    I don't see why people are rating down the game due to the community. Sure, most of the people who play this are utter c*nts, I agree, but the gameplay itself is fantastic for an alpha, and will continue to improve when worked on to the potential that it has. Find an empty server and mess around with it, build a massive base with some friends, practice and get to know the place before youI don't see why people are rating down the game due to the community.     Rust currently is somewhat buggy and still lacking features however it is still currently a great game.
    It has it's flaws like occasionally crashing (more on Mac, but I am testing both Mac and PC to get a good idea and to hopefully help the dev's), but those are to be expected during Alpha.

    It has it's flaws like occasionally crashing (more on Mac, but I am testing both Mac and PC to get a good idea and to hopefully help the dev's), but those are to be expected during Alpha.

    Many people may not like this game due to the PvP nature of it. Starting out you will find it very hard to survive as you need to get wood, food and preferably cloth all before being killed by somebody.
    Upon logging out your character will lay on the ground asleep and you can be killed during this time so if anyone has enough C4 you are pretty much guaranteed death while offline unless you have a great base or amazing hiding place.

    There are however servers hosted by players in which they can toggle PvP off (I myself have not played one of these yet as I don't find it appealing without the PvP aspect). They can also toggle off things like when you go to sleep your body will not be on the ground which can be good but at the same time you feel like it can make it a little easy in later stages of the game.
    I highly recommend finding people to play with as by yourself it can be extremely hard.

    Rust has so much potential and I expect we will see great things come from it because it is still so early in its life.
    If you aren't ready to drop $20 on Rust yet I would say you should check back in a couple of months and see how far it has progressed as I imagine it'll have a whole lot more by then.

    TL:DR: Rust is a great game with heaps of potential, but currently it is lacking features and does have the occasional bug as it is in Alpha. Saying that, it is still a great game so far.    … Expand

    This is a gritty survival minecraft fps game. Players are so ruthless they will kill you for the food from your mouth so they don't starve. Some people will hate this but I love it!! There have been several times I've been startled so much I jumped and I find myself spinning around to see if I'm being chased by a zombie or player at the sound of my own footsteps. Sick of getting killed on the road? Sneak through the grass. sick of getting your door kicked in? Builds a stronger door or hide your base in the mountains. Sick of attracting attention at night? Put out your camp fire. This game has a place for all types of gamers as long as they enjoy a game which requires the player and not the developer to overcome their problems!… Expand

    This game will get your heart pumping. You will experience emotion - good & bad. Hours, and hours of loving it, and hating it.

    All that, for the price of a movie.

    And Garry cares about his games... you know Garry's Mod _still_ gets updates?

    There is a huge learning curve that accompanies this game, for the first hour or so you may be completely confused on how to play, but that is the same with most games.     This game is very dependent on a number of factors, including server, friends, and overall attitude.

    Some servers that you get on in the game have more hackers than others as indicated below. It is sometimes a challenge to find a server with good staffing and admins, but once you do, this problem is almost non-existent. If you continue to have issues with it, do some research to find a good server, and try to befriend an admin or two so you know when they are on.

    This game is also very heavily group-based. If you find yourself a good set of friends to play with, it deters a lot of people from attacking you, as well as making starting off easier. Try to find some people to play with and your game play will increase tenfold.

    I also put attitude here, because you have to be okay with dying. If you have a problem with that it's not the game for you. People try to kill you. That's it. The game is kill or be killed, or hide long enough to get settled. If you cannot get started easily, try to find a friend or two to play with and it makes dying not as unbearable. Also, the friendlier you are to others, the friendlier they will be back to you (usually), with this in mind you can make allies and trade with others, but it all depends on what your mindset in-game is.    … Expand

    This game is so cool!Its in alpha and its better than alot of games that are out for play !Buy it i m having a great time with it!There is some hackers but dont get pissed just go on a server with active admins!Me and 7 of my friends play it allday long!I have 2000 hours on it!BUY!10/10

    I have to give this game a solid 10/10 great game-play fun with friends, but the only thing is if someone haves higher gear then you, you're head and hackers are a problem to if you pick a great server to find them to ban them great game to buy with 20 dollars.

    Rust in current state is more like some kind of MMO game rather then a survival. Atmosphere of the Legacy times is completely lost in endless farming simulator. Shooting and perfomance is SH*T.

    I would not recommend getting into rust as it currently stands (febuary 18th, 2018). while the concept is great and I admit to having several fun runs on various servers the game is overall enjoyable. right now there is FAR too much grinding, blueprints give clans massive advantages and a large minority of players are super experienced 1000+ hour tryhards who steamroll anyone who doesn'tI would not recommend getting into rust as it currently stands (febuary 18th, 2018). while the concept is great and I admit to having several fun runs on various servers the game is overall enjoyable. right now there is FAR too much grinding, blueprints give clans massive advantages and a large minority of players are super experienced 1000+ hour tryhards who steamroll anyone who doesn't know all the workings of the game.

    pros:
    -if you can get a team together it can be very rewarding
    -survival mechanics can be interesting.
    -you can get creative and build interesting bases.

    cons:
    -many players are 2000 hr+ tryhards. they genuinely ruin the game.
    -playing solo is next to impossible after the BP and upkeep updates
    -grinding is very extensive and unfun, you will be grinding 90% of the time
    -EXTREMELY hostile playerbase & community, expect very few positive encounters
    -resets at the end of every month wipe all progress.
    -nights are pitch black, meaning you will be stuck in your base half the time doing nothing.

    no one I know wants to play rust anymore because they are burnt out from how unrewarding it is as a game.    … Expand

    This game is a perfect survival game anda perfect with a political reference, is hardcore, but have noob players rating the game! i have 250 hours in game and dont want stop of play this game!

    It's a must have game. My spider senses are always dingling during my gameplay, the thrill of danger it's always near.

    The people in RUST are as realistic as they would be if it was real life, I already found people who run away from everything, people who beg for theire lives, people who will shoot you on sight, and people who will want to join you.     This game is everything you could want in a real apocalyptic survival game. First and foremost, it is in beta, any complaints about lag, glitches and the like are just silly because that's the whole point of a game going through alpha/beta, otherwise it would just be called released.

The concept is basic but great, you wake up with nothing (realistically no stat pants couldn't hurt haha) and every piece of resource you need you have to gather. One issue on some servers is that resources aren't spawning quickly enough or at all from what I hear, but that's because the game is in alpha... aside from spawning rates resource execution is great, maybe in the future they will reskin some rocks to look like discarded metal for realism, but as far as gameplay goes it's all the same. In a real survival situation you wouldn't find piles of a variety of resources naturally, just some wood and minerals. Animals are scarce in some areas and that's completely realistic too, unless you're on a farm, if there was real life apocalypse you would not see bears and boars walking around main paths constantly.

    The sleeping bag is a great feature. You can save a spawn point and use a metal door to hopefully keep your things safe. This allows you to actually form alliances and make friends, but doesn't add a "haven/neutral" point in the game which makes it so much more exciting.

    Lastly community discussion. Yes, the people are mean and vicious, and perhaps they are kids (I like how that's become an insult these days, it's a videogame for Christ's sake!). This is what makes this game great. Who expects there to be tons of people out there willing to help others and extend trust and a welcoming hand to total strangers in an apocalypse? Most people you run into will be desperate and selfish, some well run the other direction because they are scared, lots will become bullies because they can and a few will begin to band together in these beginning stages of hard times. This is what I've come across so far playing the game, and this is what makes it pee your pants scary...what I assume you were looking for when you bought this game.

    For anyone who wants a nice community with easy to gather resources and mobs that hit you for 3% of your health, play minecraft. For those who played for 30 mins or an hour and got tired of crap server lag and crashes, and glitchy gameplay just keep in mind it's in alpha and will get better. If you don't have the patience put it on the backburner for later enjoyment!    … Expand

I'm glad that zombies aren't a big part of the game, but I was quite surprised with just how well the radiation towns are balanced. They give you enough time to get in and out before death, but you can't stay long without pills or anti-rad clothing.

    WARNING: at this point there are plenty of exploits as IT'S AN ALPHA! Meaning, there are a lot of hackers and it can be really annoying when you are heading to an air drop and are suicide hacked, losing everything you're carrying. So be careful when going on long adventures until some of these hacks are rooted out. Aside from the hacks and the annoyance of trying to get a good thing going with lots of shoot on sight kids, this game is absolutely great. The only reason I'm not giving it a 10 right now is because I think there is lots of improving to do before the final release and I can't wait to see that product.    … Expand

    Amazing game after patched. Servers for both PVP or just building etc. Remember it is Alpha but I already feel that I've gotten my money worth. Very unique. Mixture of Minecraft and DayZ.

    Starting off naked you earn everything you use... down to medical supplies, food, clothing, and weapons. So when you earn these weapons you appreciate them, and you tread lightly.. which is another pro about this game you'll likely if ever experience anyone running and gunning. There is too much to lose.

    The greatest satisfaction is building your house and living in it, getting supplies running into weirdos and some cool people. Rust is the most authentic social experience you'll get in a game.

    Within a week of playing it the graphics drastically improved. Some reviews people had issue with the graphics, the graphics look fantastic and some models and animations are still in development.

    I once met a group of 5 guys and we had a campfire and cooked food and held it down at night as people passed through camp. I felt like I was actually camping... cool experience.

    Hackers suck. When you launch the game you get a huge warning of hacking and if caught you'll be kicked off the servers forever. Yet, the game is littered with hackers and they aren't shy about admitting it. Some can walk through walls, jump high, speed run, and auto-aim kill from 100 miles away. Keep telling yourself it's an Alpha and pray it gets better.

    I must say I've been playing games since the Atari 2600 and even in Alpha, I'd say that Rust is my most favorite game I've played.    … Expand

I do take off a couple points for this because despite being an excellent game, the community does slightly ruin it, and because the developers are a bit quiet on some subjects. Granted there is information posted to several sources (their own site, Trello, Facebook and Twitter,) they are not very active on the place that really started it all: the forum. I would give them a solid 9/10 if only the developers were a bit more active in talking through suggestions on the forum (and believe me, there are TONS of them.) What ends up happening is that people suggest ideas, and then sometimes you end up seeing it on the Trello.
    In a nutshell, this is an excellent game with a ton of potential, its only weak spot is the community and developer activity on the forum. Other than that, I highly recommend this game.    … Expand

    In all honesty, Rust has a long way to go. There's tons of hackers, limited content, and playing the global servers is a very bad idea. But they've completely reprogrammed the game from scratch to fix those things, in a reboot that will come out soon. The core game play and concept is incredibly unique and amazing. To really be worthy of the 9/10 review, they'll need a ton more content and anti-cheat, but it's pretty clear they're going to get there -- they've said many times the game is only 10% done.… Expand

    I give this a 8 because its early alpha (that isnt bad) but it delivers to the key points of a survival game, With bugs that drench the game (once again its in alpha) but im subtracting that due to its early stage I like playing it with friends alone is a bit boring. The graphics are OK I like the style setting of a remote island. Gameplay is very tense when you face life threatening situations.

    If the developers can keep coming out with updates on a regular basis then this game will go from good to great. I've almost got 20 hours of gameplay and I've enjoyed every minute of it playing with my friends.

    Awesome, Can't wait for beta. Mix of Minecraft and Dayz. For an alpha release this game is great. It has quite a bit of potential. You can build and fortify you base.

    I awoke in a meadow. There was a forest to the east, and some cliffs to the west. I saw what appeared to be a pig and I felt a bit hungry. I knew I had to eat, so I picked up a large rock and attempted to kill it. It ran faster than I could while swinging that rock. Somehow I had to fashion a better weapon for hunting or I knew I was going to starve. Suddenly it occurred to me, I couldI awoke in a meadow. There was a forest to the east, and some cliffs to the west. I saw what appeared to be a pig and I felt a bit hungry. I knew I had to eat, so I picked up a large rock and attempted to kill it. It ran faster than I could while swinging that rock. Somehow I had to fashion a better weapon for hunting or I knew I was going to starve. Suddenly it occurred to me, I could make one of those stone axes like the native Americans used to make. I took my large rock and slammed it against a large rock formation several times. Bits and pieces of stone flew off and some of them looked pretty wedge-shaped and sharp already. That will do. I tried the same thing against a tree trunk and was able to get several long chunks of wood from the tree. I fashioned a stone ax by tying a wedge of stone to one of the long slivers of wood. “She'll do in a pinch” I thought as I gave the ax a couple of test swings.

    Luckily the pig that I had chased before wasn't too far away. Apparently it had figured that I gave up the chase and went on rooting for, well, whatever it eats. I snuck up on the pig with my new ax in hand. When I was close enough, I bashed the pig right in the head. It took off seemingly unphased by the blow to the skull! The chase was on. It took eight blows to take that pig down! But finally I had some meat and other materials that I could use to make a variety of things to survive. I hunted down several more pigs in case I needed more food and material to last the next few days.

    It was cold out, and I had no proper clothing. I used my stone hatchet to chop some wood. Initially I thought about using the wood for a fire, but then I saw some dark clouds from the west approaching. I proceeded to chop enough wood for a small shelter, just to get me by for a few days. I picked a place high up in a rocky hill with plenty of cover to place my shelter; there were only a couple of access paths to it, and I figured I would build some barricades to block the paths for extra protection. I then built a small fire inside the shelter and laid down a sleeping bag that I had built with the pig skins from the pigs that I killed earlier. At least I could sleep with some comfort tonight.

    The next morning I woke and the fire I had started the night before was reduced to smoldering embers; but the meat that I had cooked was done and edible. I decided to go out and collect more resources; mostly wood. I was going to build a small house. Later that evening after a long day of hunting and woodcutting, I returned to the shelter to relax. I placed the meat that I had harvested through the day in to the fire to cook. I drifted off. I was awaken suddenly by a pounding sound and scratching on the shelter door. There were several moans and screeches outside. It was terrifying. What mad men were playing games with me? It was no beast, it was people! I figured that they were bandits, or crazy people or something. I quickly doused the fire so that they wouldn't see the glow through the cracks of my shelter; it was probably too late for that. I waited, and waited...the pounding and scratching went away. Was I safe? I didn't know.

    This game has incredible potential! It is, in my opinion, the best survival game in the making. The zombies aren't overwhelming, and the hunting, gathering, and building will keep you busy for hours!    … Expand

    Really enjoyed this game, found it to be very addictive. Would be very hard to play without a small group of friends along for backup though. Not sure about the direction the devs are trying to take this game in but at the moment its good.

    Writing this review after delevopers decided to ban a whole hardware brand in their crusade against cheaters, which is absurd. Stay away from this game. It is not worth it. The most toxic community you will ever meet, people will laugh at you and your problems and call you names while you did nothing wrong.     this game is a very fun game to play with friends but at the same time this game can get on youre nerves they still need to fix many things in this game but so far its a fun game to play with friends and its a great time waster i give this game an 88/100

    Rust is a first person survival game that pits you on an island with you schlong in the wind and a rock in your hands. I had a great time with this game at first. Mining, Chopping and even building. Then I found another player. I was so happy at first, i came up to them holding a torch since it's the 'international sign of piece'. I started jumping and getting happy. Then I pressed Push-to-talk down and saif "Hi". He said nothing... instead, he beared hsi rock at me and started hacking away. I was asking him what he was doing but all that I got in return was another hack in the back. But unlike Day-Z were the combat is polished enough and you can get geared up fast enough to warrant bandits fighting you being fun, early game rock fights just feel like a "ohhhhh MY GOD WTF". This is also the case because most of the time whoever gets first hit wins. This game is great, awesome concept BUT IT NEEDS TO BE REMODDLED. Seriously put consequences into killing people with melee weapons. I say if you try to kill with a melee weapon you should get fatigue or something idk but this early game rock **** is holding the REALLY AWESOME and fun late game back. Great game, needs polish and atm i would recommend buying it as there is a remodel being undertaken.

    Some days you'll love it others you'll hate it, BUT I keep coming back. Sometimes I'm on Rust for 10 minutes before I rage quit - other times I lose hours as I develop my house and scavenge my surroundings.

    Well worth getting in my opinion - if you want an easy ride then maybe it isn't for you.

    Iv'e Been Playing this Game before it was offered on Steam Lots of Fun yes Lots of Rageing to but its worth 20 bucks and offered me over 100's of hours of entertainment thats less then a good Movie at the Cinema.

    Ok it gets a 10/10 for me because the 6.3 is way too low for what this game delivers. 8/10 would be closer to the truth. Now my experience with this game was really good. I started the game with 2 irl friends ( i recommend playing it with friends is way more fun) and we had an absolute blast.     Most of the comments here are from a year ago or more. Now the game runs perfect and it's very fun. Nice graphics, not so good community, but in overall the experience is very enjoyable. If you want to survive here you have to RUN.

It also presents its lack of technical attention and high system requirement right into the platter. While the game may be doing well and works for groups of friends, Rust is not a general recommendation, especially since it is devoid of the most simple features a multiplayer game should have.

    Game looks like **** and is clunky as hell. Graphics are 2006-like, looks like Oblivion except it's smoother but the models, proportions and animations are as ugly. Want a good sandbox survival MMO go for Conan Exiles - unless you're a pleb who only play shooters, then stick to this poorly executed game while you wait for something more decent to show up in the market.

Personally don't understand why all games have to be so **** I came to this game hoping for inspiration and encouragement that the game industry is doing well because its a bit of a indie title and 76 went around saying it was gonna be a rust clone before it released buggy and broken... like this one. At least their halfway honest I guess. Don't buy. Not even on steam sale. I wouldn't even recommend playing for free because it is so frustrating, hurts the eyes and has no true depth or fun anymore.     Excellent game, not as much Survival as people can think, for now, it is mostly PvP and Loot oriented, Crafting system is simple, and base building is even more easy to use. Devs continue to do monthly updates to complete all missing and planned features, as well as fixing bugs as they come.

    This game was terrible in alpha and hasnt improved at all. I spawn and I'm already starving. Theres nothing to eat because the few scarce resources they put in the game get camp by no lifers. It feels like this game was the first attempt at something by a new team of game designers. Ones that should find a new profession.

    The development team is hard at work with lots of new and game changing updates. They are my favorite developers.
    The game has a great balance of casual and hardcore game play. The immensity and the panic and excitement that it brings are unparalleled compared to other survival games out there.

So, if you are the sort of person who enjoys tension in online PVP games, this should sound very good to your ears. And Rust honestly delivered in building that tense, insecure atmosphere in my first couple of hours. You start naked, with a piece of rock. You mine ores, destroy trees, build your first weapon and just try to survive. Any animal, any player is your potential murderer and players won’t hesitate to murder you and loot all your things.

    The more I played though, the more I observed how this is not a game “for me”. Even when you are offline, your base can be raided and everything you have can be stolen. The community is beyond toxic, but that’s kind of expected for this sort of game. Servers usually reset weekly, biweekly or monthly, preventing many players from everlasting slavery and giving everyone a chance to start on equal terms. But that comes with a caveat: All the benefits you earned by your grinding will be lost no matter what.

    Also, it should be mentioned that Rust offers some “lite” pay-to-win items. You can purchase things which appear to be only cosmetic, but do actually provide some gameplay advantages.

    Rust is a good game for people with a very specific taste in games. It achieves what it’s going for, but ultimately is not a game most people would be willing to invest their time in, including myself. If you are a solo player, stay away from Rust. If you have limited time to invest in one game, stay away from Rust. If a mature community is important for you, stay away from Rust. But if this type of extremely unforgiving game is what you and your group of friends are looking for, you may actually love it.

Unfortunately being a survival game seems to bring out the worse in players (ie - toxic player environment & seems to be getting worse). Being a new player (solo) going to a populated server be prepared for a lot of frustration (highly likely to be picked on - hard..). The game has reverted back to a system where you have to learn how to make virtually everything, making going solo even for experienced players extremely difficult. Offline raiding the norm with lots of players that seem to have nothing better to do with their time. Game can easily turn into a time 'black hole' trying to keep ahead of raiders. Having to get authorization for every trap in friends base (and living in a time zone 8 hrs. different than most friends - like me) can be a nightmare. Visually & functionally the game is quite good, unfortunately many of the players make it not worth the effort. Also (with friends help) can build a virtual Fort Knox but come the start of the next month all you'll have is a torch & a rock without any clothes or a home.… Expand

    this game is addicting and fun especially with friends. after the recent updates the game has gotten more optimized and if your game doesn't run good its probably because you don not have 16 gigs of ram.It gets more fun as you play because you get better and then your able to clap kids

    but if you want to build a base it's easy when you are not close to a monument but anyone one to be close to monuments to boost progression and have advantage against other players .

    So many of the negative reviews that I see on here come from players who have complaints about not being able to get a start on a server as someone who is new to the game. If you don't have the wherewithal to learn how to get past the initial barriers that may seem impossible at first, this game is just not for you. If you don't have the guts to play rust, then you shouldn't leave a scathing review because you weren't able to build a base right away after only a few hours of game play... Part of being a new player is dying... a lot.. Rather than dismissing the game, you should spend time on a low pop server to avoid the unforgiving nature of starting out solo on a server with 200 people on it. Welcome to rust BTW. Don't let the door hit you on your way out

    My only real issue with rust is the fact that there are the myriad of bugs that can sometimes affect the outcome of interactions between players (especially in pvp situations) - minicopter control issues, instantaneous death bugs, etc. It always sucks to lose your gear to some broken game mechanic. The community can be very toxic as well, but that's just something you have to get past if you want to enjoy this game.

    Yes - Rust brings out the toxics, the sociopaths, and the pvp chads that will leave you penniless, but under the surface there is a community of decent people that are willing to become allies or even friends if you earn their trust. If you are looking for a game with incredible building mechanics and pvp battles that will get your blood pumping, then play Rust.    … Expand

    Great game I had a lot of fun playing it the game has a lot of potential and endless fun, official servers are only for big clans because solo players are not able to survive. Anticheat does not work at all.

    There hasn't been any major PvE content or new gun in years and what's already there is hardly working or balanced.
    The survival mechanics are entirely neglected and easily ignored.
    Every update makes the game worse in various aspects or flops so hard that people forget it even exists after a week.

    The developers are a self-published small indie studio and they HAVE a public testing environment to throw new ideas at but they don't utilize it at all.
    In fact they have only just recently (April 7th 2022) started collecting player analytics with that all but confirming that they had only surface level knowledge of how people play the game really puts the past 9 years of updates and missing balance patches into perspective.

    Changes are small and always out of left field it's often questionable if they are working on the game at all or spending all their time on a new project.
    It takes actual years of constant nagging for the developers to fix glaring issues with them seemingly not understanding the problem in the first place.
    This looks like a lack of passion and direction.

    Rust has only made it this far because of its unique blend of core mechanics and the fact that a highly punishing game like this attracts a player base that isn't easily scared off by 1 bad change a month.
    Of course those unnoticed monthly bad changes stack up and I'm confident in saying that the game is in a much worse state now than it was 2 years ago.    … Expand

    Neat concept. Gathering and building is fun, but the game is buggy and unfinished. Cheaters and hackers are rampant and break the game. It's basically unplayable until they address it. Skip this game...

    This game had me hooked initially, and I played the hell out of it. The very nature of the game design though can be quite frustrating if you're not playing with a group of friends as you'll be mercilessly killed on sight over and over and that can just suck all the fun out of the game.     As a survival, Rust has this very unique concept that mixes farming, base building and defense, finding food, building guns, and using them to kill rivals on the same server as you. Farming is definitely not my cup of tea, but it is necessary to access the other, much more entertaining aspects of the game. What is wonderful about Rust is the size of the maps, whole worlds where you can tryAs a survival, Rust has this very unique concept that mixes farming, base building and defense, finding food, building guns, and using them to kill rivals on the same server as you. Farming is definitely not my cup of tea, but it is necessary to access the other, much more entertaining aspects of the game. What is wonderful about Rust is the size of the maps, whole worlds where you can try to hide or, on the opposite side, to build gigantic bases to mark your territory and dare others to try and contest it. In this sense, Rust gives all its flavour when, after hours of grinding and crafting, you can defeat an opponent trying to raid you, or better, achieve a successful raid yourself.

    Unfortunately, reaching this point will be highly dependent on the server where you play, and the luck you have not to cross the path of already well-installed players on the server. Because in my opinion, Rust has one major flaw: it is deeply anti-noob. I don't know any other game that is so hostile and not welcoming towards new players, and this is inherent to the mechanics of the game itself: when you start on a new server, you start with nothing. If other players have played 20 hours on this server, they already have a base, good weapons, and if they happen to find you they will just kill you, even if you're a harmless, naked peon. And don't count on other players' mercy: kills don't happen every minute in the game, so if you are found in the nature, it's too appealing to kill you.

    So as a new player, you will be killed all the time, either resetting your progress on the server, or "just" drastically reducing its speed, if you were lucky enough to manage to store a few things in a safe place that you can reach back, before dying. And this pinnacle of the snowball effect is part of the core mechanics of the game: the newer you are, the least likely you are to make progress. This principle is against my concept of games. I am not saying people cannot enjoy Rust. If you are a highly competitive person and willing to endure hours of frustration before reaching the core of enjoyment of the game, you can go ahead. But on top of that, remember this is a persistent environment game, meaning you can lose everything you have even when you don't play.

    Rust is a game that you should play all the time, or never. As someone who enjoys playing different games and my personal life, I have made my decision between the two.    … Expand

    Good cooperative survivor. Of the minuses after pumping the entire server, people leave it and you have to go to another server and start busy.
