    This game, it's truly beautiful if you have a decent computer. The story is sooooo good. Never experienced anything like it before, I cried and cried when I finished the game. The main character Arthur is possibly the best made character in videogame history. He has a deeper personality than some people I know I real life.     Ta gra to dzieło sztuki. Nie wiem, czy cokolwiek, kiedykolwiek ją przebije. Ogrywałem na PC i bawiłem się świetnie. Grafika wygląda fenomenalnie, a muzyka idealnie komponuje się z dzikim zachodem. Ta gra jest definicją pozycji 10/10.

    I won't talk about the technical state of the game.
    The first time I encountered the game I literally fell asleep and didn't enjoy it at all, but years later I wanted to get back into it, and here I have Death Stranding to thank for that, which made me realise that slow gameplay can be fun too. What surprised me the most is that such a serious game as RDR2 was made by Rockstar Games which    I won't talk about the technical state of the game.

    At the moment, the best game in the industry. Best graphics, best story, best open world. Very interesting, beautiful game. It's all been said for me, so I will say that the game is a masterpiece that everyone should play. Sad that I cant put 12:(((

    RDR2 has it all, a very well-crafted story, well-crafted characters, crazy graphics, absurdly immersive realism and game feeling, and an open world that actually feels full of details, unpredictable and surprising, something impossible to find in the packaged open worlds we see today. Ubisoft knows exactly what I'm talking about.

    RDR2 is a huge game in size and spectacular in detail, only suitable for dedicated players (not necessarily hardcore) who are willing to dedicate the necessary time for the game to seep into them. If you are a casual gamer, I recommend titles more like Naughty Dog, with an equally well-crafted game feeling, story, and characters, but with a much simpler and linear approach.

    Red Dead Redemption 2 is a fantastic game that I would highly recommend to anyone who is a fan of open-world games or Westerns. Its engrossing story, memorable characters, and immersive world make it an experience that is not to be missed. The game's attention to detail and stunning presentation more than make up for it. In my opinion, it's easily one of the best games of the last decade.

    With Red Dead Redemption 2, Rockstar Games managed to create a game that, in my opinion, has never been made before. Everything in Red Dead Redemption 2 is well thought-out and perfectly designed. Throughout my entire playthrough, I never encountered anything that was bad or missing. To this day, I recommend this game to everyone as a starting gaming experience, even with its longWith Red Dead Redemption 2, Rockstar Games managed to create a game that, in my opinion, has never been made before.     Very easily the best and most immersive game out there, the cities are full o people and opportunities and there is so much to do in the game, you truly never get bored of this game, one thing that I feel is the most immersive thing to do is go to a saloon and get a beer and just watch people play poker and play the piano.

    I just had the chance to play this game in 2023.

    It was a really amazing experience. It is not just a game in which you do things that lead to an end, But you get to live the life of the main character, see his evolution and most importantly the evolution of the ones around him, the environment and even the small towns cities evolve through time.     It is really full of details: Letting you talk to people everywhere, animals scattered all around that feel almost alive (they see them eat, drink water, they're surviving too), decomposing bodies, relationships, some decisions and interactions. it has amazing graphics a really amazing soundtrack and music and as of 2023 the game is completely stable.

    The story telling is really good, and it is a really good story that didn't just focus on shooting people as a wild west cowboy, but you get to feel good, bad, really bad and worst because of the difficulties and hard things you face through the game.

    The only things I can say I didn't like that much: A would have like a better fast travel system and hunting was not really that necessary, the upgrades you can get from hunting are not really needed even if you want to do every single activity in the game.

    I really was not expecting that much from this game but it completely destroyed my expectations for the better. Totally recommended.    … Expand

Well i'm pleased to tell you that Rockstar made an immersive world with possibly too much to do and made it it too realistic for most players...im not scared away by realism , i embrace it. Feeding your horse and cleaning it is pretty cool imo. shaving and cleaning yourself is another item that while not really needed to do is an extra side event. jobs at camp might seem boring but its just another area Rockstar added in for immersion. As far as Gameplay ...ive played about 10 hours and got the idea of the gameplay which we are all familiar with ...Go here pick up mission go follow yellow path complete mission and watch ALOT Of cutscenes. This is not a bad thing and when you add in hunting , Fishing, Poker, dominoes and many other things to do in this gorgeous world , one wonders how they will complete it. And now onto the Graphics... I know graphics are not everything but when you grew up in the 80's and are looking at almost photorealism as far as the scenery , one just stops and stares as I did at lakes, valleys and towns that are almost too real to be a video game.
    For the people that give this a 1 or 0 score...Nothing will please them . is this a perfect game? No. there are issues I have such as the Wanted level you get any time you commit a crime there is someone that is a WITNESS That threatens to report you. no matter where you are. this is annoying since your an outlaw.... and thats what outlaws do, anyway to conclude this review ...if you liked RED DEAD REDEMPTION 1 You will enjoy the second one which is actually a prequel ...    … Expand

Безусловно это "ранняя" оценка, но могу сразу заявить, что как и прежде это было с GTAV RockStar добились потрясающей оптимизации для ПК. Что три/четыре года назад я со своим древним компом и квадратным моником смог получить отличную графику иЯ избегал сюжетных спойеров, и в целом шума вокруг игры храня надежду на то, что она рано или поздно доберется до ПК. И этот день настал. Безусловно это "ранняя" оценка, но могу сразу заявить, что как и прежде это было с GTAV RockStar добились потрясающей оптимизации для ПК. Что три/четыре года назад я со своим древним компом и квадратным моником смог получить отличную графику и минимальное количество лагов, что сейчас, уже с нормальным компом я не испытываю никаких проблем при запуске.
    Не нужно рассчитывать, что офисный Intel I3-***** с радостью потянет эту игру, и что 4-8 гигов хватит, и что какая-нибудь чахлая 1050ti и тому подобная видеокарта с лёгкостью справится с проработанной графикой и максимальными настройками при FullHD разрешении. Будьте реалистами и читайте требования к рекомендуемой спецификации вашего ПК. Я ожидал худшего но со своей GTX1070, видеокартой двухлетней давности, но как выходит - я пока не испытываю никаких проблем при максимальных настройках при FullHD разрешении.
    Для тех кто не в курсе - не выкручивайте на "качество" ползунки драйверов вашей видюхи, и не включайте сглаживание, отсядьте на рекомендуемое расстояние от монитора, и получайте удовольствие. Если же вам хватило ума выкрутить сглаживание на максимум - то конечно ожидайте подвисаний и лагов.
    Повторюсь, люди с офисными ПК - ваше железо хуже даже деревянных приставок, хотя бы до их уровня дотяните свои железяки, может что и выйдет.
    По поводу проблем при запуске, я не избежал их, и был какое-то время недоволен, ибо предзагрузил игру, потом ждал пока это дело "распакуется"(читай расшифруется), а после еще смотрел в бесконечный экран загрузки. Чтобы избежать банальных проблем следуйте простым советам - максимально обновите систему, ибо игра подгонялась под последние обновления, обновите дрова на видяху и в том числе установите DirectX, если лаунчер не сделал это за вас, установщик лежит в директории с игрой, после всех манипуляций с дровами - отправляйтесь в ребут, если за вас это не сделали установщики софта.    … Expand

    Horrible Launch with the rockstar launcher error for 3-4 days = Worst launch experience ever
    But.... Since I have been able to start the actual game, it has run FANTASTIC. No slowdowns, no crashes and it looks AMAZING. Way better looking than the console version.

    A wonderful game under the horrible Rockstar Launcher

Despite all that, it's not even 10/10 for me and here is why. THIS GAME IS SOThis game has everything to be my top 5 favourite games of all time: huge open world that feels genuinely alive, very reactive and crazy immersive, beautiful graphics, awesome animations and voice acting, very good story, diversity, reasonable AI (outside of combat, mind you), awesome music and a whole lot more. Despite all that, it's not even 10/10 for me and here is why. THIS GAME IS SO ANNOYING BY DESIGN! Riding from point A to point B takes 5 - 10 minutes, brewing a stupid coffee takes 2 minutes, heck, even a misclick will cost you 10 seconds in real time. Making 140 bullets for my repeater takes like 3 minutes, making each individual one instead of a bunch with one click. Looting bodies after shootout is a nightmare due to both camera inaccuracy and a silly design choice to search the bodies one by one, and adding animations every time you do it doesn't make it shorter. This game is always ready to replace your better gun with the weaker one mid-mission, to change your weapon lineup EVERY TIME you dismount, to start a shootout in the middle of a town because you misclicked etc. Look, I love immersion, but Rockstar has gone WAY TOO FAR with this one, sacrificing fun and pleasure you could've had by design. You're so much into realism? Cool, but make a toggable option in the menu for auto - looting, auto - cooking, auto - brewing and auto - bullet making and LET US DECIDE what we prefer: time well - spent or supposedly full immersion. And save system in this game is UNACCEPTABLE, and again, its by design. You're not explaining me how to do things in the tutorial, so I experiment. It would be nice to SAVE THE GAME BEFORE I DO THAT when I'm learning. And to return to the EXACT SPOT ON THE EXACT TIME WHEN I'M LOADING! You string 3 missions together for a 1,5 - hour block? Great, but LET ME SAVE THE GAME IN THE MEANTIME. Some folks might not have straight 1,5 hours to play those missions in one sitting, you know? I encounter a glitch, what do I do? In other games, I save and reload my game, but not here, cause I save in point A just to reload in point B for no reason whatsoever. Who else, besides Rockstar, thinks that teleporting my cowboy in both space and time is immersive? Anyone?

    TLDR: Rockstar created almost a flawless diamond, and then, because of unreasonable design choices, dropped it into mud. WHY?!

    By the way: rating this game a 6, guys? Seriously? It's completely unreasonable, even for the players that didn't like it for one reason or another. I'm sorry, but if you're not seeing this game's value, even of you personally don't like it, then you are a blind man.    … Expand

    Once I got the game going I was able to judge the most important factor (IMO) that differentiates this from the console version which had that GODAWFUL aim/gun play system. It was absolutely terrible. If you tried to play it without auto aim it was so frustrating and auto aim made the gun play so boring. That is now gone with mouse aiming and now first person shootout are SO much fun. Of course everyone knows graphically and storywise the game is wonderful and that carries over here.

    I stop short of giving this game a 10 for two main reasons. 1) the awful launch issues and bugs and the terrible graphical optimization when they said you needed a GTX 1060. HA! What a joke! My 2060 super struggles to get 60 fps at 1440p on high settings. Hopefully, this gets addressed with patches. 2) This has been an issue with Rock* for a while and that is the dated mission design. It lacks variety and its very much on rails design where you have to do the mission EXACTLY like they want you to kinda takes you out of the immersion.

    I feel bad for the people who couldn't get this working. I really do and I hope it works for you but please don't give sh*tty 0 ratings when you haven't even played the game. It's childish and immature. Game is a masterpiece and MUCH better on PC than console.    … Expand

    Voy a resumir la excelencia de este juego en una sola frase: absurdamente enfermo.

    Empecé a jugarlo a la par que veía la serie Westworld y cuando estaba jugando a RDR2 no sabía si ese mundo y sus personajes eran más reales incluso que los de la serie. Es realmente enfermizo el nivel de detalle en todos sus aspectos.     Pros: wonderful story, great voice acting, interesting characters, very nice graphics, stunning weather effects, "dead eye" is fun.
    Cons:
    Looting mechanics are tedious and inconvenient; super bad optimization: struggles to get past 30fps at 4k high settings, and 45 fps at 1440p. My set up is Nvidia 1080Ti, i7 8700k 6Core, 32GB RAM 2666mhz, Samsung EVO SSD, Win10Pro.

    First, this game looks gorgeous! So many details it’s incredible. Second, story is really engaging and missions are well thought and versatile.

    This is really great game in single player. For online, I tried but don’t get it nor it kept my attention.

    One major problem is that the game wastes your time. You can't walk in camp/houses, you can only cook one piece of meat at a time, you can't skip the skinning/pickup animation. All this adds up to literally hours you waste on these things.     Most games don't get me hooked but this one did. It's the kind of game you'll think about while at work or school and look forward to playing for hours upon hours. A few small bugs but nothing that can't be patched.

    It's a shame that disgruntled players have so severely bombed the game with negative reviews leading to a 3.7 score because once the game runs it is utterly gorgeous and of course story and mission design wise the game is a masterpiece. If any new user reads this review please do not hesitate in buying the game. Unlike Bethesda or EA Rockstar are at least honest at admitting about the launch Issues and have been putting out constant patches and fixes. I normally don't recommend trusting critic scores as they can be paid reviews but in this case at least do not trust User reviews. Go ahead and buy. As long as you meet the minimum requirements game will run smooth as butter and runs gorgeously.

Awesome graphics, great level design, ultimate plot, which proofs that rockstar can make serious games. I cant give it 10 only for boring AI.     My hardware have many years (3 - 6) and i play 60 - 90FPS only i spend 3h to find slow down options. Many options i have ultra/high game looking very nice.
    No go to max settings try find good quality and performance settings for you hardware or you loosing fun from this game.

    After an hour or so tweaking your settings so it does not crash every 5 minutes, its quite clearly the best game I have played in years. There is just so much immersion and things to do in a world that for the first time DOES feel real. I will not spoil a thing, just buy this game its a no brainer.

I played with rtx 2070 and i7 processor and dropped below 30 fps very often with medium graphics. It would be torture if the game wasn't that good. 2. There are quite long horse riding areas until fast travel options arrive. I am definitely not talking about what happened as we progress through the story. There is a lot of trouble going from one task to the next. After a while, but it's getting better. Since the game is made for the console, the controls on the PC are really difficult.     Сюжет: Классический вестерновский сюжет о преступной банде и их приступом промысле – ни влево, ни вправо. Помимо стандартной основы, в игре присутствует большое количество побочных сюжетных веток и второстепенных квестов. Вот они правда захватывают.
    Графика: Реалистичней картинку вы можете увидеть, разве что, в реальной жизни. Да и то!... Городские поселения выглядят исторически достоверно. В оформлении локации используется огромное количество мелких деталей, которые дополняет картину. Если игрок находится напротив дома охотника, то он обязательно увидит перед собой избушку, увешенную множеством оленьих голов и прочих трофеев. Природа также богата и разнообразна. Блики на воде, протоптанная земля, следы на снегу, листва на деревьях, горные склоны и ржавчина на балках мостов всё смотрится реалистично. Конечно, нет предела совершенству.
    Геймплей: Немного переразнообразили. В игре настолько огромный спектр допустимых действий, что невольно перенасыщаешься спектром допустимых действий. Мы ведь, всё-таки, в видеоигры играемся, а не реальную жизнь живём. Например, на стрижку бороды я забил ближе к концу игры и доигрывал персонажем-хипстером. Из приятных мелочей могу отметить охоту и театры. Охота додетально показана и имеет десятки своих нюансов. На счёт театров: Искренне не понимаю зачем было добавлять посещение театров в вестерн-экшн, но сценки, предстающие перед игроком по-настоящему интересны и забавны. Театральных представлений минут на двадцать общего хронометража; темы мини-спектаклей достаточно разнообразны, чтобы надоесть.
    Мир Red Dead Redemption 2 живёт своей жизнью, и стоит только игроку покинуть тихое местечко, как уже через несколько часов оно может стать пристанищем для грабителей. Поэтому имеются стандартные для таких объёмных игр ошибки в виде летающих в воздухе ружей, а также проблемы с физикой (когда человек от среднего толчка, вращаясь, улетает в сторону, как в индийских боевиках).
    Итог: Перед игроком предстаёт достойная продолжательница серии Red Dead. Несмотря на то, что мне больше нравится атмосфера предшествующих вестернов, Red Dead Redemption 2 очень и очень хороша. Но у РДР, как и любой другой игры, есть свои минусы, которые относятся как к самой структуре в принципе, так и к особенностям ПК-версии: бесконечная езда на лошади быстро надоедает, а далеко не в любую точку карты можно добраться фасттрэвэлом, менюшки довольно таки неудобные, управление порой выводит из себя так же, как и немалое количество менеджмента, за которым не особо интересно следить, эмбиенты мне показались посредственными, отличие одной лошади от другой сложно прочувствовать, да и оптимизация подкачала, особенно на выходе, сейчас игра идет на моей системе (GTX1060 6gb, I5-8500, 16gb оперативки) стабильно в 60 фпс на средне-высоких с некоторыми графическими багами. Но почти все минусы незначительны по сравнению с тем наслаждением, которое я получил от прохождения этой игры, поэтому игра заслуживает свои 9/10.
    P.S. Онлайн относительно неплохой, в нем немало контента и Рокстары пока не обдирают своих игроков как липу, но пвп в нём убогое и несбалансированное.    … Expand

    Despite real bad PC start, RDR2 is the great story based open-world game. The best surrounding, live looking world, nature, weather, great written characters, graphics, lightning. Everything is just high level. Yeah... not action shooter, more of meditative gameplay, some mechanics may be done better (more realistic), but overall best game to me so far.

My extra tip is look how much of your graphics card percentage are being used, if it's being used below 85% percent increase the resolution instead of putting everything on ultra for a more crisp image quality and if you don't know how to do itFor everyone having stutter in Read Dead Redemption 2.     I just can't get into the game due to a rockstar game launcher error. I have already updated the drivers on the video card, and updated Windows to the latest version, reinstalled the launcher and turned off antivirus. FIXED.

    Still can't launch it. As for me, crash at launch that isn't fixed in several hours is unacceptable for game from such a big developer as R*.
    UPD: R* fixed the issue in two days. So I think that it's time to score the game itself.

Игра шикарная.     Despite looking at game start problems this is very good game. Characters, story, world, graphics, physics - all at the very hight level. This game contains a good balance between realism, such as feeding a horse, cleaning weapons and many other things. This things is a really well designed. My very big respest to Rockstar games making this game.

    Bought it, doesnt work, just drops without error (cant send crash report), cant find such symptoms on reddit or somewhere, support doesnt answer. So, it is nothing to rate. What should i do?reinstall drivers, windows, download 110gb again? I dont have time even for entering goddamn rockstar launcher captcha!

    Random up to 5 second freezes and poor performance on a rtx 2060. I find the walking speed a tad slow. From playing it a bit on a ps4 I know its a fantastic game. Will wait for the inevitible patches. Bit dissapointed really.

    Awesome game which I enjoy with my GTX 1050Ti and 40 fps (middle graph. settings). I've been playing for 2 days and didn't have any crush. You guys so funny rate zeros to the best game of this decade. I gave this game 9/10 because I have some troble with controlling

    There was a slight delay with the launcher working but one I restarted it, the game loaded fine. Have had no issues so far, I’m on chapter two currently. Looks beautiful and watching Arthur hogtie people in 60fps is wonderful.

    My PC is a i7 8700K 6 core 3,7 GHZ, 16GB Ram, ASUS 1080 TI 11GB, 500GB SAMSUNG EVO SSD Runs smoothly on highest preset on 2560x1080 resolution (widescreen).     The story mode in this is absolutely phenomenal and without flaw, but the online is very lackluster and is quite empty. The map is so so expansive but has no content to entertain the play.

    My very first pre-order game ever and its satisfying on every level. I play it on my low end computer yet it still run smoothly. There some bugs and lags but it hardly noticeable. worth muh MUNEH, BOAH!!!!

    The game is beautiful but very rough launch, runs better on Vulkan with AMD cards at the moment.
    On my RX Vega 64 I'm on high/ultra settings with an average of 60FPS. Some bugs, but mostly stable.

    Runs really well on my computer, over 60fps on high-ultra settings at 1440p with gtx2070 and i7-6700k. Game is beautiful, new way that stranger interactions happen feel more authentic than red dead redemption 1. Controls for pc feel a little clunky with regards to the inventory and inventory management.

    And the game on PC is great! Ive had no problems besides one that i dont think is rockstars fault or some minor pop in stuff. 60ish FPS pretty much all the time on ultra-high settings 1080p.     For some reason i have little issues with running RDR2. Controls are a bit consolish and there are more than few bugs.
    Make sure you run dx12, Vulkan causes high frametimes atm. Running 60-75fps on High /w Ultra textures (2560x1080) on a RX5700 and a i5 8400.

    Hope Rockstar patches some issues.

    My biggest warning to anyone considering purchasing RDR2 on PC is that you need to have patience when you set it up. Take the time to go through each graphics option, compare your performance on Vulkan vs. DirectX 12, and tailor the game to your specs. Once you have the game tuned, there’s no better way to experience it than on PC.
