Legacy of the Void is a fitting end to the StarCraft II trilogy. It ends the story that begun with Wings of Liberty and improves upon the already incredible mission design of Wings of Liberty and Heart of the Swarm.

That alone is enough for me to consider it a worthy buy and an easy recommendation but to top all this off there are the amazingly fun Archon Mode and Co-op Missions options, which both offer new and different ways to experience StarCraft II with friends.

All of that combined with no serious drawbacks in my eyes make this one of my favorite games of the year and a product that anyone even remotely interested in RTS games should take a good look at.

Amazing as always Blizzard ;) Great campaign, interesting story, music and voices are perfect. And most important thing - Great gameplay. Masterpiece every RTS fan has to play. GG Blizzard.

I don't play much multiplayer. But the campaign from beginning to end and extremely fun and a very well written story. I am so happy I decided to purchase the third and final chapter. If only for the campaign it is well worth the cost.

OK let's just get the ugly part out of the way...if you are still playing Starcraft 2 for its story, I offer you my sincerest sympathy right now. It's worse than Wings of Liberty and Heart of the Swarm, because at least the former are so cheesy that it's funny...whereas the Protoss race is just so serious and boring throughout.

OK now for the good parts that make it the best RTS in

OK now for the good parts that make it the best RTS in existence right now.

Single-player Campaign - Best designed campaign missions. Cool campaign exclusive units and abilities. As someone who mains Zerg, the campaign's learning curve was perfect to introduce me to Protoss game mechanics.
The CG remains Blizzard quality, which means they are extremely well done and fun to watch. A total contrast to the crappy story and dialogue.

    Multi-player Versus -
1 vs 1: I gotta say it's rough coming back, the last time I played SC2 competitively was 2010/11 during WoL. It's depressing going from remotely good (reached Diamond Rank 12 of my division after 250+ 1v1s) to a straight n00b. APM dropped from 100 to like 50... but I digress. The overall changes were very positive, it encourages more action rather than the old meta of "harass each other while building a 200/200 deathball" because you are forced to aggressively expand from the start. The beginning amount of workers went from 6 to 12 so your build orders will have to change, and it really enables players to pile on the aggression early on if they choose to, or if you are a Zerg, be really greedy and 3 hatch right off the bat. The new units breath fresh air into the game as well, you have to remember 1 new unit in an RTS game = many many new army compositions and strategies.
Archon Mode: Fun alternative to your typical 2v2. It's actually pretty crazy what you can do with 2 mediocre players.
Co-op Missions: Like Archon mode, it's another less stressful mode for less hardcore players. Some of these missions I feel like I'm playing Dota or something.

On top of all that you have user generated custom games in the Arcade mode...

In conclusion, this is the best RTS game available bar none and I am certain Blizzard will keep improving the multiplayer with updates and rebalances to the meta.

Even if the Protoss aren't as "cool" as the other two factions, I enjoyed this third part of Starcraft, as much as the other two. Graphics, sound and playability were excellent and so was the story. Along with Red Alert, this game is in my best two RTS of all time.

They had pumped so much more story, cinematics and an amazing orchestral sound compilation for this 3rd (and hopefully not final) chapter in Starcraft 2. I am in love and awe with this game, it reminds me of the original butterflies of playing the first starcraft world. Thank you Blizzard in your care for this game, it was something us fans had been waiting for. My life for Aiur.

Definitely the best of the trilogy. SP is pretty fun, personally I liked the story (I don't take it too seriously like some people seem to), and the variety in units' special abilities. And of course MP is still great, with the cool addition of the Archon mode for two players to play the same race together.

A homage to all of the Starcraft games. A must own for Starcraft 2 players. A great finish to a long journey. The story is a little bit short, but it's worth it. Hell, it's about time.

A long journey gets to its end. Im very pleased with this addon, and i am a Zerg player. The story is well told, the action keeps you on track, and every mission seems unique. Shout out to Blizzard, for putting that much effort into this last part of Starcraft 2.

The multiplayer is the best "value per coin" you can get, i spent easily thousand hours with all these mods, especially the remakes of old wc 3 maps. The coopmissions and Archonmode are the best thing, that could happen to everyone with a good friend, who is not into rts. Just try it out, and get addicted.

Thanks Blizzard, and to everyone else: gl&hf !

This game is made by true game makers who knows how to deal with balance mechanics, and not by some **** marketing decision makers.
You can also rely on Blizzard's team to maintain it for years.

Starcraft 2 remains without any doubts the best contemporary strategy video game, and the deepest as well.

    I highly recommend it.

How to explain the last saga in this 3 tier epic behemoth of a game that shows true devotion to fans and quaiity. It's a feast!

The are many - MANY new things to multiplayer, so I will focus alone on the singleplayer campaign.

From the get-go you get an emotional introduction to Aiur and the lost protoss homeworld. Powerful strong and beautiful as ever by Blizzard.
The music here is out of this world - this is perhaps the best game soundtrack I've ever heard !
Singleplayer gives us more of the same, but also new additions. The management part is done as witht the previous installments, but still it seems fresh.
The graphics engine has been updated - and never has the Kprulu sector showed itself more beautiful and diverse as ever.

The story is excellent, a ton of drama and heartfelt moments that will stay with me forever... The ending perfect and bittersweet for a long time fan..

I can't give this game praise enough... If you don't know why this game, to many people is the best ever made - it is time !

Starcraft II Legacy of the Void is a fitting conclusion to the Starcraft II trilogy. Blizzard once again proves its talent for crafting a compelling RTS campaign. I won't lie. There are some very strong emotional beats in this game and Blizzard's excellent cutscenes deliver it with their customary flair.

The mechanics are largely the same and the structure is similar to Wings of Liberty

The mechanics are largely the same and the structure is similar to Wings of Liberty and Heart of the Swarm. You have branching mission paths that allow you to choose which you want to take. As a result you earn new units which can then be augmented further into different variations. These variations offer an incredible level of control over the make up of your forces and allow for new tactics.

What I liked the most about Legacy of the Void was just how different each mission feels. The objectives are varied and present some tense moments. All of these factors come to make one satisfying package that caps off SCII.

But we know what is going to keep players playing this for a long time is the multiplayer and boy has blizzard revamped the multiplayer options like the new co-op missions, archon mod and the daily tournaments every 2 hours or so. I was very impressed they made it a point to update the multiplayer aspect of the game because it was getting stale by the end of Heart of the Storm. I give it a 10 because basically the culmination of years and years of testing that finally blizzard nailed it on the head the multiplayer aspect of game. The single player is worth the admission itself but the multiplayer is worth a lot more then what the price tag is because you will be playing this game for a very long time and that is what is going to give SC2 the longevity that some games lack.

Overall, I can easily recommend Legacy of the Void to any current StarCraft II player, and if you're new to StarCraft II then now is the perfect time to jump in and experience the full story arc. Blizzard has once again managed to add to an already great existing game, making it better and more complete without breaking anything that made the game great in the first place.
