    Best kung-fu game I have ever played. So fun!
    Also one of the rare games that aren't broken on release (which seems to be standard in gaming these days).

    Absolutely fantastic beatem-up roguelike. Some of the most satisfying combat I've played, right up there with From Softwares. Art direction is also stellar. Really hoping for added content and eventually a Sifu 2

    Looks like a modern beat ‘‘em up. Even the music gives me streets of rage vibes.

    Combat and gameplay is 10/10. Style is 10/10, story is VERY underwhelming. Pretty much solely holding it back from a 9 or 10 for me. Also the last fight when going for the true ending was just obnoxious.

    If it was a bit longer, and had a good story, it'd be a 10 for me.

    awesome combat system and environments. Very few bugs. The aging idea as lives is well executed, and works well for the roguelite aspect of the game.
    The team who made this game was attacked by jason "the cockroach" (((schreier))) without any merit, proven by the fact that the game is fantastic.

    The longnose "journalist" feasts in sowing dissent, and should be disregarded

Игра частенько забывает тебе объяснить как работают какие механики , ты будешь ненавидеть её, не понимать, но тебя будет тянуть. А кто вообще был к примеру в курсе , что, чтобы купить навсегда навык надо купить его 3! МАТЬ ЕГО! 3 РАЗА!!!!! Об этом в игре ни слова. Но почему же все же 10/10? Да ни почему, потому что яSifu-это игра про то, как ты будешь учиться в нёё играть от 2 до 3 часов. Игра частенько забывает тебе объяснить как работают какие механики , ты будешь ненавидеть её, не понимать, но тебя будет тянуть.     Невероятно интересная и уникальная концепция, когда вы начинаете играть за молодого бойца и с каждым нанесённым вам серьёзным поверждением старее, если вам станет больше, чем 70 лет вы погибаете и всю игру придётся начинать заново, сохранения не обнуляют возраст! По сюжету вы должны просто отомстить за убитого отца.
    Тут есть и минус, чтобы пройти игру, вам понадобится    7,5/10

    Тут есть и минус, чтобы пройти игру, вам понадобится перепроходить одно и тоже по 10 раз, задр*ч*вая, чтобы практически не получать урона( извините, не знаю, как ещё сказать)
    Стилистика у игры очень прикольная, драки очень эффектные, но мне показалось, что приёмов достаточно мало.
    Я игру полностью не проходил и, наверное, не буду, не мой жанр, я умер уже на первом боссе, а дошёл к нему в возрасте лет 40) Но я видел концовку на ютубе и она очень слабая.

    Но всё равно, надо признать, что это претендент на игру года 2022, хоть и "на любителя" и со слабым сюжетом, но концепция/геймплей тащат.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Sifu is a great video game with only a few flaws bringing it down. The game is the true definition of quality over quantity. I'm glad they didn't sell it on full price cuz that would cause a **** show. The things that confuse me is that short games that cost 50$ or more have existed and very little people actually complained about it. Like Capcom for example created RE 8 which was only 8-10 hours long and it cost 60$. I think the reason these games aren't complained as much is because of its high replayability. Sifu falls into that same category but with a cheaper price. It took me a solid 10 hours to complete the game and it was an absolute blast. As an avid fan of old style martial arts movies, this game truly captured all of that love. The level design is outstandingly good with a great soundtrack. The game only has a total of 5 levels but all of these levels are so diverse and memorable that you would probably visit them again even after finishing. The story might seem very simplistic at first but when you take your time to look at all the clues that were given to you and figure out exactly what happened, that's where the story hits all of its marks. Is it the best story ever made? no, but it is a good enough story that fits and supports the gameplay very well.

    My only problems with this game are the following:
    1. The Camera
    The camera is just really bad. Just as bad as Sekiro imo. The amount of times I've been stuck in a corner and being able to see nothing is insane. There's also a lack of a quick turn button like in God of War. Since the game's camera is placed right behind your player, you can't see what's behind you and it's a problem since the game wants you to fight multiple foes. Turning the camera around is way too slow to be manageable.

    2. Lady Kuroki's boss design is kinda poor. The game wants you to use weapons to fight her but they never give you any weapons to fight her with. You gotta bring it to her and preserve the weapon's durability and it doesn't feel like the right way to play. It feels like I'm trying to cheese the boss and this could've just been fixed if they had just given me a weapon right before her boss fight. Also, her 2nd phase is much easier than her first, I have no idea why. I don't think bosses are supposed to be like that as a fan of Souls games.

    3. The Tower level has a lot of missed opportunities. It is not a bad level by any means but it is the weakest compared to the rest of them. Imagine being able to fight at the top of the tallest building in the world? Inside the elevator like in Captain America The Winter Soldier? They didn't do any of that which was a missed opportunity.

    I've heard people mention that the combat in the game is mid because of its lack of combos. I don't agree with that sentiment at all. Sure the combos might not be as stacked as Tekken or DMC but this is a tight 8-10 hour long game so too much combos would feel misplaced and not fitting. I also think the game could maybe benefit with a style meter like in DMC, that's not a flaw just mentioning something that could maybe work.
    Overall, this game is **** great and exceeded my expectations which was already pretty damn high. The hits, animations, sound effects and enemies are so cool and it just feels exactly how it should feel. Definitely one of the best games to be released this year    … Expand

    One of the best games ever made. This game got a very good and stylish graphics also the gameplay is awesome. If you like fighting games, you will love it too. And the OldBoy reference is so nice. Thanks a lot who made this game.

    As a big fan of absolver, I LOVE this game!
    +Simple yet beautiful art style.

    Amazing artwork and music. All moves are exciting and make you a master of the Kong-Fu! The ideia is simple and good. Its challanging and you must learn how to fight. Its not a smash button game! Must play!

    It's like this game was created for me. Pure gameplay and action. Juicy, thoughtful fights where you need to use every aspect of the game to be successful. I could not find a use for just a couple of techniques, everything else works and is useful in different situations.

    I realize that ı'm real hungry to fighting games like that. This game is absolutely perfect. Theme, maps, fighting techniques are absolutely breathtaking. I recommend it for everyone to play this masterpiece. Thank you SLOCLAP for let me adding this artwork to my library.

    Good game, cool combat system, good music, unique and beautiful locations and a simple plot. The game is not for everyone, but it is worth a try to play it.

Cut scenes in the best traditions of cinema. Pleased with numerous references to films, situations and techniques of hand-to-hand combat from them. I liked the art style, as well as the locations worked out to the smallest detail. Trampled snow is simply gorgeous. And even the character's voice and utterances change with age. I really like to walk and look at the details on the levels. Looking at them, you begin to imagine how the inhabitants of the level of their life and daily routine live. Here is a guard at the entrance to the club, and next to him is a table with laid out cards and the game is clearly not finished. Most likely, the partner in the game went to the toilet or for cigarettes. Or the gymnastics coach we fought. He had a gym bag and water bottles next to him. I just imagined how she periodically drank water from them because of the heat and to wet her throat while talking to her audience of students, and then with a bag she goes to change. The music conveys the mood of the locations very well. I hope in addition they will add the ability to choose opponents from those that have already met in the red training room. For example, the bosses that you have already met and mini bosses. Some people say that there are few levels, but I disagree. There are as many levels as there are antagonists. As for me, this is just the golden mean. Better fewer levels, but very elaborate, than many, but empty. There is something to criticize the game for. The camera sometimes turns completely in the wrong direction where I want and I have to periodically fight with it while they beat me. It happens on the wall. I parried and the enemy pushed me to the wall, where I stop seeing him, as well as myself, including. In a game where everything is built on the reaction, this is a problem. The only way out is not to stand against the wall. There are sometimes annoying bugs that will get you stuck on the level. It's doubly disappointing if before that you played better than ever and you have to lose this progress and replay again. It's good that this is very rare and if you understand how it was caused, then you can simply avoid repeating these actions. With the advanced training regimen, I will give it a 10.     Fantastic rogue-like beat-em up. Tight combat system, great music (playing through that club sequence for the first time - cathartic) & although i see a lot of people complaining about the difficulty, i thought it was pretty fair, but that could just be me being used to highly difficult games.     The only gripes i have for this game - a few difficulty spikes in some areas which which could have used a bit more balancing (such as the two mini bosses before the 2nd boss, though i believe they've already ironed those two out in an update) & the lack of a chinese VO which would have really increased the immersion factor.

    This was the one game that i felt was the closest spiritual successor to God Hand, and Sifu manages to satisfy on a similar experience (Even if the game mechanics were slightly different). For years i have long waited for another beat-em-up brawler in the same vein, so props to the developers for scratching that itch!    … Expand

    Sensacional, só merecia mais reconhecimento esse jogo mas infelizmente foi ofuscado por conta de outros lançamentos que na minha opinião são inferiores, mas enfim... SIFU é um jogo que te faz muita raiva mas ativa seu instinto vingativo pra derrotar todos os inimigos, você tem que se concentrar bastante pois tem que saber a hora certa de aplicar os golpes e a hora de se defender

    + There are often multiple ways to face off enemies based on the environment and the skills you've unlocked
    + Possibility to perma-unlock skills
    + The game keeps track of your personal best at each level and lets you restart from there for the next one
    + High replayability
    + Really good fighting animations
    + Audio mixing options
    + Simple photo mode
    + Similar enemies have similar moves, and equal enemies come with two or three faces and different clothes so that they don't look all the same copy-pasted enemy
    + Possibility to remap controls

    Cons:
    - Even though the mechanics are complex, ultimately it is the damage of the enemies that is really unforgiving. That could be decreased to create easier modes so that also less-skilled players can enjoy this beautiful combat system
    - A few bugs, but the noticeable ones are really rare
    - Loading speed is ok, but the short unskippable cinematic at the beginning of each stage and some unskippable dialogues make replaying a level heavier than it should
    - The story could have been deepened a bit more
    - The camera is pure hell, and it will take you multiple hours to understand how to deal with it a bit
    - Camera-related, no manual target options. The game decides who to target and how to keep it in the camera, but it sucks at it
    - Some mechanics are not well-explained
    - Some enemies have trial-and-error attacks, some of which have extremely narrow window of time to recognize them
    - The training room doesn't allow you to change the enemy you're training with from a default one
    - No weapon durability on the HUD
    - You cannot open the detective board from the level selection menu
    -The game doesn't allow you to start the level you just reached with your best score instead of the one you currently have. Example: if you finish the first level at age 21 and then replay it and finish it at age 22, the game won't allow you to start level 2 at age 21 instead of 22 until you do a game over first
    - The game doesn't let you decide which one is your best score. For example, I finished level 1 with Age 21 and some abilities, and then I did it again (always age 21) but with different abilities that I wanted more, but the game automatically kept my first result as my best one
    - Even though the resurrection is explained narratively, replaying a level while still having not only the shortcut keys, but also doors unlockable only with keys found in future levels is never dealt with story-wise
    - Being unable to run from enemies in order to rush to a boss is frustrating. Every fight that you encounter is mandatory

    Miscellanous:
    * Some enemies will refill their life when finished with a special animation, unless you use the finisher on them in certain points that trigger a different "killing cinematic", thus preventing the second life of the enemy. I'm still unsure if this is a feature or a bug
    * Unnamed protagonist
    * The game features a combo system similar to a fighting game, which is pretty hard to make the most of if you're not used to it. But in any case, the game can be finished even with basic light/heavy attack combos with not many thinking in them, since the most important thing is not HOW you attack but WHEN and WHO
    * Getting all the achievements/trophies requires to deeply master the game
    * The length of the game is heavily skill-dependent, varying from 5 to 15 hours, and up to 20 or 25 for a more completionist run    … Expand

    The game's true action peaks are not in the boss parts (where it's more about epicentres of frustration), but in the mass brawls that match the best scenes from films like Raid or Kill Zone. Actually, it's even better, because here you are in the lead role and you take everyone on in a very personal and dynamic and vigorous way. [Issue#320]

    Sifu is still a solid action game that feels tailor-made for those willing to put in the time to learn the systems. The subsequent patches have opened up the game to more players who lean on either side of the difficulty spectrum, but it remains challenging even if you try to make the game as easy as possible. The main adventure is a more than satisfying romp thanks to the deep fighting system. The new Arenas mode adds loads more life to the game, even if your only interest is seeing which movies get referenced in a given scenario. Players on both the Xbox platforms and Steam are rewarded for their patience with a very good game, while the Arenas mode alone gives owners on other platforms and stores a big reason to return to Sifu.

    High difficulty accentuates every problem, like wonky camera, weird timings and unpredictable invincibility frames of enemy attacks. But at its highs, Sifu is incredibly dynamic, picturesque and rewarding, a great companion for a nostalgia trip to the VHS era. [Issue#259, p.52]
