While Sengoku Jidai’s historical accuracy and tactical focus made a strong first impression, I found that the more I played and understood its mechanics, the less I enjoyed it.

    Very steep learning curve
Tutorial teaches very little, you have to go through the manual at least once to learn all the basics
    Need much

Need much micro-management for large battles, often you would find you units blocking your own units, out of move suddenly when you thought you have enough AP to perform a flank
Worst thing about this game is forced pursuit.
Great, you route a unit finally but your own unit would pursuit it without asking you, the commander and thus open up its flank which is very stupid and hard to avoid.
AI is not bad, not too challenging or too stupid. You often find you are defeated by the game mechanics because it is too hard to understand.
