    A nice unexpected surprise after the many hyped games in 2019 that turned out being disappointments. Remnant: From the ashes is a game that is equally enjoyable playing both solo and co-op.
    Didn't impress in the beginning but gets way better and more interesting the further you play and the story is ok for this type of game (hint, take time to read the various books through the game).     Didn't impress in the beginning but gets way better and more interesting the further you play and the story is ok for this type of game (hint, take time to read the various books through the game). There are also many hidden gems such as how you get skills (traits) and how you can deal with bosses in multiple ways which in turn give different rewards. I like how you can change your playstyle during the game for different types of situations and are not stuck with the playstyle of the class you started with.
    I give it a 10 because it's a surprisingly good game that doesn't deserve the "low" overall Metacritic score.    … Expand

    Amazing game, For me, THE surprise of Summer 2019 .
    Good graphics, amazing music and sound design. Very well thought gameplay. The solo is great, the coop is even better.

    Remnant is such a simple concept it strange no one else had done it yet, and while the overall design of the game isnt very original, its dont well.

    You travel between dimensions, time and space to try and find a way to undo the apocalypse that is dooming earth.

    also, the Artistic Inspiration is Lovecraftian and the Gameplay Inspiration is Dark Souls.

    Going to rate this game on three things level of fun, immersion, general quality.
    Fun factor: Is this game fun to play? Does it have replay value? Do the hours seem to fly by while playing? Yes, Yes, Yes. 10/10

    Update after sinking countless hours this is probably my top game in the last couple years just for replay value. The DLC's have done worlds to improve the game and generally just make it a better more full experience.    … Expand

    Great game. Highly recommended.
    It's a mix of Dark Souls + Darksiders with guns, as well as Division 2 and Diablo 3.
    Awesome gameplay and maps. Only expect it to bring you a tough challenge. It's more difficult than Dark Souls imo, except you coop. I find the coop Scaling interesting as well. Awesome. Buy it!

    Do not listen to the losers that are giving this game bad scores. They just suck. You can tell by reading their reviews that they are Bad and this game is too difficult for them. But that's not a reason to give it a red score. If you're bad just deal with it.

    One of the best experiences of the year. 90 percent of the negative user reviews are from people that go into games negatively and missed the parts when the game really takes off. I Love love love this game.

    I've been waiting for a game like this, something that captures the fun of co-op in dark souls with your friends. Add on top of that interesting lore logs, surprisingly strong shooting elements and a cool aesthetic to its armor and weapons this game is a surefire favorite of mine.

    This is one of the best games I have ever played of this genre. It's kind of like Hell gate London but a lot more difficult, and no trash loot. It feels like Lords of the Fallen in difficulty, some say it's like Dark Souls but I haven't played that. The graphics are great.     con mas de 100 horas jugadas creo que es obvio que me encanto, la banda sonora es magnifica y el multijugador es bueno aunque crashea algunas veces. recomiendo jugar la primera vuelta en solitario y en dificultad normal si no van sufrir de mas pues se puede volver frustrante en dificil y en la max dificultad impasable. lo recomiendo.

Anyway, if you like a very interesting lore, fluid gameplay, difficulty, interesting level system, well crafted scenery, a lovecraftian essence, THIS IS THE GAME YOU NEED.     Loving this game so far. To me it feels like a mix of Souls, Destiny and Phantasy Star Online with a subtle Fortnite style to the graphics. Graphics could be better, but the gameplay is a lot of fun. Excellent co-op looter shooter.

However, the biggest surprise of all, and something I can't attribute to another game, was the responsiveness of the gunplay.     Gunfire Games did a great job with this game. It's hard, interesting and fun game. Combat is wonderful for a third person shooter. It greatly combines things from some other games. If you would like a 'Gears of Souls:Diablo Edition' game, get it now. It worth its price.

    Best game i've played in a looong while. The people who are downrating are simply not good enough to get by. It's a challenge, and that's what i like about it. Many thinks you need to play in group but i've played through Normal, Hard and now halfway through Nightmare Solo without any trouble. Every playthrough is different with different bosses making the games replayability amazing.

    Its a nice game especially in coop with friends. If you are looking for a new coop game you should definetly buy this one since this is really fun and there are no other good coop games releasing right now.

    This game is amazing!! Beautiful scenarios, awesome enemies and memorable bosses. The gameplay is fluid and if you die certainly it's all your fault. It's difficult and have an spectacular replay factor.

    I extremely enjoyed this game. The levels are very linear but that is alright with me. The gun mechanics are on point . The boss fights were challenging but after about 100 deaths I made it through (damn moth boss).

    Flawless action RPG, reminds me Hellgate and Diablo 1. I wasn't sure at the beginning but after 300 hours of gameplay I'm sure, I can't find a better game at the moment.

    The levels are badly designed and uninspired, they don’t spark curiosity or desire to explore them – but you still have to, because new weapons and armor aren’t dropped by the enemies, they must be found in obscure spots scattered across the maps. [Issue#241, p.44]

    The combat is solid glue holding together a solid product, offering some fun cooperative shooting and a good amount of interesting items and weapons to build. Gunfire Games has already supported the game with two new modes and hopefully post-launch support will continue. While those who need a constant influx of new loot to parse through may find this game a bit on the slow side, those who are more familiar with games like Dark Souls may feel more at home here. The experience isn’t a perfect one, but there’s plenty to love in Remnant and excitement to be had in its future.

    By taking the best bits of a few different genres, Gunfire Games has come up with an exceptional formula here, and brought us the surprise hit of the year. Sure, it’ll take you a while to “git gud”, but it actually feels like it’s worth the practice.
