    Scorn is a massive disappointment, no idea how they got this so wrong. Being indecipherable is fun for like five minutes and the shock factor wears ofd even quicker. Then the rest of the novelty wears off once you realize you move super slow, absolutely everything is bizarre about the environment so it’s hard to understand how one puzzle connects to the next, the animations that play areScorn is a massive disappointment, no idea how they got this so wrong. Doors don’t stay open in some areas… you have to go through a two step process to unlock them and draw them open. Then they’re timed, so if you don’t make it through the door you have to go through the slow unlock and open animations again…. They spent 90% of the budget on the graphics and forgot they needed a game

    Nothing makes any sense, it's the most boring piece of walking simulator i have ever seen.
    I'm only giving it a 2 because the atmosphere, the graphics and the sounds are fantastic. Everything else is awful.
    1 hour was more than enough.

    There are some problems in the game and also the presence of bloody scenes is almost a blood game more than a horror game

    The graphics are great, other than that, the game is empty and totally less than expected. The title was hyped and failed to deliver.

    The 4/10 is for the graphics alone, as the plot (there is none) and gameplay (it's extremely basic) don't garner any points. This really took 6 years to make? It's a four-hour long game with a really disappointing ending as if the developers didn't have enough time to think of a satisfying conclusion...

    The shooting is bad, it's just plain bad. There are 3 enemy types and you move slower than a snail stuck in glue. There is one boss (which is really just another puzzle) and the game is 100% linear with zero exploration. Flip this switch, grab that jar of goo, get a piece of your body ripped off, etc. Not worth playing, watch a YouTube video walkthru instead as there is no satisfaction in finishing the game yourself.

    I don't think it's even worth playing if you got it for free, it's just too slow and extremely unsatisfying! Don't expect any answers or satisfaction from this walking simulator/puzzle game.    … Expand

    It is a meh game. I tried it as part of Xbox PC Game Pass, so did not buy it, but still disappointed. There is no direction, aimless wondering… Everything looks as it was turned inside out. Maybe some hints?! I uninstalled after an hour… has better games to play!

    O jogo é chato e peca em demasiado em não saber impor um ritmo que cative. Os puzzles são muito enjoativos. Uma das grandes decepções do ano.

    Disappointed yet again with this years big “Xbox exclusive” it’s pretty much just a walking simulator. There is zero horror and the game is a complete bore. All you do is walk around and press a button to interact with uninspired puzzles. 4-5 hours later you’re done wondering why you even bothered. There is no story here. No enjoyment. Загадки в игре есть, но они мало того, что не оригинальные, они ещё и не сложные. Шутерная механика в игре, пожалуй худшая часть игры. Сюжет, да его здесь и нет.     Heureusement que les dialogues sont là pour compenser (non je rigole, y'a 0 dialogue de tout le jeu).
    Le tout saupoudré de labyrinthes et d'énigmes relou comme on n'en fait plus (heureusement qu'on n'en fait plus), au départ tu essayes et au bout d'une heure de jeu tu abandonnes et tu suis la soluce à chaque couloir pour éviter de perdre du temps dans cet univers pénible. Quand t'en es réduis à ça pour un jeu vidéo, ça fait peur....

    Alors oui sur un plan technique c'est plutôt joli, les décors l'ambiance et le moteur audio sont excellents, mais on se fait chier quoi.

    Un jeu qui vas forcément cliver. Un jeu d'ambiance, gore, qui demande de la réflexion et qui veut que l'on prend son temps, va forcément diviser les avis.
    Ici pas de bourrinage et de grosse phases de shoot, il faut réfléchir explorer, chercher etc... C'est pas facile et c'est dur parfois. Aucune aide donc vous devez vous débrouillez seul, sans dialogue, sans affichage particulier sur l'écran et même pas une ligne de texte. Comme à la bonne vieille époque ou on vous prenez pas par la main et on vous disait pas où aller, quoi faire, comment etc... Tout l'inverse de notre époque où tout t'es expliqué, où tu as des aides partout, map, indication divers sur la map, vue de faucon, couleur différente pour bien identifier ce que tu dois toucher ou attraper, auto-lock, téléportation au lieu souhaité, cinématique et ligne de dialogue qui t'explique tout, tu t'accroupie dans 20cm d'herbe t'es invisible, la vie qui se régénère toute seule, objectifs indiqué, automatisation d'options et j'en passe.
    L'ambiance sonore est excellente et colle parfaitement à la DA splendide. Techniquement c'est propre, beau, fluide. On est pas loin d'un jeu next gen graphiquement même si on est dans un jeu couloir et donc pas gourmand.
    Le game design n'a rien d'exceptionnel mais on attend pas un truc de fou pour un puzzle game vu fps. Par contre le level design est très très bien travailler et réfléchit.
    Le jeu est cours environ 6h, 6h32 pour ma part, mais j'ai prit du temps à apprécier et admirer les décors qui sont splendide et certains endroits sont de vrais tableaux.
    Très impressionné que se soit un studio indé qui est réussi à sortir un tel jeu et surtout après que le jeu soit mit de coté il y a quelques années suite à un financement pas suffisant.
    En résumé un jeu qui plaira ou non mais qui vas ravir les fans du genre puzzle game ou ambiance ou contemplatif ou les nostalgiques d'une époque où les jeux ne vous prenez pas par la main.    … Expand

    The entire of ACT1 seems grafted on as the game literally has two openings. (my guess is that act1 is the kickstater demo /    So very disappointing (and metacritic just lost a 4000 word review :( ) combat is abysmal and a detraction from the game, once the shock and weirdness of the environment settles in becomes too big with too little unique locations or puzzles / content to support it.
    The entire of ACT1 seems grafted on as the game literally has two openings. (my guess is that act1 is the kickstater demo / prototype and they never figured out how to integrate into the rest of the game in a coherent fashion)

    The Store-page not only straight out lies about this game (there is no interconnected open world, you can't upgrade your character and you really are not as much as exploring, but following a pretty straight forward path with hard to navigate sections inbetween) but is pretty overpriced for a max 5 hour experience imho.

    It will take a while until you find your first weapon and the game tries it best to make your experience of puzzle-solving extremely mundane and wasteful inbetween the really sparse enemy-encounters. The shooting itself is even worse, and it might be the reason why there aren't many enemy encounters.    … Expand

    Don't belive the positive critics, this game is a big scam! It's miss-advertised plus completly boring!
    It's a walking simulator for geometry or if you ask for a house and get a roofless hut after 6 years. It's the biggest scam i ever witnessed so far! Don't fall for it!

    The trailer make you think it's an survival horror, but it's actually a boring puzzle game.
    If i knew this i would play Professor Layton instead

    Terrible puzzle game and terrible horror game, 40€ for 3 hours of gameplay.
    What the **** is wrong with you, what is this game.

    Kickstarter and all to make designs and animations, and the end result is absolute garbage.

    Could have been so much better if it just was a puzzle game with no combat at all. I love the visuals and the sound design, incredible atmosphere, but the sense of the whole thing is totally impossible to understand until the very end. I expected the game to shed some light on the mystery towards the end, but it actually became just more obscure. A huge waste of potential.

    I´m getting too angry over here, just deleted the game. They should have implemented better save mechanics because when you miss a weapon everything goes to hell. Level design is nowhere near Gigers works (some places are great but overall its a bit uninspired) and the gameplay is not good.. except for some of the riddles!

Can we classify this as a game? it's an experience, but i assure you, you will remember this as boring experience, gorgeously boring, but still boring.

    Some of the best graphics/atmosphere and some of the worst combat I've seen in years. It's so bad that if it wasn't on gamepass I would have stopped playing it and asked for a refund. Honestly, if they added a "story mode" that eliminates the combat completely and leaves only the puzzle/walking-simulator aspect it would be so much more enjoyable.

    L'unica cosa che si salva di questo gioco è la grafica... Gameplay assolutamente: incomprensibile, non ti spiga mai niente di quello che devi fare, noioso (probabilmente il gioco più noioso che io abbia mai giocato) ed una storia senza alcun senso. Spero vivamente che la prossima volta facciano un gioco migliore perché, a parer mio, questo è il videogioco peggiore del decennio.

    Visual design is cool, but It's just copy paste of famous artists like Hans Rudolf Giger and Beksiński. Everything else is boring and uninspiring. Also, the gameplay is very simple, and still while playing I got a bug that made me replay 30 min of the game... fighting monsters is tedious, and dodging their attack is just running around. 10% of the game I watch switching buttons animation,Visual design is cool, but It's just copy paste of famous artists like Hans Rudolf Giger and Beksiński. Everything else is boring and uninspiring. Also, the gameplay is very simple, and still while playing I got a bug that made me replay 30 min of the game... fighting monsters is tedious, and dodging their attack is just running around. 10% of the game I watch switching buttons animation, 40% of the game is running around, 30% of the game is fighting and 20% of the game is solving puzzles.     O jogo é apenas bonito, não tem como defender esse jogo. Não tem história bem elaborada, não tem upgrade de armas que faça valer a pena, qualquer FPS antigo do MS-DOS tem mais opções de armas do que esse jogo. Scorn é parado, repetitivo; eu até gosto e puzzles mas Scorn tem puzzles sem noção e sem necessidade , a cada corredor é um puzzles, tudo é puzzles nesse jogo; combate chato eO jogo é apenas bonito, não tem como defender esse jogo. Não tem história bem elaborada, não tem upgrade de armas que faça valer a pena, qualquer FPS antigo do MS-DOS tem mais opções de armas do que esse jogo. Scorn é parado, repetitivo; eu até gosto e puzzles mas Scorn tem puzzles sem noção e sem necessidade , a cada corredor é um puzzles, tudo é puzzles nesse jogo; combate chato e algumas vezes te força a querer desistir do jogo e não falo que é difícil e sim é enjoativo porque falta criatividade nos monstros, uns 4 monstros apenas tirando o Boss que alias voce enfrenta 2 iguais. O jogo tem 2hrs 30m o que ainda te faz abrir a boca de sono, personagem andando é muito duro de mexer que chega a irritar. No começo do jogo você tem opção de salvar o homem preso no casulo ou mata-lo mas não muda em nada, não tem 2 finais que alias o jogo nem tem final, nada se explica no jogo, não tem falas. A luta com o Boss parece mais uma luta com jogo dos anos 90, o boss faz apenas 1 movimento repetitivo para voce mata-lo facilmente. Você fica com um parasita o tempo todo no corpo que esta ali praticamente sem fazer sentido no final. Só tem um mapa, 1 único mapa, só no começo que voce sai no deserto e dura 5 minutos e pronto o resto do jogo se resume dentro da mesma coisa com milhares de puzzles, sinceramente voce passa a maior parte do tempo resolvendo puzzles infinitos do que jogando, matando monstros.
    Scorn só apresenta gráficos bonitos, mais nada. Foi uma decepção muito grande pois eu criei uma expectativa enorme em cima dele , prometeu tudo e não entregou nada.    … Expand

    Mais um jogo que claramente foi moldado para atender a um formato de servicos que é abaixo da média da crítica. Não possui narrativa e os puzzles, que são o foco são entediantes. Não há diversão nele.

    El juego está bien en ambientación un 9 pero el juego en plan Teror no, shooter no, survival horror no, puzzles ....al principio más que al final y no muchos, no te da motivos para rejugarlo, un final abierto que no te dice nada, nada de narrativa ni historia, no sabes nada de su mundo de principio a fin, podría haber sido mucho mejor y se quedó a media o eso es lo que a mí me parece.

    8 years of development produced one of the most boring games ever created. It's clear there was too much focus on making the game look and sound good, than actually being fun and giving a sense of accomplishment. Way too short, basic game design elements just don't exist, level design is horrendous, controls are confusing, abysmal AI, and "boss" encounters are a joke. What a disappointment

Otherwise, it's just another indie adventure with annoying puzzles, terrible action and an abstract storyline. Maybe I would have been more forgiving, but they've been making it for 8 years!     Possivelmente, um dos piores lixos que já joguei. O jogo não tem narrativa, não tem história, não tem gráficos decentes, uma nojeira atrás da outra que não tem objetivo nenhum na história. Uma gameplay péssima, puzzles chatos, tediosos e sem sentido no jogo. Enfim, cheio de problema, péssimo jogo, que não faz sentido nenhum em existir.

    cada dia certifico mas que el lanzar el dinero a la basura de xbox es lo peor que pude hacer, solo una palabra describe al "GRAN" exclusivo de xbox, perdi dinero con la consola y con el game pass, este juego es patetico, increiblemente aburrido, sin sustos sin impacto. no lo recomiendo. "gore" pssss patetico. no merece ni el tiempo que invierto escribiendo esta reaeña.

    Scorn is boring, uninspired, and tedious. It could pass in the 1950s but not in 2022. Thank God it was on the game pass, I feel sorry for the people who paid for the game. Hopefully the studio goes out of business. Do not waste time on it!

    I tried the game for 1 Euro via GamePass. Even the 1 Euro was too much. I waited for this game and was hoping for a horror survival with an Alien like environment. The environment was there, but the boring and repetitive puzzles just killed the game for me. The game is advertised as a „survival horror adventure“. Instead we got a walking puzzle simulator.     Скорн очень авангардное произведение. Начну с плюсов:

    - Шикарный дизайн игры, не всегда логичный, но очень красивый и цельный. - Погружение в игру, атмосфера. Все, плюсов в игре, кроме графической составляющей нету. Я не страдаю пространственным кретинизмом и ориентировался очень хорошо в этих кишках, но больше всего меня уничтожила битва с боссом, еще дойдем до нее. Минусы: -    Скорн очень авангардное произведение. Начну с плюсов:

    Все, плюсов в игре, кроме графической составляющей нету. Я не страдаю пространственным кретинизмом и ориентировался очень хорошо в этих кишках, но больше всего меня уничтожила битва с боссом, еще дойдем до нее.
    Минусы:

    - Геймплей - его просто нету, мне не интересно сражаться с жирными врагами, которые отличаются только хп и размером, ну и один из них не умеет плеваться. Боевка в этой игре настолько отвратительная, что лучше бы я просто ходил по кишкам без врагов, игра бы была лучше.
    - Затянутость и бэктрекинг. Игра и так короткая, но искусственное растяжение игры таким дешевом и противным способом мне не нравится. Скорн - это не имерсив сим, локации в игре являются просто декорацией, мне достаточно одного раза посмотреть на них.
    - Конченый босс и гениальная идея геймдизайнера сделать босс файт дважды. Босс просто переодически спамит дальними атаками, а задача игрока бить по уязвимым точкам, это настолько медленно и скучно, что я засыпал на этом. Так еще после убийства нам нужно замочить опять такого же босса, но у нас теперь такое же оружие, гспд, это худший боссфайт в моем игровом опыте.

    Я поставил бы игре 8/10, если бы был фоторежим и отсутствие боевой части в игре. Если бы игра была просто набором уровней с головоломками, такой себе галереей с фоторежимом, то я бы оценил ее на порядок выше, но увы, я не могу рекомендовать игру к покупке, но попробовать поиграть стоит.    … Expand

    El juego no te explica nada, lo que significa que vas a estar horas tratando de resolver los puzzles con combates monótonos de por medio.     An artist's game, the graphic aspect is really developed it is undeniable! But that's all, the gameplay is absent or almost and the puzzles uninteresting. I couldn't play more than 30 minutes... Youtube allowed me to watch the whole adventure, but it was hard too.

The combat is at least comprehensible, but its clunky, boring, and checkpoints needlessly punishing when you get killed, once again ruining the pacing. Fundamentals like "where can i walk" have not been nailed down, the level design is riddled with crutches like invisible walls.

    If it was literally just a walking sim where you push fleshy buttons sometimes to progress and maybe with trivally easy combat along the way, i would have given it an 8+. It would have been amazing as just an interactive art piece where you move from one area to the next to marvel at the sights and sounds. Sadly the experience is ruined at every step by truly inept attempts at gameplay.    … Expand

    Les graphismes sont bien, mais alors le reste une catastrophe.
    Le gameplay est lent et lourd, les ennemies inintéressant, les puzzles chiant, et la durée de vie trop courte.
    Je m'attendais tellement à mieux.
    Je l'ai terminé et désinstallé aussitôt.
    Dommage.

    I'm stuck at the brightness screen. Clicking on accept or pressing enter is not working. So i'm not even able to enter the main menu. Nuff said i would say about this masterpiece! Stay away from this software junk.

    -running simulator with mini games not puzzles, bad sluggish combat (unavoidable enemy attacks) and bad final boss.

    Scorn was one of my most expected horror games, after a long while, what we got is a fairly boring game with bland mechanics and mostly just environments. I wish this would be an experiment for Ebb Software, but there is just so much wasted potential here which left me with just disappointment.
