    Before Blizzard went full diversity.

    SC2 has it all. A fast action packed gameplay, great complexity and unit variety, responsive controls and custom maps, coop as well as good MMR system.

    Easily one of the top 50 games of all time, SC2 has been the go-to realtime strategy game for over a decade and for good reason.

    The single player campaign is very good, lots of variety and how a mission is done. Blizzard is the grandmaster when it comes to how to make single player RTS seem fresh and unique even though it is a RTS. Cinematics is top rate on their cut-scenes as well.

    In my personal experience, surviving in the MOBAs era has been a tough challenge for RTS games as a whole, as most MOBA games take away or heavily modified the 'Resource Management' and narrow the number of units to control to around one for the game to be more approachable on a wider range of players from different skill level. In conclusion, if you have a passion for RTS games as a whole, SC2 is a highly recommended choice for your leisure time.

    Overall, in my point of view, it is incredible to know that SC2, and its competitive scenes have been standing strong through the test of time. I have high hopes that SC2 will still be enjoyable by the coming generations for its core concept of RTS.    … Expand

    if u are a fan of rts games there is nothing better than this so 10 out of 10 SP is just great as well
    3rd one of trylogy. just buy all of them and play

    Still love this game. Same as brood war like same. Online still fun. Story line is so good. Aslo keep same race some unit same. Never ever get board of this game. Sound track sound good. Graphics still good. Still hard to win game online. Must buy if you like rts games.

    It is the culmination of Starcraft II. It's hard to master. The multiplayer is polished. The campaign still gives you a good progression with enjoyable missions but unfortunately, it also continues the disappointing story. The ever-shifting balance between the 3 races was the great thing about Starcraft and Broodwar. That is completely lost in SC:II, and the overall direction of theIt is the culmination of Starcraft II. It's hard to master. The multiplayer is polished. The campaign still gives you a good progression with enjoyable missions but unfortunately, it also continues the disappointing story. The ever-shifting balance between the 3 races was the great thing about Starcraft and Broodwar. That is completely lost in SC:II, and the overall direction of the campaign feels just lazy in comparison.
    Still... at the end of the epilogue, once I realised this was the end of a story that started more than 15 years before, I felt a great void and sadness that there would be nothing after, like never in a video game (the last achievement is aptly named "end of an era", if you have any doubt).
    Luckily it continues with the multiplayer, and the new co-op modes are a lot of fun.
    If you're interested in RTS, the whole SC II remains the reference and despite the disappointing story, it is great value.    … Expand

    Great cinematics, but compared to WoL and HotS the campagne was really weak. Anyway great game and the multiplayer got improved with more workers.

    Just giving this game some love after getting back into it in 2020. Still has a player base, very balanced, and overall just a great game.

    For some reason LoV is worst of 3 for me. Missions not that interesting as in WoL and HoS. But anyway great conclusion to the trilogy + not that much good rts cooming lately.

    Final 3/3 part of a good game. Loved the ending of the story! Also My fav faction are the protoss :P, My initial and over time rating might not have been this, but currently as I am still playing some custom Direct Strike, I have to admit, that not everything falls with blizzard practices nowdays... It's realy hard describe the game, because now its considered to have    9/10

    It's realy hard describe the game, because now its considered to have outdated graphics, etc. BUT as I have played the 1.st Starcarft and Broodwar expansion, I was thrilled to find out what happens in the story, and overall I think this is one of the best RTS games out there...
    I mean when I was a kid I played Age of Empires 2 as well, and that's even MORE outdated...also I'm not playing that anymore, but I do play Starcraft 2. So that might tell something...

    Conclusion: You just have to trust me and the others, when we say play this game! Also recommend to play the 1.st one as well.

    Ich spiele Starcraft seit Broodwar Zeiten (1998). Für mich immer noch die Referenz der Echtzeitstratgie Spiele. Das gilt sowohl für SP als auch MP. Der zweite Teil ist eine konsequente Weiterentwicklung des Ersten und macht alles genauso nur eben besser! Die Inszenierung, das Balancing, die Story, das Gamplay, alles ist nahezu perfekt.     This trilogy have become a very big breath of very fresh air in the strategy genre. I would say that for me it is the best real-time strategy about battles. The continuation of the cult story of the first game, made in a new, very beautiful and stylish graphics. All movements, animations, sounds and music are made at the highest level as Blizzard only can do. The plot and cut-scenes of theThis trilogy have become a very big breath of very fresh air in the strategy genre. I would say that for me it is the best real-time strategy about battles. The continuation of the cult story of the first game, made in a new, very beautiful and stylish graphics. All movements, animations, sounds and music are made at the highest level as Blizzard only can do. The plot and cut-scenes of the game make you constantly watch and delve into, like a some good movie or book. Such a strategy seems to be for the most part in a single structure (battles on a limited area in the form of a map), but many levels in this game are something unique with their own ideas. And the rest, what are just battles with the bases, are still made so, that they are never boring, and you do not think that they are similar. In this game, absolutely everything is perfect. And I would give that third part rating 11 if I could, because I like Prottos race, and I was very pleased with the implementation of their culture and technology in that game.     Starcraft is a good game, but there are some thing what is very bad.
    The marines can destroy the airships.. and they speed sometimes faster then vehicles... There are no any options for formations. And the faster units go faster to the destination point and not wait the slow others. But the game other things is okay.

    this game is a must buy to any Sci-Fi fan. great characters. the story is interesting and they totally nailed the Spear of Adun upgrade system, the ship feels "Alien", really cool design. alot of high quality cutscenes with a satisfying ending

    How to explain the last saga in this 3    It started with Wings Of Liberty, then Heart Of The Swarm - and to finish it all, we get Legacy Of The Void.
    As a long time, true fan - I've waited to play this game - to ensure that I could immence myself back into the Kprulu sector - the universe where three different races fight in an epic space opera that started more than 20 years ago now.

    How to explain the last saga in this 3 tier epic behemoth of a game that shows true devotion to fans and quaiity. It's a feast!

    The are many - MANY new things to multiplayer, so I will focus alone on the singleplayer campaign.

    From the get-go you get an emotional introduction to Aiur and the lost protoss homeworld. Powerful strong and beautiful as ever by Blizzard.
    The music here is out of this world - this is perhaps the best game soundtrack I've ever heard !
    Singleplayer gives us more of the same, but also new additions. The management part is done as witht the previous installments, but still it seems fresh.
    The graphics engine has been updated - and never has the Kprulu sector showed itself more beautiful and diverse as ever.

    The story is excellent, a ton of drama and heartfelt moments that will stay with me forever... The ending perfect and bittersweet for a long time fan..

    I can't give this game praise enough... If you don't know why this game, to many people is the best ever made - it is time !

    Starcraft 2 was pretty bad when it came out, but with the focus being on Coop missions now, and Blizzard's efforts to keep those missions interesting, it's MUCH better.

    The campaign is ok and multiplayer is a joke. It's all about Coop.

    A fantastic single player campaign which managed to make even the most dull race seem interesting. Mission design and the unit upgrades just get better with each expansion. The only downside would be parts of the story which follow parts of the plot of WC3 very closely. Very interesting ending also - I wonder where the series will go from here.

    Legacy of the Void is a decent enough finale to the StarCraft saga and completes the stories that were started with StarCraft, StarCraft Brood War and the previous StarCraft 2 Terran and Protoss missions. I found the ending to be satisfying, even though it was a bit cliched and predictable. The gameplay and the challenge experienced is great if you set the difficulty to Hard (Normal isLegacy of the Void is a decent enough finale to the StarCraft saga and completes the stories that were started with StarCraft, StarCraft Brood War and the previous StarCraft 2 Terran and Protoss missions. I found the ending to be satisfying, even though it was a bit cliched and predictable. The gameplay and the challenge experienced is great if you set the difficulty to Hard (Normal is Easy). The only complaint that I have is that most missions are of the type (secure, protect, save - Area 1, Area 2, Area 3, Area 4). Also, the retail price is a bit on the higher side - clearly banking on the fact that long time fans such as myself will pay anything.… Expand

There are some very strong emotional beats in this game and Blizzard's excellent cutscenes deliver it with their customary flair.

    The mechanics are largely the same and the structure is similar to Wings of Liberty    Starcraft II Legacy of the Void is a fitting conclusion to the Starcraft II trilogy. Blizzard once again proves its talent for crafting a compelling RTS campaign. I won't lie. There are some very strong emotional beats in this game and Blizzard's excellent cutscenes deliver it with their customary flair.

    The mechanics are largely the same and the structure is similar to Wings of Liberty and Heart of the Swarm. You have branching mission paths that allow you to choose which you want to take. As a result you earn new units which can then be augmented further into different variations. These variations offer an incredible level of control over the make up of your forces and allow for new tactics.

    What I liked the most about Legacy of the Void was just how different each mission feels. The objectives are varied and present some tense moments. All of these factors come to make one satisfying package that caps off SCII.    … Expand

    If you like competitive-based real-time-strategy with focus entirely on effective warfare, this game might be for you! If you can deal with the science-fiction-based theme too, just get it right now!    … Expand

    While still amazing and enthralling, I didn't quite feel that legacy of the void delivered the same level of impact and amazingness that Heart of the Swarm or Wings of Liberty did. It's still a fantastic experience, but it's not quite on par with the other two entries.

    The protoss campaign was great, it was quiet challenging for the first time even at normal difficulty. The character's fate, the storyline and the ending was OK - it could have been better though. There were some "illogical" decisions but still one of the best gaming experiences I have ever had.

    This generous package will sustain and deepen the competitive side, but Legacy Of The Void also does enough not to scare away the casuals once the closing credits role and multiplayer beckons.

    Overall, I can easily recommend Legacy of the Void to any current StarCraft II player, and if you're new to StarCraft II then now is the perfect time to jump in and experience the full story arc. Blizzard has once again managed to add to an already great existing game, making it better and more complete without breaking anything that made the game great in the first place.
