SchalkWNov 2, 2009Great Story, very impressed by the graphics and mouse support(first Resident Evil to do so.). Overall a VERY enjoyable game. Can't wait for the Next one.

ShaunHensonOct 9, 2009This isn't going to be a classic anytime soon, but it does deliver a fun game time experience. It is a similar game to Resident Evil 4, but it doesn't contain as much depth nor does it have as much puzzles, which makes Resident Evil what it is known for, and this is why i am giving it an 8/10.

ErikV.Sep 17, 2009Great port, good to see that Capcom have learned from the horrendous RE4 port on the controls. Still, I have to give this an 8 due to 2 things: 1. The controls still aren't quite good. 2. If you've played RE4, the deja-vu level is almost excruciating. If you can manage to get yourself past it, you'll find a very enjoyable experience.

akJan 6, 2010While not a bad game, Resident Evil 5 is a step down from it's predecessor, Resident Evil 4, in just about every respect (except of course the eye-candy.) Only buy this game if you plan on playing co-op with a buddy, it's just not that good in single player.

Jul 26, 2011A PC port done right. Awesome graphics, great gameplay. It takes a bit of time to get used to the game flow (a run-and-gun-shooter it ain't), but once you're in there, scrapping for ammo and shoving back horrible creatures from the depths of hell ...
Immediately started a new run after I finished it, which does not happen a lot! Buy this, it's worth it even at a non-discounted price. -

ChristopherBSep 20, 2009Resident Evil 5 is sucha fun game to play. The graphics are really good. Gameplay is great. Sound and music is also good. The storyline is very good. And the thing that makes this game so great is ofcoure the Co-op. I gave it 9 becouse everything is just perfect with this game, but I gave it - 1 becouse of the not so long campaign. Otherwise its awsome. Buy it!!

Overall, if you can put up with DRM and GFWL headaches, and don't mind risking losing your save games and progress - or at least having them tethered and more complicated than they need to be - Resident Evil 5 for the PC is probably the version to get.
-
It may not be a radically new Resident Evil 5, but the PC version of the game still manages to hold its own with an improved control scheme and extra Mercenaries mode.
-
Hands down, a great adaptation of a great game.
