    The game really impressed me at first. Finally a realistic WWII game!. Then I noticed all those bugs or things to improve that really handicaps the game. First of all I'm always stuck with 2-3 serevrs under 100 ping and there all the same. 24/7 danzig or ARAD ARAD ARAD! IM SICK OF THOSE 2 MAPS! You can't hear players running behind you. Cannot hear greandes falling nearby. Player gets stuck in stupid insignificant objects, cannot leap over low obstacles. Respawn time cant be looong. Tank battles are unrealistic as for the forces. Tiger gets defeated EASILY by t34/76 and 85 at more than a mile on the front. Too many frustrating things. RO 2 is needed, yet, this game is still a breakthrough. Improve it with better graphics, fix those bugs n all and its great.… Expand

    It's a truly unique game, which I've had for a while now, the maps allow lots of variety, and will keep a player occupied for a very long time. The thing that really makes this different is the added touch of realism. Definately a must buy.

    Steep learning curve if you're use to traditional FPSs. But if you're willing to put in a little time, it's worth the effort.

    What can i say, solid game, few bugs, good support. Interface does the job quickly and feel fresh even if the game is old. Alot of playability. Realism you rarely see in games, and almost never to this price.

I'd pay 49.95. It takes a few more hours to get used to the realism and iron sights than other games - But you get a "FEEL" for this game environment that is the BEST EVER Very cool.     Love it. The 3d soundfield is as immersive as the stunning graphics. An unmatched pleasure in gaming. The new explosive bloom effects and added maps (all updated free) have really enhanced the experience even more. Our #1 rated game for quite a while.

    An amazingly realistic shooter, and not simply for the atmosphere it has, but also for the actual gameplay. A lot of strategy and depth exists in the combat too. A definite buy for those tired of the usual Shooters.

    Red O is a great game. I am a history major, so realism is important to me. (It would amaze you but not even the advanced nazi sciences had a personal HUD for their soldiers so they could have cross hairs and an ammo counter //sarcasm)

The gameplay is brutal- to be effective you need to actually think, rather than hope your armor outlasts your opponents.     I absolutely love this game, its such a change from all the other run-and-gun first person shooters. Games arn't full of people with PPSH's simply mowing you down, there is a real need for skill in this game.     The game has even realism in the moment of pointing and shooting it's realy great when you are an on foot soldier. It's also great that you can drive tanks despite they are quite simple to manage and I wold have liked them a bit more realistic working maner.     Best first person shooter I've ever played. You will HAVE to learn to shoot, no piper to make you lazy and dependent. Infantry is VERY realistic. Tanks are pretty cool but I am not a tanker so my comments there would be bias. Think you have a little skill with a gun? Come on, we'll just see how good you are.

    For a game built on the aging Unreal 2 engine this games great. Has a slight slope of a learning curve but once you get over the hill its all intense action from there out. I would recommend this game to people who want a new experience in the FPS realm.

    Played it since the first beta of the UT mod, and been playing it ever since. I've tried loads of other fps games, and none of them have ever gotten close to the experience RO gives.     Great effort. Clumsy at best. Hard to see distances. You don't feel "connected" to your gun like you do in mohaa or COD. Awful physics engine. Tanks can't go up a 10 ft. hill.

    Great game! Although some will like it, other not so much. This is more of a simulation, then an arcade, shoot-em-up style war game. It has a unique experience every time you play it, and on the simulation side of things, this game pretty much covers as much as it can.

    A milestone in "realistic" games. However; its pretty much love it or hate it. I love it. I can see this game being optimally fun with a group of people who use teamwork and VOIP. Really fun if you're into realistic shooters, and hell its only $20.

Press F9 to save the most incredible screenshots and show them to your friends. I have played alot of bf1942/cod/ etc. and Red Orchestra is more pleasurable. For all those people that say it is not a good game, they need to play the game longer before they judge. When I first started playing, i kind of sucked, but after about 10 hours of play, I learned the style of the game and I caught on.     Finally a game that brings the reality of tank combat into play. I'm extreamly pleased to finaly see the use of High-Explosive & Armor piercing rounds. With out getting out of hand: This game provides some much needed reality check for WW2 games, and as a ww2 history nut I'm blown away with entusiasim. Thank you!

    A very realistic game, and fun. Although the intensity and difficulty obviously changes a lot because its a multiplayer game, it is still a tactical and realistic fps. When i first bought it i was dissapointed about no single-player campaign, but playing with others who enjoyed the game and were good players outweighed playing a story-lined campaign with bots.

    I think this game in really good, and people HAVE to give covering fire and work as a team which is really realistic (like the shooting and everything), and i think after a few days of playing everyone can be a really good RO player. this is my opinion.

    This game is not for the faint of heart. If you lack courage or the ability to endure tedious action then dont bother but if you are a fan of WW2 fps's and want more from your game then grab it up cuz this is your game.

    This game incorporates intense close quarters combat, with realistic graphics and hit system. Love wut they did with the sprint effecting your accuracy, very realistic. There is also tank battles with very realistic combat. Very goodjob tripwire... waiting for your next release.

    I enjoy having to use my brain in order to play games, rather than just running around randomly shooting and blowing up everything I see. When you kill someone in RO it's satisfying. With the new 50 player style maps, the combat is very intense and allows for a lot more interesting gameplay than previously at the games early stages.

    At first was not as good as Call of Duty 2 due to the more complex controls and larger scale maps. However now i hav grown to like the largery tank maps escpecially the orel map.

    Nice. An attempted effort. Good graphics, extremely discouraging gameplay, players must travel several kilometres before the are in a gunfight with an opponent. OVERALL: IT SUCKS Get BF1942/DoD/CoD instead, much better, or any other WW2 video game but not this one!!!

    FPS doesnt describe this game. It's more of a WW2 Eastern Front simulator...and it rules! The very best WW2 shooter out there, hands down.

    The realism makes this the best fps i have ever played.. maybe hard at start, but when you learn to play you cant stop.. you can actually use real tactics and teamwork because the game is so real.. tank wars give also nice extra to the game!

    With patience and practice, this game turns from a getting shot simulator to a very complex and tense shooter. There are no easy kill guns, no cheap shots. If you die, you know that either you screwed up or someone made a great shot.

    Absolutely the best FPS game I have ever played. Really this is more of an infantry sim, but the intensity matches and surpasses any twitch shooter any day. The only problem for me is this game ruins every other game in the genre making them look arcady and cartoonish.

    only 3 complaints. first, the singleplayer is cool at very best. second, the map selction gets very small after a while, even with custom maps and, the map editor is impossible to understand. Otherwise, worlds better than any other WWII shooter out there. and best of all, you get to be russian!

Like the open newspaper in the rubble-strewn office in Stalingrad that you can actually read, or the Russian graffiti on the wall of the bathroom in a collective farm. It's grit, mud, snow, and blood - what warfare on the Eastern front was all about. Overall excellent. Why it's not a 10: single player AI is brain-dead, and when you do play online, Attention to detail is amazing.     This game, while it has the learning curve of a circle, is the best that could have possibly emerged for this genre- realism. Forget COD2 or HL2, those are shooters. This however is in a class of its own, and is not a shooter, but is realism. If you can move your mouse and pres wasd among a few other controls, this game will win your heart.

    for every gamer something right and good!i u want some action and tank combat get the game and play it but dont try to be the best the first couple of hours because u want but learn from the best die like the rest they say so Have FUN!

    A lot of realism, being an old Operation Flashpoint player I love this style, no strafe-jump-spray-game. I also liked Call of Duty with realism mod but RO beats CoD-realism any day. However, I'm missing something, I just don't get the kick from RO.

    The Game play is awesome .... tanks tactics and fps assault through. I think its not too bad at all. I only noticed that changing maps is not as smooth as counter strike source. But its not as bad as changing maps in Battlefield 2. Of course my favorite part is the explosive sound in the back ground. Makes you feel you are in the battle for real.

    Great game. I'd just like to say how stupid so many of these low scores are. The fact that the maps take a long time to load doesn't mean the game is bad, it means you have a crappy system. I can get up and running in under 30 seconds, and the game runs perfectly, don't complain about something when it's caused by you.

    Boring and fantastical ballistics. Great game if that's all you do. Every server has one third of the players with high scores and everyone else is fodder. How many times can you stand running back from spawn? If you play this game my advice is to camp every time on every server...you might have a bit of fun.

    The game is great yet kinda boring. I wish you could like fly a plane or something because that would be sweet! What would also be cool is to be an artillery gunner. But thats probably asking to much. Well anyway the game was fun but could use some improvement.

    Ownage, pure and simple. Easily the most realistic WWII shooter, heck FPS, out there. Very fun, very addicting, and VERY well-done. Teamwork is the most important aspect of the game, especially in vehicles seeing as, like in RL, you can't do 50 things in a vehicle; you can drive OR shoot. You may get owned, not because of they have more skill, but just for their choice of weapon Ownage, pure and simple. Easily the most realistic WWII shooter, heck FPS, out there. Very fun, very addicting, and VERY well-done. Teamwork is the most important aspect of the game, especially in vehicles seeing as, like in RL, you can't do 50 things in a vehicle; you can drive OR shoot.     Ladies and gentleman, I think we may be on to the biggest conspiracy of our generation. Apparently, I somehow missed the hypnotism that would've convinced me this game isn't the biggest piece of crap since Shaq Fu. From my sober mind I could observe this game even failed at realism. Apparently, a single smoke grenade can shroud an entire city, that's very impressive. Also, Ladies and gentleman, I think we may be on to the biggest conspiracy of our generation. Apparently, I somehow missed the hypnotism that would've convinced me this game isn't the biggest piece of crap since Shaq Fu. From my sober mind I could observe this game even failed at realism. Apparently, a single smoke grenade can shroud an entire city, that's very impressive. Also, I now can sympathise with all the lag the army have had to put up with throughout history. Well, if I've learned anything from this game, its that too much realism causes a hole in my wall shaped like a computer moniter. I feel grateful to have not fallen under this game's evil spell. This game is full realistic the bullet mechanics, vehicles weapon realoads and the way the combat works.
