    This game is like a playable version of an old Björk record. It is a piece of art, more than it is a standard game. It paces slowly through a lunar landscape made of pictures of tree-stumps and moss, roughly yet stylishly pasted together in some ancient copy of photoshop, while you're solving silly puzzles to the sound of calming psychedelic jazz, glowing somewhere in the background.This game is like a playable version of an old Björk record.     This game and its creators came from the era of flash games back in the early 2000s, which weren't really to be taken very seriously, and in my opinion, Amanita Design are one of the true pioneers of the indie game movement. I remember playing Samorost 1 in a browser window, being blown away by why someone had created such a beautiful "joke". I think that was the first time I saw art that actually resonated with me on some deeper spiritual level.

    Granted, I'm too nostalgically attached to this game to see all of its flaws, and it probably isn't as appealing to the audience of today as it was back when. I suggest you try Amanitas later success "Machinarium" if you want to play a game that is more up to speed concerning gameplay quality. But art-wise, few games have ever made such a lasting impression on me as Samorost 1 & 2 did.    … Expand

    It has many glitches and negatives but i dont care :) Great game. i just enjoyed a lot this title like all samorost titles. I just like a lot the idea of the samorost games and i like main character of this titles.
