Oct 31, 2024Despite some rough edges and a forgettabole single player component, Starship Troopers: Extermination perfectly captures the big battles of the movie in a way that will have fans coming back for a long time to come.

Oct 16, 2024Fans of Starship Troopers and PvE shootouts should definitely have Extermination in their sights. It offers successful PvE multiplayer, where the piles of dead arachnids that remain there fascinate. However, there could have been more maps and singleplayer is boring and not even Casper Van Dien can save it.

May 25, 2023Overall, Starship Troopers: Extermination has the potential to be an exceptional fusion of tower defense and FPS genres. Despite falling short in accessibility for new players, clunky controls, and the dangers of repetitive gameplay, Starship Troopers: Extermination provides the kind of immersive experience fans of the franchise can expect. It propels you into the shoes of a bug-killing specialist, allowing you to customize your loadout and abilities to become the ultimate force of nature. With additional improvements to address its shortcomings and introduce more diverse content, Starship Troopers: Extermination has the potential to deliver an even more exceptional and engaging experience for Starship Troopers enthusiasts and fans of the genre. May 30, 2023What Starship Troopers: Extermination can give is a fun and enjoyable fight with bugs, trying to somehow survive with 15 players who are trying in every possible way to kill you along with bugs, or just doing nothing at the base. But in the end the game feels smooth and leaves a pleasant aftertaste, at this point the game has a huge potential for development. I liked the time spent in the game, but the lack of content is self-evident. [Early Access Provisional Score = 85]

May 30, 2023The best adaptations feel like they exist in the world of the original, rather than trying to redo what has been done. Starship Troopers: Extermination accomplishes that. It gives you the familiar action from a new perspective. The fights herein are chaotic, seemingly-insurmountable, tactical, and satisfying. The Troopers' signature assault rifle feels as it should, the Arachnid are tough-but-not-to-tough, and building defenses feels meaningful. The biggest knock against its effort can easily be addressed as the game lives on: it is entering a crowded market without much innovation, and a relatively light plate of classes and weapons. As a package, it can be exhilarating, especially with a group of friends, big or small. [Early Access Provisional Score = 90]
