Mar 6, 2026Minimalist and faithful, the title adapts The Witcher’s moral choices to the Reigns system with addictive gameplay, a flawless soundtrack, and creative yet questionable combat.
-
Feb 26, 2026Overall I think Reigns:The Witcher combines the two franchises extremely well. Having minimal experience with Reigns before, this title makes me want to re-visit their other titles, and a must try for fans of either. The characters, the world and the music fit the gameplay and the humour perfectly. Strong recommend, especially on handheld devices such as the switch or mobile phones.

Mar 12, 2026Reigns: The Witcher is a good, small, smart, and often funny game that remixes Geralt’s adventures in interesting ways. It’s a nice way to revisit the universe for anyone who has played at least one of the titles in the franchise and wants to experience it in a new way. But those unfamiliar with this fantasy world should stay away. It’s easy to understand the mechanics and quickly play a few sessions, pushing to meet one of the goals and trying to find new ways for the hero to die. The game is best enjoyed in short bursts. Stop when the action becomes repetitive or if the same death pops up twice. Reigns: The Witcher would have been better if it tweaked the series’ core mechanic a little to give players more control. It's still fun to see what tales Dandelion will spin.

Feb 25, 2026Reigns: The Witcher does pretty much exactly what it sets out to do. It's a fun and humorous time that represents aspects of the world of The Witcher well. While it could do better in some respects, there's a lot to enjoy here. If you're a fan of The Witcher, it's a great way to have a new experience in the world, and if you aren't a fan, then it's still a good time with some very dark and silly moments mixed in. Reigns: The Witcher is a great take on the world of The Witcher and is an enjoyable, new way to experience it.
-
Feb 25, 2026Reigns: The Witcher is a smart and charming crossover that captures the strengths of both franchises. Strong writing and replayable systems keep it engaging, even if the added combat feels slightly out of place.
-
Feb 25, 2026The Reigns system feels perfect for the adaptation, providing clever choices in the quests presented, a housing narrative and the encouragement to forge on. You will fail over and over in your path to success, but with endlessly rewarding progression and always-surprising encounters, the blows are softened...In this game, Geralt embarks on yet another very worthy adventure, with his signature dry humour contributing to funny, ridiculous and heartfelt encounters along the way. Take caution as you travel and you’ll have a warm, lovely time here.
-
Feb 25, 2026This series strips things back to basics, introducing a fresh combat loop set against a sprawling, The Witcher 3-esque open world. Even though you’re essentially just sliding cards around, the lore is top-tier, perfectly capturing the essence of Geralt and Jaskier.
-
Feb 25, 2026Whether a fan of Geralt or simply love the Reigns franchise, Reigns: The Witcher makes every decision fun thanks to countless storylines and exciting gameplay.
-
Feb 25, 2026It may not adhere strictly to canon but Reigns: The Witcher is an endlessly entertaining new way to experience the Geraltoverse. Just don't be surprised when death comes for you again, and again, and again.
-
Feb 25, 2026Although the randomness in Reigns: The Witcher can sometimes pose a challenge, the game makes up for it with a large dose of wit. Fans of The Witcher will find a lot to enjoy here, provided they buy into the game’s absurd premise.
-
Feb 25, 2026Reigns: The Witcher is a fun and addictive mix of The Witcher’s dark fantasy and the simple, swipe-based Reigns mechanics. It doesn’t stray far from the series formula, so longtime fans will feel right at home. Quick decisions can lead to life, death, or chaos, and while the gameplay can feel repetitive at times, the variety of characters and outcomes keeps it engaging. Perfect for short sessions on mobile, though not particularly innovative.
-
Mar 31, 2026Reigns: The Witcher transforms the series' classic card-and-swipe system into a narrative adventure set in Geralt's world, where every binary choice influences the balance between factions and determines the fate of the run. The gameplay is immediate and surprisingly engaging, creating a rapid, almost hypnotic loop. The objective-and-unlock structure adds variety, and fans of the Witcher will appreciate the various references. However, the high degree of repetitiveness and the trial-and-error nature ultimately limit its long-term depth.
-
Feb 26, 2026In Reigns: The Witcher we experience the multiple adventures and deaths through the eyes of Jaskier. The quests add some freshness to a well-known gameplay, even though it can become repetitive.
-
Feb 25, 2026Reigns: The Witcher is a solid addition that will appeal to fans of the franchise looking for a little game to play during their downtime. It's fun and surprisingly rich, with interesting combat that is optional depending on the gaming experience you're looking for. It's a pleasure to see the characters from The Witcher in a different context, with a wide variety of narratives to choose from. Apart from a few clumsy moments in terms of overall balance, the game's real flaws lie in its mobile-friendly interface and a lack of ambition in its execution.
-
Mar 2, 2026PC is definitely not my number one choice to experience the new adventures of Geralt. Though the game captures the essence of CD Project Red’s The Witcher series, at the end of the day, it’s just a casual card adventure, not a full-blown RPG, and that will make it difficult to keep up with the experience longer than a short while.
-
Apr 15, 2026A light, playful spin-off on The Witcher universe that works best in short sessions. Its catchy concept is undermined by repetition and a strange decision-making system. An ideal bite-sized mobile experience. Nothing more, nothing less.
-
Mar 20, 2026Reigns: The Witcher sticks to the formula established by the original Reigns without reinventing it. Its blend with CD Projekt Red’s fantasy RPG offers fans of the Witcher an enjoyable diversion alongside their favorite character, while also serving as a potential entry point for newcomers to the series. Overall, it’s not particularly captivating, but it gets the job done.
-
Mar 6, 2026Reigns: The Witcher is another solid entry in the series that fans of the signature gameplay of Reigns and The Witcher lore will enjoy. The dark humor and dedication to the lore are a step above the rest, while the addition of “quests” to guide how you interact with the story is wonderful. However, it still feels a little stale.
-
Mar 3, 2026Reigns: The Witcher brings the series' signature gameplay into Geralt's universe with a simple system that proves highly entertaining, though it can also fall into repetition rather quickly.
-
Feb 25, 2026Reigns The Witcher finds itself at a crossroads. On the one hand, it's a rather skillful adaptation of Nerial's license formula to the famous universe of Andrzej Sapkowski's books and, above all, CD Projekt RED's The Wild Hunt, which will certainly make fans smile. On the other hand, the experience unfortunately suffers from a rather frustrating contradiction between its punishing rogue-lite elements and its inspiration system, which often puts us in inextricable situations. Nevertheless, the title offers a generally enjoyable and generous experience for its price, provided you listen to Jaskier's ramblings in small doses.
-
Feb 25, 2026Those who are familiar with the Reigns series, or who are big fans of The Witcher, will no doubt enjoy the game and the wealth of different options and choices it offers. But there are some stumbling blocks here that could put more casual players off the game after a few runs gone wrong.
-
Feb 25, 2026You probably know already if you fit within the Venn diagram of Reigns fans who also love the world of The Witcher. Outside of the hit-or-miss combat, Nerial hasn’t exactly revolutionised its patented Reigns formula with Reigns: The Witcher, but it also doesn’t really need to. The trademark swipey narrative puzzle gameplay suits The Witcher very well, with its focus on moral choices and dark sense of humour. I had a good amount of fun with Reigns: The Witcher. If you’re a fan of The Witcher or enjoyed the previous Reigns games and want to see a twist on the formula, so might you.
-
Feb 26, 2026A casual timewaster for people who are into the Witcher enough to get the references, but not married to the idea every Witcher game has to be a big RPG.
-
Feb 25, 2026Reigns: The Witcher is a perfect marriage of IP and indie mechanics. By evolving the objective system into the deeper Inspirations mechanic, Nerial has ensured that every "Game Over" feels like a step forward rather than a step back.
-
Apr 13, 2026Reigns: The Witcher prioritizes serving the hungry CDPR fanbase, who are desperate for anything related to Geralt's saga, over providing something truly fresh for its own community. But that isn't inherently bad.
-
Feb 25, 2026Fans of the Reigns franchise are likely to enjoy this Witcher iteration. It retains the staples of the series while developing elements that successfully blend both worlds. However, if you’re new and looking for a deep, immersive, ‘choose your own adventure’ experience, this isn’t it. While the scenarios are interesting and there are plenty of branching paths, the experience often feels disjointed, as decisions lack real impact. Though the short runs can be addictive, the basic gameplay may ultimately leave you swiping left on this one.
