Don't listen to the trolls on here. This game is amazing! I hope Skunkape is able to remaster the other two Sam & Max games!

I just finished playing Sam and max and is really a fun game if you actually want to play the game sure there are time when you get stuck in an area but you will figure it out eventually I also heard about some censored line and Bosco's voice change from the original but to be honest does it really matter, some jokes are still funny and they probably censored the lines to keep the rated TI just finished playing Sam and max and is really a fun game if you actually want to play the game sure there are time when you get stuck in an area but you will figure it out eventually I also heard about some censored line and Bosco's voice change from the original but to be honest does it really matter, some jokes are still funny and they probably censored the lines to keep the rated T and Bosco's voice doesn't change the game it's just changed so overall the game is really fun and great and I hope the season 2 and 3 also get remasters. I like this game because it seems like a mix of many games that I once played, for example cuphead (for the music) minecraft SM (for the dialogues with NPCs) and the saw puzzle games, it has good graphics, it has a very good soundtrack On top of that, it is relatively cheap and from what I saw it is long, I recommend it, and not only because they censor a joke, you have to give the game 1 rating

This is a good ass game. People are **** about .1% of the script changed (changed you can look up online and see for yourself beforehand to see if it ruins the game for you or not) and a changed voice actor. Now, whether the new VA is better or worse is up for debate, but even if you think he's god awful (he isn't) that doesn't justify the horrid scores this game has received here. The game is a beautiful labor of love on the first successful episodic game series, with updated graphics and music that makes it the definitive experience. Even so, the devs have now put the original episodes in as FREE DLC, meaning now they are all in one nice clean package for the first time, as previously they were all broken up on steam.

It's never endingly perplexing to me how the same people who would say **** like "lol get over it snowflake" are the same people who **** and moan over like 10 jokes being changed because "muh sjw culture ruining video games".

This is a good game and deserves a better score. Play it for yourself and you'll see.

Absolutely beautiful remake of a fantastic game, and i cant wait to see more! Seeing the game like this is like playing it for the first time again, its superb. I love the new theme song that was composed for it as well, it really encompasses the feel of the franchise. My only gripe would be that playing on the Switch, it is sometimes hard to select the item you want to inspect, but thatsAbsolutely beautiful remake of a fantastic game, and i cant wait to see more! My only gripe would be that playing on the Switch, it is sometimes hard to select the item you want to inspect, but thats mostly on me not wanting to use the touchscreen (listen i snack when i game and i dont want to smudge the screen). This remaster is am excellent experience that I've already reccomended to many of my friends and I'm very excited to see the other seasons get this treatment. I've seen others complain that some jokes were removed, but as someone who played the original version as well, it has no bearing on enjoyment and honestly i didn't notice they were gone until it was pointed out to me. Bosco's voice actor was replaced but honestly theres barely a difference, if you haven't played the originals in a while you might not even notice its not the same guy. Overall this remaster nails it, and I'd definitely give it a chance if you haven't already. Expand

A near perfect remaster of a great game. The visual improvements are delightful, seeing the characters return with better models and animation was great, and the lighting, day-night cycle, and colours are lovely to look at. Only drawbacks are lack of new bonus content for returning players, and Bosco's new voice actor, who didn't seem to be the right actor for the role. Regardless, it's nice to see developers who handle badly-aged content with grace. Few things are more prone to aging terribly than comedy, and it's a testament to Sam and Max's brilliance that it ages as well as it does. But of course, some things had to change. I applaud the devs for not pssyfooting around the sensitivities and entitlement of a loud minority of returning players who cannot handle changing times. There is some anger over the changes, but they were inevitable. (I cannot imagine the coddled, cushy, privileged life one would have to life in order to think THIS is an example of "censorship" or "propaganda".) Besides Bosco, which I believe was a problem with the actor they chose and not the decision to change the actor in the first place, the changes are miniscule. We live in a world that's growing the hell up, and if we don't grow the hell up with it, we risk being left behind. Luckily, Sam and Max will not be left behind, due to the mature and tactical decision-making of the devs. Expand

Spoiler Alert: Nobody cares about your "censorship" tantrums. If you miss those 2 old jokes so much, go play the original version. The developers did a great job of remastering the game, and while I wasn't offended by those two jokes and the original voice actor for Bosco, I couldn't care less if they were taken out. Just let people enjoy the game, yeah?

Lovely update to an old classic, the game looks surprisingly up to date with some gorgeous lightning and models. Everything has been improved, and it makes me sad some people are bombing this game because one lame joke has been changed. Give it a try if you like adventure games or just enjoy hyper kinetic rabbity chaos

I think the censorship and firing of the original VA for Bosco are weird choices, but this won't really change my score of the game. Given that the list of jokes was relatively small, I felt some of the censored jokes would honestly ruin the pacing of the game. The list of censored jokes doesn't say what the actual jokes were, more what they were describing, but I feel some of them would just leave a weird taste in my mouth. Like it's a goofy world that is a parody of guns, violence, and all sorts of things, but having a random pedophilia or nazi joke thrown into the mix would probably taint my experience just for the fact they seem like shock humor jokes. Apparently they don't have any censorship in the second Sam & Max remaster so this long paragraph is essentially about nothing.

Either way, this game is a lot of fun. This game does have some point and click adventure logic which is a bit annoying, but the humor is on point and there are really fun ideas in this game!

Please ignore the bad reviews and play this game if you've never played Sam & Max!

Never met a point&click that didn't give me trouble with the puzzles, but fun dialogue and world. Loved how they did each chapter, and had returning settings.

If you ever find yourself getting into a pattern, this game with flip your thinking on your head sometimes.

Sam and Max save the world remastered is an amazing recreation of the original. Enhanced visuals, wide screen and lip sync make this a worthy edition to the franchise.

The first season of the traditional point’n’click with tons of absurd humor got a remaster. The graphics are much better (especially the new lighting that makes the environments look almost modern) and the adventures of the crazy detective duo are still funny as hell, but I think some jokes got too old for younger audience. Anyone who enjoys point and click adventures absolutely should not skip Sam & Max Save The World. The humor is unmatched in its cynicism and outlandishness. What other game has a statue of Lincoln come to life and fight one of the main characters for presidency, and child stars trying to help a television has-been take over the world? It’s surprisingly fresh over a decade later, and its timeless point and click gameplay delivers it all well. My inner teen is really happy Sam & Max has escaped the fall of Telltale.
