    Can't even play with the recommanded config, fps drop every 2 minutes. Unplayable. I hope rockstar will patch the game.

    I just can't get into the game due to a rockstar game launcher error. I have already updated the drivers on the video card, and updated Windows to the latest version, reinstalled the launcher and turned off antivirus. FIXED.

    GTX 1060 6GB , 8GB RAM , AMD FX-8320E 8-core, Win10. Run perfectly from day one. Graphic settings set on High - 50 -60 FPS.

    The PC version works really well. First I had crashes on startup which was caused by Bitdefender Advanced Threat Detection. Adding an exception for the game solved the problem. The game runs really well on my 2080 Ti. Playing on 4k with Ultra settings and around 40 fps.

    You can safely ignore the trolls who complain about the game not running at 60 fps in 4k with Ultra settings. The    The PC version works really well. The developers recommended Medium-High settings for 4k 60 fps (see the Nvidia article). Other games like Shadow of the Tomb Raider also doesn't hadle 60fps when you max out the settings on 4k. Even so, 4k Ultra settings at 40 fps is still way ahead of playing this on a console that uses Medium-High with fake 4k and 30 fps. The PC version is a big step up in visuals.    … Expand

    OK rockstar ,bad start doesnt mean that game is bad. With no doubt its one of the best game ever made. PLease rockstar check before releising games. And i ll never buy anything without steam. Hope Cyberpunk will start better. Anyway thank you for great game and incredible world.

    Bought it, doesnt work, just drops without error (cant send crash report), cant find such symptoms on reddit or somewhere, support doesnt answer. So, it is nothing to rate. What should i do?reinstall drivers, windows, download 110gb again? I dont have time even for entering goddamn rockstar launcher captcha!

    Still can't launch it. As for me, crash at launch that isn't fixed in several hours is unacceptable for game from such a big developer as R*.
    UPD: R* fixed the issue in two days. So I think that it's time to score the game itself.

    All the bad reviews are not about but game, but about the launch experience. It's non-sense to give a game like this a bad review just because of a short term problem.

    10/10 here.
    This is BY FAR the BEST game I've ever played. Nothing seems to get even close to what Rockstar Games did this time. Red Dead Redemption II is a MASTERPIECE.

    There is no argument RDR2 is and amazing game, and all the tools to get the best out of your machine with the rage engine has been put at the players finger tips for the PC release. The problem is most of the PC gamers these days dont understand what any of these settings are..So in typical incell virgin rage fashion , they take to the internet to vent instead of siting down and learning about their machine and what settings suit it best.

    For everyone having stutter in Read Dead Redemption 2. Limit your framerate to 60 frames using riva turner then you'll have a smooth experience. My extra tip is look how much of your graphics card percentage are being used, if it's being used below 85% percent increase the resolution instead of putting everything on ultra for a more crisp image quality and if you don't know how to do itFor everyone having stutter in Read Dead Redemption 2.     I really don't get why are people so angry at PC port. Yes, indeed it's not as good as GTA 5 port but it certainly not as bad as GTA 4 port. We had problems at 5th of November(so is English government at 1605 lol) but once they released a 2gb update, it fixed everything for me. No FPS drops, no crashing etc.

It's the new level of open-world after The Witcher 3. The Witcher made the side quests as good as main quests, this game makes random events as good as main quests and its not even an RPG game.
    Also I LOVED the game physics. It looks like you watch an animation movie, not playing a game. Everything is so smooth.

    Playing on ultra settings with my GTX 1070 TI, no problems at all. On the first day launch the only problem I had was my screen resolution doesn't match the game which was hard to find the settings to fix it. Honestly people who rate the game poorly either have a terrible rig or just following the hate bandwagon.

    Yes, this game have issues - not booting on some configurations, stuttering when running on CPUs without HT. I am sure this will be fixed in time. But other than that, game provides tons of future proof graphical settings to tinker with, and when properly configured runs quite well even on older cards like rx580.

    The PC port isn't perfect, at its release it suffered from numerous problems (including waiting forever for the game to download and install on Steam). But since when we pay so much attention to such small matters? You really think it's OK to give 0 scores to a brilliant masterpiece just because of some technical problems? That's ridiculous!

    The game is a masterpiece that deserves a perfect 10. I understand why some people are annoyed by the "tedious" animations and whatnot, but for a gamer like me it's just the perfection. The game's graphics are as beautiful as its mechanics. I just love to watch Arthur skin the animals, eat soup, make coffee. I love that I have to change my outfits, pick up your hat, shave.
    And the STORY!    The game is a masterpiece that deserves a perfect 10.     First, this is the best looking game on PC, period. Nothing like this has been made until now. So,    I'm writing this review because it's just not fair to see this game user score here. 4.5 coming from people that were early adopters and had issues with the game, or others that expect their 2016 flagship GPUS and 10 year old quad cores, to take this game at ultra settings with 100 fps+.
    First, this is the best looking game on PC, period. Nothing like this has been made until now. So, being so sophisticated graphically, with some very taxing features, it's normal that at some settings even a 2080ti struggles. It was the same with GTA5, remember???This is not lack of optimization, it's more like the game pushing the graphics forward. In one or two years, new GPUs will handle it just fine. Don't be lazy, use the optimization guides on youtube and you can play this game at 60+fps no problem and still looking better then it's console counterpart.
    Second, I've been reading about a lot of crashes, people being unable to play it, but this was back in November. Ok, I get it, it's not a pleasure to pay a premium to have a game that doesn't work day one. But have some patience, one month later almost everything got fixed up. I never had one crash in the last month since I bought it. This game is massive and it's not easy to make it behave perfectly since the beginning, because we have so many combinations of computer parts and software in our systems.

    Putting all this aside, the game is gorgeous, has a great gameplay, it's incredibly immersive, lots of things to do and a lot to learn about (SUA 1899). There is nothing really I can complain about it, I just don't want it to ever finish.    … Expand

    Okay so let me start of by saying that we have 2 game pc's here. one bought this year and one five years old. The game would not even start on the older one. It would just crash on startup no matter what I tried to fix it.
    As I was at the point of refunding it, I tried to install it on the new pc (my gf's pc, yes she has a better rig then me, in my defense I bought it for her with her    Okay so let me start of by saying that we have 2 game pc's here. one bought this year and one five years old.     This is, hands down, the most beautiful, most finished, interactive open world game I've ever played.
    When it works, It's just stunning. The way the world is alive with great characters with depth, the way you naturally bond with your horse... It's just amazing.

    You eat, drink, sleep, get dirty and get to choose how you want to live your cowboy life. Be the good guy, the bad guy, something in the middle. It's up to you and all your actions seem to affect the world and how people interact with you.

    So yeah, I get people 0 bombing this game with reviews for not being able to play it and rockstar is the devil for forcing there own crappy game launcher, but the game itself deserves a straight up 10!    … Expand

    I have not had one problem with the game fps is running amazing I do have a 2080ti and did all updates on everything from bios to gpu to windows update before I started the game it’s looking amazing with a 8700k 32gb 4000hz ram and 2080ti in 4k I’m getting 60fps with ultra settings

    Beautiful game. Had no problems with launching even on my quite old pc (fx 8350, gtx 1060 6gb, 16 gb ddr3). Have about 40 fps with default combo of medium/high/ultra settings (vulkan). Hope Rockstar will fix all problems so anyone pc user will be able to join playing this masterpiece.

    The story mode in this is absolutely phenomenal and without flaw, but the online is very lackluster and is quite empty. The map is so so expansive but has no content to entertain the play.

The ultra setting, how i see it is future proff. They easily could downgrade the settings. But they didnt do that. They give us lots of settings so that we can manage it as we want.     And the game on PC is great! Ive had no problems besides one that i dont think is rockstars fault or some minor pop in stuff. 60ish FPS pretty much all the time on ultra-high settings 1080p.     For some reason i have little issues with running RDR2. Controls are a bit consolish and there are more than few bugs.
    Make sure you run dx12, Vulkan causes high frametimes atm. Running 60-75fps on High /w Ultra textures (2560x1080) on a RX5700 and a i5 8400.

    Hope Rockstar patches some issues.

    My wife and I ordered the ultimate edition through R* launcher and on release day hers crashed with 'Rockstar launcher has exited unexpectedly ' so with 5 minutes of adjustments added a command line switch if -windowed and then switched to full screen once in game.
    She now plays at 3440x1440 at around 60fps on the minimum spec card (ATI RX480) and 16G RAM on a 3rd gen i7.
    We've played for the last 5 days and aside from a few disconnects the experience has been amazing. We did note that after R*'s first path the command line switch was no longer needed so everything's good. A big bonus came from the unexpected level of maturity from 'most,' of the online players too. Aside from the odd KOS dickhead people do seem to have embraced the concept of 'live and let live' which I really didnt expect, maybe a reflection of the maturity level that comes with the better platform? Dont like what I'm saying for whatever reason? Then ask yourself why not, maybe you're one of those that shouldn't be around a PC, that's what consoles are for..
    Well done Rockstar, RDRII is an absolute masterpiece that was well worth the wait.    … Expand

    On a hunting trip for a legendary grizzly bear. Went running after it all the way through a train tunnel. Tried calling my horse and realized I had to hike around the mountain all the way back.
    Ended up killing and skinning a ram.
    Found a man being attacked by a wolf, tried to save him but accidentally punched him and he died.     As of August 1st, 2021, Red Dead Redemption 2 (PC Version) is graphically best looking video game of all time. Can't wait until some game beats it. It's also mechanically one of the top ones.

    There are bad games, average games, good games, very good games and epic games. Red Dead Redemption 2 is the epic game. this is the kind of game that deserves 11 out of 10 score. This is the game every gamer should experience. Absolute epic single player adventure.

I am playing this game on Ryzen 3600 with AMD RX 5500XT 8GB and my PC can run the game at 60FPS @ 1080p with custom settings (medium to ultra). Speaking of 60FPS I used to play this game a little bit on PS4 Pro and PC version with at 60FPS makes for so much better game play.    … Expand

    Voy a resumir la excelencia de este juego en una sola frase: absurdamente enfermo.

    Empecé a jugarlo a la par que veía la serie Westworld y cuando estaba jugando a RDR2 no sabía si ese mundo y sus personajes eran más reales incluso que los de la serie. Es realmente enfermizo el nivel de detalle en todos sus aspectos. Sus puntos negativos son: - El detalle facial creo que es bastante    Voy a resumir la excelencia de este juego en una sola frase: absurdamente enfermo.

    Empecé a jugarlo a la par que veía la serie Westworld y cuando estaba jugando a RDR2 no sabía si ese mundo y sus personajes eran más reales incluso que los de la serie. Es realmente enfermizo el nivel de detalle en todos sus aspectos.

    This is really great game in single player. For online, I tried but don’t get it nor it kept my attention.

It's the one game where I'd rather ride to the opposite side of the map for the 50th time, than I'd use fast travel. You can fast travel a bit later in the game. But I rarely do! I simply enjoy just riding and stumbling upon weird stuff I can experience.

    One of the best games I've ever played. Im running this game on an I7 and 1080ti card and i am not having any issues at all. The play the game on 1440 resolution and turn it up to ultra and have not noticed any screen tearing, or frame rate drops at all.     I'm looking at other reviews and I just don't understand. A lot of people are complaining about rampant bugs, but when I started the game in late December of 2019, I didn't experience any issues whatsoever in the story. Never once crashed or even had a slow down. Loading screens take longer than I'd like, but only on startup, in-game loading screens are pretty quick.     First time playing RDR2. Played it day one and recently beat the story. Now I'm playing it on and off online. I think it's an awesome game, I love it all around. It had a rough launch but within a few days everything was settled. Nothing to cry about really. Maybe it isn't worth it for the console folks, but it was well worth it for a first time player imo

    Problems at launch. Other than that, it's Red Dead Redemption 2 on PC! RDR2 on PC is a good game (of course), but a few patches are needed to make this the definitive way to play the game. The same problems happened with GTA V when it came out on PC and it did not take long before it was fixed. Now, the PC port of GTA V is good. Damn good, and i imagine that RDR2 will end up like GTA V.Problems at launch. Other than that, it's Red Dead Redemption 2 on PC!     After a bad launch in pc, the game itself is a masterpice, there's barely bad things to say about it apart from it's difficulty as It's a very easy so it makes some fights boring and you won't use most of your food, however the amount of good things this game has, makes it almost perfect

    Despite real bad PC start, RDR2 is the great story based open-world game. The best surrounding, live looking world, nature, weather, great written characters, graphics, lightning. Everything is just high level. Yeah... not action shooter, more of meditative gameplay, some mechanics may be done better (more realistic), but overall best game to me so far.

I get around 40 fps in 4k running a couple of settings on ultra and most on high. 40 frames is fine for me since I tend not to notice much of a difference compared to higher rates. A few of the very resource intensive options turned off but it looks fantastic and I don't experience any issue with the graphics.     После того, как мы не без проблем и с неким количеством перестрелок миновали зимний участок локации, нам открываются без крайние зеленые поля схожие из одной истории фильма «Легенда Бастера Скраггса». Это и нравится мне в игре больше всего, что почти в каждом её уголке открытого мира можно найти соответствие из мест фильмов про дикий запад.

    Ощущение от игры такое, будто ты не просто играешь и погружаешься с головой в ту эпоху дикого запада, а читаешь очень качественную книгу, произведение. В общем, сюжет чем то напомнил мне великую игру «Mafia: The City Of Lost Heaven». Не торопливый, но правильно поданный сюжет с постепенно раскрывающимися персонажами. История, рассказывающая о последствиях, от которых уже не убежать.

    То, что спустя время части геймеров игра по какой то мере не зашла или не понравилась. То это абсолютно нормально. Изначально жанр «Вестерн» адаптируется к относительно небольшой аудитории и любят его смотреть не все. Поэтому если вы не любитель фильмов о диком западе и любите скорее динамичные игры, то эта игра, вам, скорее всего не подойдет.

    Если вы раньше не играли в такие игры, то от части советую поиграть вам в игру «GUN» и «Call of Juarez». Эти игры есть на торрентах. Поэтому оголять кошелек чтобы почувствовать дух дикого запада в этот раз не нужно. Если же и они вам не зашли. То могу с уверенностью сказать, что RDR 2 — не для вас.

    Подводя итоги, могу сказать, что у компании «Rockstar Games» получился один из самых взрослых и драматичных созданных ими игр. Технически проработанных и сюжетно правильных как ГТА 4.

На счёт вылетов не знаю у кого как но у меня за прохождение первых двух глав (5-7 часов игры), не было НИ ОДНОГО вылета или ошибки.Отличная игра, очень атмосферная.     Incredible game and a great port. Works beautifully for me in every way. Plenty has already been said about the game, simply put it's a masterpiece.

    No clue what all the complaints are about, I've never had a single issue with the game or launcher and I have a mediocre gaming pc. If you haven't played this game, don't hesitate.

The game had a tough release following lots of freezing which put a lot of doubt into people however since the problem has been conquered, the game is now where it should be.     For anyone that is listening to all the BS people have spouted on here bringing this rating way down, ignore them. I have an older i7 2600k with a gtx 1070 and the game runs perfect. Sure, it took them a couple weeks to get it ironed out but BIG DEAL. This game is simply amazing and deserves top honors. Easily one of the best games ever made.

    Геймплей 8/10 (иногда однообразные перестрелки достают, а также я не люблю стелс, но это вкусовщина)
    На моем i3 8100 + rx 480 + 8gb оперативки вылетов не было.

    My friends, this is the pinnacle of gaming. All these frustrations at the start of the pc port are not relevant anymore. Game runs perfectly (I'm on Vulkan).
    I've never played a game where you can feel the love, care and attention more than in Red Dead redemption 2 (only equaled by The Witcher 3). It's a WORLD, human, warm, bitter, exiting, calming, tense and immersive.

    Не понимаю что за дауны ставят такие низкие оценки. Эта игра шедевр. Атмосфера, сюжет, персонажи, все в этой игре околоидеально. Безмозглые животные ставят оценку ниже 8

    Это игра всех времен и всех народов таких игр больше нет я играю на ps4 slim игра просто супер спасибо Rockstar я и за это игры купил себе ps4 RDR2 это шедевр

    An absorbing tale that will test your machine and tear ducts. A game that did not suffer from being brought to PC. RDR2 is worth overcoming all the shortcomings, since it is one of the best games of the decade. [Issue#300]

    My biggest warning to anyone considering purchasing RDR2 on PC is that you need to have patience when you set it up. Take the time to go through each graphics option, compare your performance on Vulkan vs. DirectX 12, and tailor the game to your specs. Once you have the game tuned, there’s no better way to experience it than on PC.
