    Highly nostalgic and fantastic strategy game. Remastered graphics aren't amazing but for gameplay and mechanics, it's great.

    I appreciate the game runs smoothly with no problems now.
    And fixing some engine issues (turn rates, unit limit - although that still seems to be a problem in some custom games with lots, lots of units - some attacks like Valkyrie's don't work properly).
    It's cool the graphics are not so dated and pixelated, yet I think they could do more. Apart from that, it's still the best SC in    I appreciate the game runs smoothly with no problems now.

    This is still the good old game but with excellent graphics! If you want to time travel then this is your game! The price at the release date is 15€.... should i say more?

    What a time to be alive, Starcraft Remastered brings me back to late 90's where whe had goods RTS like we dont have today. Blizzard deserve an "A", kept the same gameplay, same environment, but starcraft 2 graphics for just 15 Euros, thats really cheap for a game with this fame (some DLCs are more expensive than that) and if you are not a English speakers (my case) you have a classic gameWhat a time to be alive, Starcraft Remastered brings me back to late 90's where whe had goods RTS like we dont have today.     The pinnacle of RTS games. The infinitely high skill ceiling helps cement this game as one of the greatest competitive games of all time, if not THE greatest. Competitive Starcraft is still played in Korea, where it's much more popular even than it's younger sibling Starcraft 2. This game isn't perfect, but I have a feeling it's as close as we'll ever get.

    King is back. Great job, Blizzard. Great job:)

    Nostalgia and travel time until 1997 when I first played the game. This is one of the remastered games where the prize is ridiculous. Only 15 euros for this? I'd also like to give 30.

    A surprisingly large amount of user reviews on here seem to be missing the point of this remaster. It isn't a remake, it is not supposed to ma the game modern or fresh. It is here to bring up all the surrounding parts, matchmaking, battle.net integration, wide screen support, etc., up to speed without changing the gameplay at all. And it does that, perfectly. The game is exactly as it was almost twenty years ago now in terms of gameplay, but it works on my new Windows 10 machine on my 16:9 monitor after starting it up from the Battle.net/Blizzard Launcher.

    For those that want to experience modern RTS, StarCraft II is better than ever. It has a vibrant online community and isn't going anywhere. This remaster is not for them. It is for those that want to experience nostalgia, or for those that want to scratch the competitive itch that only BW ever could, for those that want to see Flash/Jaedong/Bisu/Stork continue their competitive careers and the game of their choice to continue being supported.

    And for those that want both (e.g. me), both games are now on the same launcher, so that's pretty damn great.    … Expand

    This game is the best strategy game of all time. i just want to say that for me as a personal opinion is better than starcraft 2 in a lot of things. Starcraft never looked so great. i still love the units specially the protoss and his dragoons, so can play with this unit again is a blessing. Thanks blizzard for doing this.

    solid remastered edition of the old classic. most whining about it, as usual, goes from the people that for some reason hoped for a remake, which sc:r certainly is not.
    great: new portraits, voices, comic interludes, zoom feature, old school gameplay.

    If you’re a fan of Starcraft: Brood War this is the perfect remaster. The addition of a matchmaking already makes it worth the $15. But it also has customizable hotkeys now, up to 4k resolution support (and sticks with the original art style). It has tons of observer and replay improvements including the ability to rewind replays. It is the same gameplay, which is perfect, BW is a perfectIf you’re a fan of Starcraft: Brood War this is the perfect remaster. The addition of a matchmaking already makes it worth the $15. You can play on any map from the original, and most of the UMS (excluding a couple EUD maps that were security issues, you can even watch all your old replays. It lets you switch from HD to SD with the press of a button at any point. The matchmaking works well with a good MMR ranking system, with more recent netcode improvements it makes sure matches have a good latency even though it is global matchmaking (the gateway you pick does not matter for matchmaking). The only downside right now is a lack of a 2v2 ladder, but you can still play team games in customs just like you always have. This is how a classic should be remastered, sadly WC3 did not get the same treatment, hopefully they are able to fix it.… Expand

Хотя нажатием на F5 можно вернуть олдскульную графику и оценить различия.     Brought me back to 20 years ago. Stayed up all night playing it. Always loved it; and now it looks good enough to play again. The music, the atmosphere, the voice acting, the story, the tactical depth, what a game. A lot of people will probably say that it's not worth paying 15 dollars for a graphics overhaul but if you really loved the original game or if you never played it, man youBrought me back to 20 years ago.     Literally felt like entering a time machine back to 20 years ago. The gameplay is exactly the same but with matchmaking and new graphics, which is all you could ask of such a classic game. Some rough edges with the new features on the release but it will be fixed soon. Also so amazing to log in and find friends from 20y ago!

    Looks great, 2D strategy game is so much better than 3D.
    The game didn't change way too much, why change the mechanics if it was great in the first place right? graphics are now in line with the greatness of the game. buy it!

    Keeping all the original gameplay and art style intact was a must for me and I am glad that Blizzard did StarCraft justice. In my mind, players will have a preference for which game they prefer; for me personally, I adore the brutalistic challenging nature of Brood War. The story is also leaps and bounds better than SC2.     El techo de calidad y complejidad en los RTS está muy lejos de alcanzarse, desgraciadamente no se hacen juegos de este género y por eso Starcraft Brood War sigue siendo uno de los mejores juegos competitivos. Esta remasterización facilita que el Starcraft original pueda ser jugado en los modernos monitores de alta definición.

    Можно играть с друзьями по LAN. Хорошая русская озвучка, с теми же актёрами, что и в SC2. Портреты персонажей тоже хорошие. Графика изменилась, но осталась в духе первого StarCraft.     Its just perfect... This remaster took me again into Starcraft world. Original allways was one of my favourite games of all the time and this remaster keeps it and lets me enjoy it all again :)

The new classification of the game it’s very competitive but i’ve played 4 hours and i like it.     Best game in the history of mankind by far.
    Just imagine SC2 wouldn’t have any bugs it had the perfect cursor an actual enjoyable campaign and maximum balancing. Here you are.

The graphics are still based on sprites, and it now plays on Windows 7 without hacks, fixes or manipulations to launching the game to fix graphics issues.

    Overall, even if you play remastered with the new graphics turned off, the game runs better on modern computers and allows the original game to carry on another 20 years. This is a perfect execution of what a remaster should be.. fix bugs that degrade the game ONLY. Blizzard left intact exploits that allowed for some of the best maps online. That is a solid move for the community.

    -Battle.net works well (although I don't play the ladder, just with friends)
    -Graphics are good, I feel like it met my expectations of what I remember not how it actually was pixelated
    -Gameplay remains unchanged, and I get that people complain about AI pathing, but it's based on sprites, and the unique movement and play would be changed if they fixed it, so I'm happy about that.
    -Players that complain about the 12 unit selection group maximums, really small complaint when played correctly. I mean I personally have no issue swarming with the Zerg.

    If you want to step into gaming history and experience a well balanced, 3 race RTS, this is the game for you. Or if you're like me and played it in the 90s and still have a few discs laying around.. worth every penny.    … Expand

    I first played Starcraft with siblings and friends, and found the original game quite fun, but its AI/multi-player excessively difficult. Since playing games over more than a decade, I now find this game's campaign much easier, and finished it without much trouble. Great for the nostalgia, and to finally complete a campaign I got stuck halfway through as a kid.

    9/10 for an awesome game and great nostalgia, but this game admittedly may not be as enjoyable if you don't have any nostalgia or interest in the game before playing.    … Expand

    Grow up with this game so happy made it better. I will never ever get sick of this game. Online play is hard when learn how to play online it fun. Not even pro at this game. Still win some game and other games I get owned. Must buy game if you like rts games.

I have literally heard some complain that "it's only a remaster with some fresh graphics" this tells me people didnt bother to learn what they were buying. Then complained about things blizzard never said was gonna be in it. While grouping could better, it is better than the sc2 grouping that was one big deathball. Need more strategyNothing wrong here.     Ремастер легендарной игры. Подтянули спрайты, добавили официальный перевод и русскую озвучку (какой кайф). Чутка переделали портреты и модели главных героев, чтобы от второй части сильно не отличались. Ну а ностальгирующим специально завезли фичу - нажал на F5 и игра переключается на оригинал прям во время боя. пройти давно хотел, теперь могу сделать это с максимальными удобствами. Кайф.Ремастер легендарной игры. Подтянули спрайты, добавили официальный перевод и русскую озвучку (какой кайф).     in my opinion, the re-release of the game came out to glory when you can compare graphics, normal user matches.but still the game is already old in itself.it pays off its price tag in full

    StarCraft: Remastered admittedly targets to esport. While for professional players it is almost perfect, for ordinary people it is a half-baked remaster of once great game, which is not so good to play today.
