This game is really good! Feels like old school Castlevania. If you finished all other metroidvanias and is looking for a new one you just found it.This game is really good! Pros.:
    - The continuation of the beloved anime in a form of a video game.
    - Deedlit as a protagonist. - Familiar characters. - Unnerving gameplay. - Nice story and ending. Cons.: - Some imbalance with bosses. Sometimes they are super easy or demanding. Anyways, when you are level 45-50, it shouldn't be a big deal. - I felt something is missing. As if the game lacks details,

    - I felt something is missing. As if the game lacks details, references to the original, etc. I hoped there would be more encounters and dialogues with other characters. But at least we had Karla and Pirotess. I loved them.

So, basically, if there were more details, more to the story, background of the characters, more to the world of the game it would be flawless.

I had much fun playing this game, but it lasted not so long.
I liked the upgrades (weapons/skills) and also the levels and bosses.
In the 3rd Map i played like 30 minutes without finding any savepoint and well.. then i died. At the same moment the motivation to play further died too.
The price of 25 bucks a bit high too.

Метройдивания на пару вечеров, с достаточно раздражающим левел дизайном, но очень хорошим темпом игры.
Изо всех сил пытается быть похожей на Castlevania: Symphony of the Night,

Nettes. Spiel es hat echt viel Spaß gemacht. Mehr davon! Nicht zu lang, nicht zu kurz. Genau richtig.

I really enjoyed my 6 hours with the game despite its numerous flaws. If you are looking for a tight controlling metroidvania that takes heavily from Symphony of the Night this delivers. There are better entries in the Genre. Hollow Night, Guacamelee!, and Bloodstained all being modern games in the genre more worthy of your time then this.

There are better entries in the Genre. Hollow Night, Guacamelee!, and Bloodstained all being modern games in the genre more worthy of your time then this.

This is part of an established multimedia franchise called Record of Lodoss War, but the game has a minimal story that barely ties into that established franchise. What story is present is told through the environment trippy visuals, that underscore a gradual descent into madness.

The moment gameplay is tight and centers around switching between elemental powers. The game uses an unusual mechanic where dealing damage without being heat feels a combo bar. At full you do 3x normal damage and passively heal health. This creates a difficulty curve that is less a curve and more two sharp spikes. I personally was able to keep my 3x combo going through most of the game. Killing corridor monsters before they were able to attack and quickly recovering to full if I did take the occasional hit.

When I did lose combo points the game instantly became much more difficult. No passive health regeneration and 1/3rd normal damage makes a BIG difference and punishes anyone knew to the genre while making the game less challenging for veterans.

The actual world is very generic. The screens are very repetitive and I'm unsure what several monsters attacks look like because they always died before they could attack. At only 6 hours and with a difficulty most players will find easy this is a skip for most people.

That said this is my review. A game that I can just jump in. That controls well, has minimal backtracking, and some interesting boss fights and trippy story told without slowing down game play is exactly what I like in a game.

PC Xbox Game pass is the best value way to play this game.

The hope is that that "To be continued" at the end of the game can lead to a more substantial second chapter, which perhaps stimulates newbies to rediscover the universe of Record of Lodoss War. It really deserves it.

Ultimately, Record of Lodoss War: Deedlit in Wonder Labyrinth emphasizes gameplay at the expense of story and bows out a touch too early. An abundance of weapons, abilities, and playstyles combine with a dazzling audio and visual presentation, producing a challenging, fair, yet brief experience that is sure to please both Record of Lodoss War and Metroidvania fans alike.

Featuring beautiful sprite work, creative puzzles, and fun action-RPG mechanics, Record of Lodoss War: Deedlit in Wonder Labyrinth recalls Castlevania: Symphony of the Night, while forging its own path.
