Jul 13, 2020With a grand number of game modes, maps, and interesting characters with unique abilities alongside their personalized explosives, Rocket Arena certainly has more than enough personality to set itself from the pack.
-
Jul 13, 2020Rocket Arena doesn't have the most inspired and original characters or settings, but it does have 10 well-designed characters, three fun modes and solid gameplay that keeps you hooked throughout your frantic games. It's fun for fun, and many times we don't want more than that.
-
Jul 15, 2020Rocket Arena might seem like a game you already know… but it isn’t. It’s actually something different within the shooter genre, and if you’re tired of playing games that just feel the same, we think you should give it a try.
-
Sep 12, 2020Rocket Arena has a lot of potential, and the game is worth paying attention to at least because of the original mechanics. It is a high-quality and interesting project that is definitely worth trying for fans of online shooters.
-
Jul 23, 2020Rocket Arena is a fantastic game with well-crafted shooting mechanics and a diverse mode lineup that manages to be both fun in short bursts and long play sessions. There’s more tweaking that can be done to make it a more robust experience as the roster is lean at launch, but what’s here is great and every character manages to feel different from one another. The mix of shooting and platforming skills helps make it a great gateway shooter for those who may not otherwise enjoy the genre and its quick pace ensures that no match is ever boring. The graphical design is sharp, but the soundtrack could use some work even with strong sound design that helps amplify the effects of your rocket-filled arsenal.
-
Jul 15, 2020Rocket Arena is a lot more than it may seem on the surface. As a 3v3 connoisseur (i.e. someone with only 2 friends) Rocket Arena is the one I'll be sticking with.
-
Jul 13, 2020Rocket Arena is an extremely fun game with a commitment to the long term and the seasons to continue increasing its online community.
-
Jul 13, 2020Rocket Arena turns an old standby into a new take on shooters, and what's lost in the translation is made up for with easy-to-learn fun.
-
Jul 13, 2020Rocket Arena carves out a unique pocket of the shooter market with its colorful heroes and cartoonish violence.
-
Game World Navigator MagazineSep 3, 2020Rocket Arena is a promising junior, but will it get to the major leagues? With the right amount of balance adjustments and content patches, it’s totally feasible. [Issue#247, p.52]
-
Aug 2, 2020Rocket Arena is the best kind of mindless fun.
-
CD-ActionOct 15, 2020Rocket Arena is surprisingly fun and addictive for a simple, non-violent title for younger gamers. It would’ve been a blast if there were more people playing it, but a couple of weeks after the release its servers are pretty much desolate. [10/2020, p.74]
-
Jul 17, 2020Rocket Arena has potential, it’s colorful and way more fast paced than its competitors, but at the moment the overall experience is flawed by balancing issues. Recommended if you love to be constantly under pressure and willing to forgive some game design mistakes common to every PvP in the earliest stages . Demanding players may want to wait for future updates but be careful: the more you wait, the more experienced players you will find when you get in the arena.
-
Jul 13, 2020Rocket Arena is a blast with its unique take on explosive arena action, colourful cast and an ambitious game plan, albeit one that plays its payload cards a little too safely.
-
Jul 19, 2020Rocket Arena does what it promises. Final Strike Games delivered a shooter that feels different from the rest of what is available on the market thanks to original mechanics that make it a perfect mix between an arena shooter and a party game.
-
PC GamesJul 24, 2020Rocket Arena is a nice snack, but not much more. The maps are too little, the gunplay doesn’t quite feel right and there is too much a focus on microtransactions. The graphics are nice, however and the ten characters all feel very different.
-
Jul 22, 2020Rocket Arena is a competent game with a clear sense of what a 3v3 rocket match should be from a technical perspective, but it furtively struggles to find an entertaining hook to keep players coming back. In today’s world of countless shooters, it’s destined to be forgotten.
-
Jul 20, 2020Ultimately, while it is fun in small doses, Rocket Arena feels itself like an alternate mode in a larger game. It's bright and colourful but as a standalone experience it feels a little too limited and imbalanced to lead the pack
-
Jul 14, 2020Rocket Arena is a worthy hero shooter with an all rocket approach that's pretty fun, but it still lacks a campaign, the PvE mode is dull and it feels like you're playing in a funpark. Worst of all is the feel that you pay for what feels like a free-to-play.
-
Jul 13, 2020Rocket Arena is an energetic new take on the arena shooter that revels in and rewards skillful play with its projectile weaponry. There's breadth to the cartoony character line up, and while their varied weapons and abilities muddy the purity of the classic rocket arena concept, you'll quickly find a favourite and get to enjoy the frantic scrapping of the game's various modes.
-
Jul 13, 2020An accessible, lightweight competitive shooter. Though it's a little thin in its current state, this is a solid start for what will hopefully become a lively and dynamic game as its season pass gets underway.
-
Jul 13, 2020Rocket Arena is a fun and easy to learn shooting game. The fast pace of the game won't suit everyone but strengthens its identity. Despite lacking a depth of lore and strategy, the crossplay option can convince players to pay the price.
-
Jul 13, 2020Rocket Arena checks all the boxes regarding what games as a service need in order to succeed. It boasts frenetic gameplay, polished mechanics and a wide range of characters; this game will bring you amazing moments, even if it lacks innovative elements.
-
Aug 5, 2020It's not all doom and gloom as the actual gameplay is fun and the characters at least have their own unique weapons and play styles. This could be one of those games that ends up being a breakout hit and, years down the line, is filled with tons of content and has a big player base. Unfortunately I can only review what I have now. While the game is fun, I felt like I did and saw everything the game had to offer in about an hour.
-
Jul 13, 2020By stuffing the title with content to justify its unattractive business model, Final Strike Games loses sight of what makes its game salt. It’s nice to chain clashes in Deathmatch, but the rest of the content goes astray and transforms the experience in chaos that is often unreadable and sometimes frustrating. Too bad, because its concept and its mixture of influences hit the target when the stars align.
-
Jul 21, 2020Rocket Arena's approach to being a more approachable shooter, from its colorful, whimsical characters to its forgiving rocket launcher mechanics, makes it easy to appreciate at first glance. Its frenetic mix of explosive-based shooting and easy-to-understand character abilities let you start having fun fast, but its lack of depth and uninteresting modes don't maintain the momentum. Rocket Arena undermines its main rocket-jumping hook by making the strategy meaningless amongst its other mechanics, and its shooting grows stale in the process. There's limited fun to be had with its frenetic and fast shooting action, but it's lacking strong lasting appeal.
-
Jul 21, 2020Rocket Arena is a dull misfire that fails to compare even to EA's own Garden Warfare franchise. A few original ideas are lost behind a forgettable art style, small maps and questionable gameplay mechanics.
-
Aug 17, 2020The truth is that Rocket Arena is in a lot of trouble, because it doesn’t offer enough to warrant the price tag. The more concerning thing is that if it does indeed go free-to-play, it isn’t unique enough to lure people away from the plethora of other service games that are more established, more varied, and ultimately more fun. Rocket Arena may be worth a look for free, but otherwise, I’d suggest you stick to the games you’re excited about.

Jul 13, 2020Rocket Arena is enjoyable enough, just relatively average overall. It’s the type of game you’d mindlessly play for a few hours when unmotivated to do anything else, before loading up Overwatch for a better rocket feel. It's still fun to jump in with friends — but maybe only for an evening or two.
