    Horrible game, with sellout developers! They betrayed their customers and now have been bought off by Epic Games! Rocket league is just another piece of garbage that has once again been peddled to gamers as a trojan horse - buy the game on steam and they sell your data to epic games.

    I've been playing this game for 5 years now, and this is probably the most well made-and-unique at the same time, game I've ever played. No other game has the concept of adding on random stuff to change your player skill. Throughout the progression of getting to the top rank you learn these new weird crazy 'mechanics' that change the entire game for you, ex. (Wave Dashing, Air Dribbling,I've been playing this game for 5 years now, and this is probably the most well made-and-unique at the same time, game I've ever played.     I'm late to the scene, but i am hooked! I didn't get a chance to start playing until it went free to play, but the game has been pretty amazing. I'm only a gold league but i'm learning new ball tricks and skills everyday.

    Rocket League came up with a great idea. Throw cars on the field and then play football with them. Maybe I'm not a big football fan, but the mullet is great here and you don't even need a friend. I have often made do on my own, but maybe it will be different for you. I don't play the game today, so I just hope that what I'm writing here is still valid. The last time I turned on the game, it was quite different than I remembered.     Maybe this could be good, but if I have in LoL, CS:GO and some other games 60 ping and in Rocket League 500 it's a **** joke. This game is unplayable

    Most overrated game i've ever played, It's really boring, even with friends. The game is so repetitive, boring and toxic that it made me get bored after 2 hours. Unfortunately, i forgot to close the game when I was afk and when I came back, I had 1 hour too much over the refund limit.

    It is simply a football game with cars, which despite being simple, can be very complex to master. The game is extremely addictive, and fun, you play hours, hours, and more hours without getting tired, and when you close the game because of anger, it doesn't take long for you to want to go back and redeem yourself. The customization of the car is incredible, the differentiated are great, and the community is not 100% bad, you will find great players.

    But the game is not perfect, you rarely get good items for your car for free, you only get item designs, that you have to pay to build, and that’s kind of boring. You are dependent on missions for a chance to get some good item, and fails, and this is often frustrating. Another irritating factor is the tournaments that, in themselves, are good, but they happen only once a day, and if you miss the time, it is only after 24 hours that you can enter again. You wait 1 day to enter the 3 x 3 tournament, and there is a guy in your team who is inactive, he is sent off and replaced by someone to balance the game? NO, you will lose because of him. Waiting 24 hours to be put in a game with an inactive guy who will make you lose in the first round.

    Those are the points that irritate me in the game, but most of all, I recommend you to play.    … Expand

    Love it, it's a time killer must have. Played it both on PS4 and PC and I'm quite satisfied in both platforms. Easy matchmaking and fun games.

    This game is ass, super lazy and boring. I would rather play the WWE games than this uninspired piece of **** Only fun if you really get good and play competitive, but no sane person would ever do that. I only got it because it was suddenly free, yet i still want a refund.

    This game is bad, community is horrible, and their support team is a joke, you're treated like a pig and no one cares, if you speak up against other mishabits by players you get banned immediately, horribie community handling, happy at least that its no longer on steam, should be removed from any other platform aswell, disgusting game

More importantly, it is still a very fun skill game with absolutely incredible mechanics for a game with such 3D graphics and relative freedom in the maps of the game.

    The only problem is the outstanding toxicity of    I find this game extremely enjoyable and time-suckingly-fun. I have spent over 600 hours in this game trying to reach the skill ceiling, and I still haven’t gotten there. More importantly, it is still a very fun skill game with absolutely incredible mechanics for a game with such 3D graphics and relative freedom in the maps of the game.

    The only problem is the outstanding toxicity of the players in multiplayer, ESPECIALLY mid-tier ranked competitive matches. Beware for kids, turn off voice AND text chat if you want a peaceful experience. Things get heated.

    Rocket League is one of the biggest games of 2020. The story is amazing the graphics are amazing the guns are amazing and most of all this game is amazing. This is a single-player story-based game you play as Jakob Harrison. You go on an adventure of self-discovery and revenge. Jackson Pig Breath killed your friend Theodore and you being Jack Robinson have to go and find Jackson and killRocket League is one of the biggest games of 2020.     TOP game for in between, to lean back, connect the controller and enjoy.

    This game offers a roller coaster of emotions, good graphics & performance, customizable vehicles, normal, ranked and also FUN modes.

    The best game for me.
    But thx to EPIC I cant play anymore.
    562,24 € and 1800 hours spent in the game. FOR NOTHING.

    I wont make an EPIC Account just to play the game. I bought it on steam and will not add another launcher.

This game has no game breaking bugs, and the fact that everything is server-sided made me encounter no cheaters at all in 200 hrs of game play, which makes me think that i will never find one.     I just don't like it and need to vent my spleen. I find it very toxic and the novelty of the only game mode really worth playing (3v3) wears off super quick. Thank goodness it's free-to-play. Could you imagine wasting money on this?

    Nice fun casual game but it is mostly based on luck the skill is minimal , i don`t see it as a PC esport game , maybe with a console controller but with mouse and keyboard is way harder to do aerial moves. Great optimization and no lag for me mostly play casual . Maybe they can add a more realistic gravity mode so the car will only be able to do small jumps and reduce the hang in the air time to make it more realistic. Some players use some dumb strats like passing the ball to the center of their own goal post when they are defending or as an attaker they pass the ball to their own goal post:)

    Snatched by Epic Games, now forces you to make an Epic account to play. Epic is notoriously awful with even the most basic of things, security is a big issue, and I'm not accepting being suddenly forced to make an account with this extremely scummy company in order to play a game I've owned for years.

    Epic's not getting my details. Tencent can burn in hell, and so can Tim Sweeney.

    Rocket league in it's prime days was a 10/10 title but I had to reorganise my thoughts after Psyonix sold it to Epic.
    After this "shift" in "ownership", price and DRM you have to sit through a painfully long and insulting cutscene that they sell as a tutorial and then they notify you that you MUST HAVE an EGS account in order to play it as you would've normally done.
    You then have to    Rocket league in it's prime days was a 10/10 title but I had to reorganise my thoughts after Psyonix sold it to Epic.
    After this "shift" in "ownership", price and DRM you have to sit through a painfully long and insulting cutscene that they sell as a tutorial and then they notify you that you MUST HAVE an EGS account in order to play it as you would've normally done.
    You then have to accept EGS TOS, which they won't let you read in-game before agreeing, and after this you can finally play the game.
    It's not that bad you might say, but for someone who spent money and time on this game it can be quite irritating and insulting, as EGS didn't even thank the player for having supported the game when it was on Steam.
    EGS has also messed up the servers as I spent 30 minutes trying to set up a private tournament, only to get the "Could not connect to server" error.
    After all the game was pretty nice but you had to practice a lot to get the hang of it.
    It's a real shame that this game is going down the drain (imo) as it was fun to play competively and with friends.
    so for the rating: 7/10 pre Epic

    Was a good game up until Epic bought them out - now it's a MTX riddled mess with server problems, match making issues, and forces you to make an Epic account (Epic's store has many security issues related to identity theft in China - very well documented). Very sad to see what's happened to a once great game.

Пришли эпик геймс, а вместе с ними и лаги на серверах (живу и так далеко от Европы), все мои купленные машины теперь бесполезны, они ничего не стоят. Изменили качество и редкость предметов. Теперь многие из них тоже ничего не стоят. В игре ухудшилось коммьюнити, в рейтинговых играх теперь регулярно люди ливают прямо посреди игры, потому, что они новенькие, им без разницы на команду. Рокет лига со своим уютным коммьюнити умирает прямо у меня на глазах ото дня ко дню... Цены на валюту и предметы стали скупердорогими. Спасибо, Rocket League 2015-2020. RIP… Expand

    From 16th September players on Steam platform are unable to enter game unless they connect to some other niche platform. So this is dealbreaker as initially game didint required this.

There’s been a consistent trend of updates solely focused on coercing players to actively engage in their microtransactions. Now that it’s gone F2P, this change has become even more damnable. They’ve now explicitly gone back on their initial promises and are preying on player data as we are being railroaded into accepting hidden terms of service, now that players are uneable to play without an Epic Games account. Epic has now fully integrated the Fortnite system into Rocket League, and it’s pathetic to see. Hold off on this game and let’s wait and see when this predatory system reveals yet another EA. Let’s hope our laws will continue to evolve to actively protect the safety and integrity of videogame players, if only to preserve what’s left of the interactive experience as an artform.… Expand

The new UI is disgustingly UGLY. The loss of ~100fps on a Ryzen 5 1600x and gtx 2070 super after this update is UNACCEPTABLE. Do not ever let somebody scare you away from this game by complaining about the community. I have a toxic ish experience maybe 1 in 15 games. All I remember is diamond to now being C3, I only solo queue in ranked. And it's fine! Those ranks are supposed to have the worst toxicity. There are always going to be rude people in competitive games. If that bothers you and you don't actively take the precautions to avoid them, you shouldn't play competitive games.     Incredible game! You’ve probably heard it from others but it truly is for everyone. Easy to play yet difficult to master. The best part is that even watching pros and content creators play the game it still makes me want to play even five years after it’s been out and that’s what a game should make you feel.

    Fun game to shout and swear at your friends while playing. Playing this online is the closest I've felt to my memories of sitting on the couch playing Melee and Double Dash with my school friends.

    Thats a cool game for chilling at midnight with your friends but there is another think to ı should say its goddamn hard game to play,if you want enjoy you should do lot of practice and improve urself because you are going to see flying cars.

    Excellent game. I can only add one thing compared to the other reviews: although there is an emphasis on competitive play, you can enjoy 99 % of the game by only playing casual games. This is a important aspect for me as I do not always want to invest time in ranked games.

    Super fun game in any case, and if you love cars and/or football you will be thrilled.

    Rocket League captures the feeling of a soccer match far better than FIFA, PES or any other soccer title out there thanks to it's action-packed, physics-based gameplay where all the players on the field are actual people. The skill-curve is perfect for a competitive game and there are no glitches/exploits to take away the fun. This is hands-down the best sports title available on any platform.

    If you're playing with friends, this is a great game which rewards time put into it with improved skill. If you're playing with random people online, you will have to contend with A) Huge amounts of toxicity and B) Vast numbers of brain dead players who work against you even if they're on your team.

    Both points COULD be greatly improved if the developers were interested. They are not.

    It can be a really Fun game but sometimes the physics are just way to inconsistent! For example: You drive straight into the ball and one time it flies up into the air and another time it goes straight on!
    Plus it needs a free cam!
    So it would be ok for 10€ but for 20€ its not good enough in my opinion.

    Its the only multiplayer game I still play today. It has a really big skill cap and learning curve and its just perfect game. Sadly devs are making some bad decisions right time and its ruining the game.

    I'll start off with saying I haven't been this into a game since Call of Duty MW2 came out, it's very easy to lose many hours in this game, the amount of mechanics involved is huge and each one fun to learn about, positioning and game sense are also super important, this game really is the cliché 'easy to get into, hard to master'. After 1,000+ hours i'm still learning things I didn't know about which is the cool thing about this game, there's pretty much no ceiling cap on skill.

    Practicing training packs and freeplay are the best bet for getting better, spend a few hours working on your mechanics consistently and you'll see improvement real quick. The competitive side of this game is equally fun but you will come across toxic people like in every other competitive game. The game has a great e-sports scene, that's proper entertaining, especially RLCS, that keeps the game going.

    5 minute games is perfect for someone who doesn't want to commit too much time to playing and just wants to play some casual quick games, but for competitive the hours really do need to be put in to get good, its not something that happens over a few weeks, but you will see improvements which is what motivates you to get better.

    There's no boring moment when playing Rocket League since there's only a few players on the pitch. Also great in-game music directly from Monstercat that's updated every few weeks! The game has nice maps with different game modes that keep you busy if you wanna switch things up, and a strong amount of community maps in the workshop to test your ability or just have some fun in. The game has seasonal events that give you the opportunity to get new items while just playing which is nice. There is a Rocket Pass in the game which is the same as a Battle Pass in other games that gives some cool items, although some items are a bit uninspired. Also a new introduction of a blueprint system to replace crates and the inclusion of an item shop that has pretty expensive items wasn't the best thing they could have done.     On the outside Rocket League seems like it's just car soccar, but it's so much more than that. I'm not a football/soccer fan but I still very much enjoy this game. RL is action packed, fast, fun with friends and is also very competetive. There's always an aspect where you can improve and this makes it so much to play because youre a new player each game!

    I continue to play this year after year. Such a fun, satisfying game. If you are competitive, like soccer or hockey and love skill based games, then give it a shot. I will continue to play it for years to come.

    Whenever I find myself lost in a doldrum of games to play or things to do, I plug my controller in and open this game up.. and hours pass by. It is so easy to get addicted to this game. A true "just 5 more minutes!" winner

The same idea is the cornerstone of Rocket League – one of those jewels that do not care for bells and whistles (though it does look great) and Kevin Spacey in the credits, instead focusing on squeezing every last drop of fun out of a simple concept.
