May 13, 2019This GTA-spoof game is a bit too similar to its predecessor Retro City Rampage for its own good. It tries to entertain, but the jokes are rude and angry without being funny.
Gameplay is chaotic, graphics are barely passing. The retro look is overdone by now, it fails to charm and impress.
Not worth your money at all. -
May 19, 2019Very nice musics. Drawings and graphics are good. The open world is beatifully designed. BUT they are errors in the scenario. The difficulty level of this game is not satisfactory.

May 19, 2019good pixel graphics and musics plus good open-world but gameplay so messy
worth to playing

Edge MagazineJun 20, 2019A sandbox where waypoint distances are measured in pixels, and journeys are over in seconds, is surely one worth celebrating. [Issue#334, p.122]

May 26, 2019More than a “more of the same”, Shakedown Hawaii improves almost everything it takes from Retro City Rampage and introduces new mechanics. Not everything works as it should, but it never lacks ambition. Moreover, his 16bit style is super cool.

May 20, 2019Stylish Shakedown: Hawaii hits the mark with its 16-bit look and great soundtrack. Retro GTA fans will also get a similar mix with the predecessor Retro City Rampage in the DX version - without grafted-up, ultimately unnecessary economic simulation elements.
