They have ruined a perfect game. The remaster looks amazing, the sound update from the heavily compressed original is great. But, I can not abide the censorship, nor can I accept the idea of changing jokes because somebody may get offended. I also dislike the new voice actor for Bosco. He is atrocious! He sounds worse than me trying to do a voice over, and I absolutely suck at it!

He sounds worse than me trying to do a voice over, and I absolutely suck at it!

I went into details on the multiple reasons why they have decided to censor a lot of the jokes on these three videos:

I go through all the offensive stuff on the comic, and show footage of "offensive" content from season 1 before the refund, proving that the developers never cared about the Sam and Max

I simply can not accept this. I have to say, unfortunately, that I will request a refund. Maybe Skunkape can learn to respect the original material, and keep the game as is, or stop remastering absolute classics like Sam & Max games.

Based on their responses in regards to the Voice Overs, and censored content, I will now refuse to buy season 2 and season 3, if they ever get remastered by them.

They need to learn that censorship, even if it is 0.1% of the content is bad. And changing the voice of a character because the actor doesn't look like the character he is playing is even worse.

Look on youtrube for these videos to show the cut content, and evidence of who or how Sam and Max really are and act:

The devs, led by controversial social justice warrior Jake Rodkin, maliciously went out of their way to ruthlessly censor the script of any of it's irreverent charm, which is commonly claimed to be the primary appeal of the classic 90's series "Sam & Max"

Unnecessary censorship. Wouldn't have minded if they had the option to switch to the original audio but as it's going now I'm not sure I'll care too much if they "add" on to the series.

I love Sam & Max, but it seems that the devs plain hate them. Cencored material, blatant lies, terrible pr. Lighting effects are good though, and it has an overall polish, but I can't forgive such terrible behaviour, recast of Bosco and removing the originals from Steam. You crack me up, little buddy!

Excellent graphics, would of been an amazing remake... Ruined by pathetic "censorship" that didn't need to happen. Lines have been removed that was in the original and Bosco's voice actor has been changed due to color (Isn't that in itself racist?.) The guys doing this remake must be wrapped in bubble wrap, a bunch of softie's that get offended by such a thing as humor. Lets pray theyExcellent graphics, would of been an amazing remake... Unfortunately the developers decided to censor jokes and fire a voice actor simply because the actor didn't match the color of the character.
    Wow, just wow.

Imagine South Park got censored. That's this game in a nutshell. A once great game ruined by the new modern cancer known as "political correctness".

Don't waste your money on this. Get the originals. I wouldn't recommend this if this was free.

The first season of the traditional point’n’click with tons of absurd humor got a remaster. The graphics are much better (especially the new lighting that makes the environments look almost modern) and the adventures of the crazy detective duo are still funny as hell, but I think some jokes got too old for younger audience. It’s great to see the return of Sam & Max Save the World, now looking fresh and ready to meet a new audience.

Anyone who enjoys point and click adventures absolutely should not skip Sam & Max Save The World. The humor is unmatched in its cynicism and outlandishness. What other game has a statue of Lincoln come to life and fight one of the main characters for presidency, and child stars trying to help a television has-been take over the world? It’s surprisingly fresh over a decade later, and its timeless point and click gameplay delivers it all well. My inner teen is really happy Sam & Max has escaped the fall of Telltale.
