Still, for the game’s low $1.99 price on Steam, it’s almost certainly worth a look if you’re tired of the same old thing and interested in a truly challenging, if a bit slow-starting, puzzler that requires real problem solving skills.

Rusty Lake Hotel is an ultra short, but difficult puzzle game, in which you have to kill hotel guests in the most macabre ways. Every room is full of riddles that will eventually get you to the answer how to perfectly murder your guest. The simple point and click system is great and the puzzles are very well thought through: absurdly excellent!

It's a perfect mobile game, much less enjoyable on big screens. Structured in riddles, the touch-and-go gameplay experience feels diminished from a more constant approach.

As the first commercial installment in on ongoing series, Rusty Lake Hotel comes with both story and gameplay reservations for newcomers, and only escape-the-room fans should bother checking it out.

I'm not usually into this genre, but the surreal loop that happens within the game is both captivating and utterly disturbing. The tasty game-play loop enthralled my taste buds but shocked my mind. You must creatively provide the dinner service from/to the guests of the hotel. While the graphics aren't world class, they express the ideas and the game fine enough. The puzzles can sometimes be a bit frustrating, but are mostly fun. If you are into point and click games, a morbid premise, and some tough puzzles, maybe this game would be worth a try! Full Review »
