this distinct gunplay, there are at least eight hours of it here, including infinite and endless modes. VR felt like the perfect evolution of the series when it launched, but this new entry lacks an identity beyond just bringing more Superhot to the fans that crave it.

Mind Control Delete expands on the Superhot universe in every conceivable way. While there’s a lot of fun within its bigger time-manipulating shooter playground, the lofty ambitions result in a unique concept extended beyond its limits.
