Oct 13, 2020ooooph, EA continues down the trash-hole. a character is more than their skin color, but corporations won't ever know that. Vought comes to mind with this nonsense
-
Oct 5, 2020The control scheme for the Starfighters needs improvement, there needs to be more game mode ideas, the story is pointless, the spawn points for multiplayer needs improvement, and the missions are super repetitive after you get through the first half.

Oct 5, 2020Just gonna keep it short, one of the buggiest games I've ever played. Maybe try the 4.99 pass on Steam/Origin to check out VR for a round or two (if you can get passed the bugged out UI for logging in to Origin), but definitely don't pay 40 for it.

Oct 10, 2020Played through prologue already mega bored.
Crap story, rubbish like outdated gameplay.
EA and Star wars (Disney) two shocking companies come together. -
Oct 7, 2020Corporate Wokeness with more money spent on Diversity Training than fixing bugs and performance.
If the idea of non-binary millennials makes you want to roll your eyes, this game will deeply irritate you.
The tacked on space fighter bits are kind of cool. I guess it is up to the individual if they want to endorse the distasteful politics in order to experience them. -

Oct 5, 2020Boring game after the novelty wears off in an about 2 hours. Glad I was able to trial this game as I have no desire to purchase the full release. Locked first person view is lame. Cross play is garbage. Another bad Starwars game.

Oct 3, 2020The cockpit looks pretty damn amazing in VR, but the flight controls were awful. There was a huge deadzone and was just frustrating. I booted up TIE Fighter just for hell of it after I got my refund on this. Its minimalist storytelling goes a lot further than this contrived tripe which will look cringey as hell in about 5 years.

Oct 9, 2020Pronouns in Star Wars! What a mess. Going back X-Wing. No woke stuff there.

Oct 4, 2020My god this game is ultra repetitive and not good at all ... very disappointed.

Oct 4, 2020TECHNICALLY UNPLAYABLE
The subreddit and EA answer forum is filled with complaints about how the game enforces a softcap of 60fps. Anything above 60fps and the game will become so stuttery it's unbearable. I'm so angry about getting hyped for another SW game... -

Oct 6, 2020SJW politics is completely destroying every form of entertainment and art of our time. No one is free anymore to tell a story true to the writer/producer original vision.

Oct 5, 2020Game for me was ruined due to political correctness.
Sorry, that stuff shouldn’t be in a game. -
Oct 5, 2020What really drove me mad is that you have to wait 20(!!!) seconds to respawn every time you die. What was the purpose of this? Was it really necessary? Refunded on Steam. Thanks.

Oct 3, 2020Locked to a slideshow FPS, (less than 30) when shown FPS is at least 250FPS. 2080 Super, 10700k, 165hz 1440p Gsync.

Oct 5, 2020Game Summary: 100% woke and 100% broke.
It was more important to make sure one of the characters has "preferred pronouns" and that another male pilot has a husband, than actually produce a game without significant bugs at launch. Multiple Crashes/Freezes for no reason and motion blur ruins the sky box in VR.
Rian Johnson ruined the films, guess its Mitch Dwyer's turn to ruin the games

LEVEL (Czech Republic)Jan 4, 2021The one and only chance to be a space pilot in a galaxy far far away. Living and experiencing adrenaline filled dogfight is simply breathtaking. [Issue#307]

CD-ActionDec 18, 2020To put it simply, Star Wars: Squadrons is a low-budget X-Wing vs TIE Fighter II based off of Battlefront II’s space battles. I admit that I expected more, but after two decades we finally got a new Star Wars sim (leaning towards the arcade side, but still) and I did enjoy it. It looks and sounds like a Star Wars game should, and Motive’s successful effort to balance such dissimilar crafts as the X-Wing and the TIE Fighter is commendable. [12/2020, p.64]

Nov 21, 2020There’s a good concept at the core of Star Wars: Squadrons, as flying a space fighter and managing its systems can be a lot of fun, however, you have to be a very dedicated Star Wars fan to enjoy a drab campaign with just a handful of memorable moments and watered-down multiplayer modes from Battlefront 2.
