Keşke iki kişi beraber ilerleme, karakter değiştirme falan olmasaymış (çünkü bu mekanikler kötü yaşlanmış). Bu oyun da bir efsane olabilirmiş. Bu yüzden Resident Evil 1 çok daha iyi.

    It's absolutely stunning game.

Pros.: - Further development of the original game story. 0, 1, 2 are now very alike and follow the same style and narrative pattern that makes them iconic, great, interesting and immortal. - The gameplay is very smooth. There are no spots you feel "WTF is that". - Music could be better but follows the same style as RE1. - Characters and their stories.

    - Characters and their stories. It's makes so much sense now with Enrico.

    Cons.:
    - I guess the game is pretty short. But that's the only cons.

Also, I think the story may be a bit better regarding Billy's departure. But we have what we have.

    Recommend to everyone. Unlike RE6.

I returned to Resident Evil 0 HD Remaster Last month in a game marathon trying to beat all the numbered Resident Evil Games before RE Village came out. This game definitely shows is age however it was really nice getting to return to that story. Camera angles do make it hard to play however the game doesn't lose points for that because that is all part of the survival aesthetic. You could return and collect things. Tensions are high because you never know what might be around the corner.

I think if they were to remake this with the new engine, it would be really enjoyable.

Great controls, great Storyline, the music, the ambientation, Rebecca... Definetely a must play, it's one of the best "old" resident evils, would rank it right next to the first one, it's just a great experience overall, eventhough the hard mode is REALLY hardcore, don't try hard mode before getting experience with the game.

I love resident evil series, i dunno why the 0 game is not very loved like others but this game has innovated with the elimination of item boxes, this means that is more difficult do speedruns and will need a little more strategy to beat the game without backtracking a lot, is also the only game of the ancient gameplay where "hard" is really f*ck*ng hard, i love this game more than 3 entry.

All the core game play that makes the early games in the series great. Has a great story and atmosphere. Only thing holding it back are some inventory issues which result in some frustrating moments. Well worth playing for fans of the series.

RE 0 Remaster shares the same fundamentals with the original Resident Evil, apart from the different story and some new unique gameplay aspects, however the enjoyment is dragged down by some rather idiotic decisions when it comes to game's overall difficulty increasement compared to the original.

RE 0 Remaster shares the same fundamentals with the original Resident Evil, apart from the different story and some new unique gameplay aspects, however the enjoyment is dragged down by some rather idiotic decisions when it comes to game's overall difficulty increasement compared to the original.

The idea to give the player 2 characters to play as at the same time was intriguing, but has its issues. When you engage with enemies together, the AI controlled partner not always will assist you, even though you have set their behaviour to agression. The puzzle solving that requires both Billy and Rebecca to cooperate went more smoother. As they both get seperated, you need to be extra careful as you'll be facing enemies alone for a while, aswell as you need to be smart about items and which character gets to have priority with them. Item management can be a mixed bag itself. No more you need to store items in boxes at specific locations, you can just drop them around levels where ever you like it, but it doesnt solve the back tracking completely, as you'll probably need to travel back to earlier locations to pick up items needed for progression somewhere else.

Enemy encounters is where the game lost it's footing for me. Several of the enemy designs are just dreadfully unbalanced, like the mimics, zombie monkeys and crawlers. The mimics especially are some of the most stupidly designed enemies i've seen in any game. With their ranged attack, movement speed and grabbing, compared to the clunky and slow controls of your character, it makes these encounters utterly irritating and frustrating, not challening. Their placement in levels is idiotic aswell, as you may beat one of them only for a second to show up out of nowhere moments later when you're low on health and ammo, and they take too much damage before going down, meaning you'll be f*cked. The zombified monkeys can take 2 point blank shotgun blasts before they go down, i mean really ? There's a point in the game where you run in with a group of these monkeys and it's pretty much a death sentence if you're going to fight them. Luckily you can skip it and leave them be...after learning, by dying a couple of times, that you can skip it that is. Some of the main and mini boss battles dont fair any better, the finger claw bastard especially drove me almost nuts first time around, and the big bat mutant battle was ruined by the developer genius idea to throw in crap load of smaller bats that drain away your health, ammo and annoyingly can take your attacks meant for the boss, acting like a living shield.

Atleast the story was mostly pleasureable, as it was intriguing to experience events that lead up the original game's events. Though some of the cutscenes with Dr. Marcus opera singing were a bit too ''japanese'' even by my standards, nothing bad per sey, just weird. Billy and Rebecca wouldnt be my first pick as my favorite Resident Evil duo, but i still enjoyed the dynamic and unconvential comradery between them throughout the game.

The world design was a noticeable step up compared to original RE and i couldnt tell if the backgrounds are pre-rendered or actually real time. Overall art style was very solid and just as well created was the atmosphere of the RE 0's game world, that, while nothing really happened around you, managed to still keep you on your toes.

As much as i dreaded fighting those lame enemies in RE 0, even after all that suffering it's a still a very decent game, but could've been definetly better if for more balanced enemy designs.

Great story and atmosphere killed by wretched and vile game-play.
I went through a lot of games, and I can’t call myself “crooked-handed”, but this is the only game that made me change the difficulty level to easy. Not because of the difficulty itself(I went through difficult games, including horror like Evil Within, or Dead Cells or Salt and Sanctuary etc.), but because of the dullness

I went through a lot of games, and I can’t call myself “crooked-handed”, but this is the only game that made me change the difficulty level to easy. Not because of the difficulty itself(I went through difficult games, including horror like Evil Within, or Dead Cells or Salt and Sanctuary etc.), but because of the dullness of the game-play. Yeas, I understand original game of 2002, it's Ok and I understand all fans of Resident Evil... but now we have a remaster of 2016 and except simple graphics change it was necessary to change at least the most “flat” decisions of the original game in order to ask for it money again in 2016:
    1) A billion of doors. I spent more time on opening and closing doors, overcoming stairs, ladders, ropes and elevators, than on the game itself. It's just stupid not to let skip this or speed up a bit. There were already many games with such opportunities by 2016. Particularly juicy sensation from elevators: loading the elevator door entrance - separate time inside the elevator - loading the elevator door exit.
    2) A ridiculously tiny inventory. Seriously?! 6 items? only 12 for two persons? I understand that it is about horror + survival, but the whole idea is simply trampled into the dirt by the fact that you are given a full range of weapons, and even various ammunition for a grenade launcher ...and at the same time, a gun and a grenade launcher occupy two cells at once, medical spray do not stacked up(and a Molotov cocktail - yes) and all "plot subjects" like keys are also put into a common inventory, and not, for example, as a lighter or a “grass suitcase”. On all difficult level, it’s very stupid to limit the very ability to carry things, rather than the difficulty of finding them. Together with a billion doors, it takes a huge amount of time to run like an idiot from location to location to move all the things and ammo found closer to the "front of the game".
    3) Thousands of corners, screens and foreshortening. Yes it's a thing from original game and part of game-play, so it's a general disadvantage for both versions: It is extremely inconvenient to be in a room with enemies, not to see where these enemies are at all, what they are doing, especially if the enemy can jump, especially if your character moves slowly and does not really know how to dodge. It is extremely inconvenient when running away from the zombie the screen begins to flicker at one or the other angle and you can get confused which way to run. And it is extremely inconvenient when the enemy jumps around the corner suddenly, although logically, this corner would be perfectly visible to your character. For me, such a game-play solution is a minus. And not "some cool and interesting feature." Because of this, by the way, it can be extremely difficult to pick up an object in some places - because of jumps in the angle, the object is either in one corner of the screen or in another, and this creates discomfort for visual perception.
    4) About logic: You can kill a zombie shooting it in a body. ¯_(ツ)_/¯
    5) The character moves slower than the enemy. This is not felt on zombies, but when it comes to bugs, scorpions, advanced zombies - you get guaranteed damage if you do not take down the enemy with your first shot spending precious strong ammo, since for 1 your's aiming, mantis deals 2 times damage to you... if does not eat at all.
    6) Stupid... STUPID A.I. of companion. On weak enemies I set “wait mode” but there were many situations when he/she didn’t respond to the “shoot mode” on difficult enemies and because of this we got many damage from boss or strong enemy.
I liked story and atmosphere, and new graphic, but I hated most game-play uncomfortable and/or stupid elements.

Pretty fun game but I was expecting something better.
This game is inferior to Resident Evil HD Remaster in my opinion.

    - The story isn't that interesting.
    - Resident Evil HD Remaster's atmosphere was far superior.

A descent remaster of an old Resident Evil title.
+ Nice background. On a laptop screen it looks like a triple A game. Character models aged not so well but still no problem. The least improved had those CGI videos. Now they look too blury.
+ Old fashioned controls and slow paced action with puzzles. Classics. + Some new modes and features may make some of the fans stay with the a game

    - Backtacking due to the inventory limitations a really a pane. Especially closer to the end when you have several weapons and ammo types for grenade launcher. They even have a limit for the items per room (location). Why??
    - The story is intriguing, but akward sometimes. No extra endings anymore and a sour disapointment for the faith of some characters.

I bought RE 0 because I wanted a classical RE experience but I knew the first episode too well. From this point of view I got exactly what I asked for and it deserves a blue thumb, but there were negative points.

On the positive side, the atmosphere and the permanent tension are present (although if you have played RE 1 you won't be surprised too often). The partner zapping is exploited

On the positive side, the atmosphere and the permanent tension are present (although if you have played RE 1 you won't be surprised too often). The partner zapping is exploited well all along the game, with puzzles, forced separations pressuring the player even beyond the usual lack of ammo, and specific sequences depending on who you decide to send in specific areas. The first half of the game ticks every box of a good classical RE, in particular with an excellent level design.

    Now on the negative side:
-the absence of storage chest is baffling. As other reviews pointed it, you lose a good amount of time transferring your extra stuff from one end of the map to another. Except to annoy players, I don't see the point.
-the last map has quite an average, linear and predictable level design.
-last but not least, the scenario is ridiculously basic, predictable, and doesn't bring any interesting element to the story of Resident Evil. This is a shame considering that the game starts with an introduction saying "now we will explain what happened before". The characters are caricatural.

Resident Evil 0 is great to play for the same reasons the first episode was, but from a few aspects it lacked the inspiration that made the first episode a legendary game.

The game has a very outdated gameplay mechanics largely due to its original release date, which is 2002. Regarding the remastered graphics, I found it very beautiful and well done. I hadn't played the original and when it comes to graphics I didn't even feel like playing a 2002 game.
The game's story is interesting and gives a very cool backdrop to rebecca and even the mansion from RE1.

But R$40.00 I think is very expensive, wait for a promotion from R$9.99 and below that you will feel satisfied.
