    Неплохая игрушка, довольно простенькая, но интересная. Фанатам фильма крайне рекомендую.

    I played the beta and just bought the game, it's RTS and starship troopers so that's always good.
    It has some mechanics like the line of fire that make it interesting and force you think about positioning and how/when to micro the spellcasting (grenades or whatever, usually some kind of AOE). Only thing that's kinda lacking is macro, the game basebuilding is almost non-existent.

    Game does too much hand-holding and there's almost no base-building involved. The game walks you through everything so building structures is almost never up to you. I was expecting something like Starcraft with base building and tactical decision making, but so much of the game just tells you to go from point a to point b and your army design and structure placement, etc. is barely up toGame does too much hand-holding and there's almost no base-building involved. Graphics are good, but that's about the only pro of the game. I was pretty disappointed with the game overall.

    Spoke with game devs on one of the messageboards to make sure Epic online services was not included in the game and while they said presently it's not, they wouldn't rule out the possibility that it could eventually make it into the game, so this was a pretty big con for me. Ultimately I borrowed a friend's copy of the game to check it out as I would not recommend ever buying a game where the developers won't confirm / promise EOS (Epic Online Services) will stay out of the game permanently as some developers recently have been adding EOS into games retroactively, causing problems for owners of the game.

    Very fun real-time strategy in the style of Company of Heroes. It is a bit rough around the edges, and you can feel that the budget wasn't very high, but it still delivers a good experience, especially if you like the Starship Troopers franchise. The only thing that felt off was a difficulty spike in Mission 14. Until then, the game was a breeze on hard difficulty, and suddenly I had toVery fun real-time strategy in the style of Company of Heroes. The only thing that felt off was a difficulty spike in Mission 14.     A really enjoyable game for anyone also traumatised by the brain bug in the 1997 movie.

    Well, to be honest it's not "That" bad but it's rather a mixed bag of fairly good and failed elements altogether. To be fair, this game was delayed and it shows.
    For the game this is what stood out for me:
    The pathfinding is horrendous, and the responsiveness of troops is all but fine too (get over here damn it, no wa.. aahh sh*t) Oh great, there goes half of my army.. There's NO GORE..    Well, to be honest it's not "That" bad but it's rather a mixed bag of fairly good and failed elements altogether. To be fair, this game was delayed and it shows.
    For the game this is what stood out for me:

    There's NO GORE.. (nor does it have persistent bodies/corpses or destructible environments)
    The Dev defends this by saying there is, but honestly you can't see any limbs flying, heads being ripped off, innards being torn out etc. Nothing of which the movie made it so epic for me personally. Yes, of course it's perfect for 5-8 year olds but that's far below my 'current' mental status (so no, i'm not amused).
    The bugs are mindless critters that always follow the same predictable routes and can't even climb cliffs in order to flank or surprise you!! How is this even possible in 2022?!
    The combat is bland and boring.. The best troops are only available to you near the end of the game (makes kinda sense). However most of the other units are just meh, and you can't create a bond with them since they're totally expendable and don't traverse from mission to mission!! (And they don't shut up ever!! Repeating those same APE-ish lines over and over!!)
    The same goes for the 'repeating' missions.. You either defend or clear caves, and that's basically it for 15-20 hours.
    No space battles, no real sense of greater or off-worldly events, thus making you feel bored and annoyed rather quickly impo.
    There's no real base building, however you can construct some turrets here and there (don't expect much from it tho).
    The game has a fairly good story campaign, and the narration is not bad.. Although i hate it (absolutely hate) it that missions are cut short because of that!! When things get fun, it comes to an abrupt halt. Boom, mission over.. Good job!
    It mostly feels you're only playing half a game.. Where's the rest?! Credits rolling.. Okay, guess that's it!
    Graphically and musically wise it's an okay game, nothing to write much about either.
    It does the job, albeit simplified and not without the occasional glitch here and there..
    There's no point playing it more than once tbh, although the devs have revealed that more content is on the way (skirmish and whatnot)..    … Expand

    In Starship Troopers: Terran Command, The Artistocrats and Slitherine Ltd. have created a balanced, fun and highly replayable game by combining a few mechanics that we are not used to seeing in traditional real-time strategy games. The game is focused on military actions and not on collecting resources and building bases as in many    "Come on, you apes! You wanta live forever?"

    In Starship Troopers: Terran Command, The Artistocrats and Slitherine Ltd. have created a balanced, fun and highly replayable game by combining a few mechanics that we are not used to seeing in traditional real-time strategy games.

    The game is focused on military actions and not on collecting resources and building bases as in many real-time strategy games. Instead, we handle the tactical management of resources, which is good for deep gameplay and fun!

    Terran Command has a line of sight and line of fire mechanics. These are means that the height and topography of the battlefield is a tactical factors in the game.

    Although the events in the game take place after the Battle of Klendathu, the game does not take place on that planet. That's a relief; it was a horrible battle! The story, like many elements of the game, is dynamically created according to our performance in the game. This creates high replayability in the game.    … Expand

    The quality of fan service is simply breathtaking, so it’s a must for any fan of the cult classic movie. Still, as a game, Terran Command offers nothing new. Even less, in fact: there’s no multiplayer, map editor or even a skirmish mode, so once you’re done – you’re done. [Issue#260, p.54]

    A strategy equivalent of a summer blockbuster, wiped from your memory as soon as the credits start rolling. It’s not as intense as Verhoeven’s movie, not as varied or expensive as other games in this genre, a simplified Company of Heroes, if you will.
