Aug 13, 2023Very good game. I enjoyed playing this game a lot. I strongly recommend this.
-
Aug 12, 2023Basically THE deckbuilding roguelike, complete with overpowered decks and plenty of rng to screw up your run.
-
Jul 20, 2023Pros.:
- Cool mechanics of this rogue-like. Normally, I do not like them.
- Nice variety of characters and tactics.
- Artifacts, potions, etc. Things stack.
- Aesthetics. Loved it more than Darkest Dungeon.
Cons.:
- No story. At. All... -
Jul 5, 2023This game is very fun but can feel unfair at points a lot of the negative reviews say that the RNG makes the game unfair, but you usually want to go with the flow when picking cards, rather than just hope for a specific build and get disappointed when you don't get it

Feb 17, 2023this is the best digital card game that you can play, and one of the best roguelikes as well

Jul 14, 2022Pure deckbuilding roguelike experience. A reference point for any other games to be released in this genre. Gameplay > everything else, which makes total sense for a truly indie game.

May 6, 2022Игра досталась бесплатно но затянула на долго, чильнее чем многие ААА проекты. Все любителям думать советую

Apr 20, 2022I play this game on a secret account so my friends don't know, but I love it. Very addictive. I've probably played 200+ hours in this game. I hope none of my friends find this review, as I've been telling them that I've never played this game.

Apr 13, 2022Best turn based tactical card game I've ever played. Very addictive. I like the variations in the characters. Each one plays very differently.

Mar 17, 2022Im a big board game person, but I dont typically like deck builders. This video game is better than most of the deck building board game counterparts. Once I beat it after about 45 hours, I lost the desire to keep playing unlike most people. Perhaps I need to go dive deeper into this one.

Mar 6, 2022I was instantly hooked on this game when I first started playing it. I'm a bit of boardgame geek, so I played the og, physical deckbuilders like Dominion before they were cool, so this hit a sweet spot for me. I don't play this much anymore, but I got a solid 60 or 70 hours of bigly enjoyment out of it.

Feb 7, 2022One of the most engaging turn-based games I’ve played in a long time. It really masters the balance between overall progression and minute-by-minute fun. It’s been a staple in my gaming diet for over a year.

Dec 28, 2021This game is a must play, especially in 2021/2022 where the price is too good for what you're getting.
I hate card games & turn based games, so when I say this game is incredible I mean it.
Get it. -
Dec 11, 2021I believe this was my introduction to the roguelike genre. Both fun and frustrating, but in proper doses. For the price you get 4 characters, and a good helping of replay value. Each character can be played a different way almost every time. Lot's of cards and lot's of options.
-
Oct 25, 2021Very fun game.
Each run you have a lot of option and even after hundreds of hours I'm still hooked! -

Sep 30, 2021I dropped at least 200 hours into this, to level 20 all the characters. The challenge factor is super high and all the mix-and-match options with the cards and relics make each run unique. Plus, the community around it (Jorbs etc.) is super rich. This is the closest I've felt to the feel of Magic the Gathering in a single-player game.

Sep 16, 2021Best game 2019, this kept me hooked since the first time I played it. must stop playing this to play other games but can't.
-
Sep 15, 2021I didn’t expect to like this game since it’s a roguelike and a deck-builder, seemed these two don’t fit together but I was completely wrong. This game is fantastic, it’s challenging and addictive. It’s the kind of game that makes you want to keep playing even when you die and lose everything.

May 31, 2022Slay the Spire is the very definition of a game that's simple to learn and difficult to master. The core mechanics and gameplay are so easy that anyone can pick it up and have a relatively fun time, but learning how to survive takes time and effort. No matter the level, it remains engaging throughout by making every choice meaningful, and victory is decided by your skill and just a dash of RNG. There are many clones out there, many of which are excellent on their own right, but the original Slay the Spire is still one of the most addictive deck-builders ever made.
-
CD-ActionDec 11, 2019Slay the Spire proves that tactical games can glue the player to the chair for long hours without depriving them of mental comfort. At this moment Mega Crit’s debut doesn’t seem to have any competition – neither in the card game genre, nor in the roguelike. [03/2019, p.68]

Apr 16, 2019Deck-building RPG + Roguelike, Slay the Spire is one of the most surprising, deep and engaging game you'll see this year. An absolute must play.
