    the game crashes after playing for just 5 minutes when you first meet Doc. Nefarious and attempt to go on the cables. It's no possible to continue further. Tried everything, new drivers, different graphics settings (from lowest to highest), win10 format, new ssd, but nothing helped. Game needs to be fixed

    unfortunately it crashes with old cpus which don't have avx2 support. I'm playing with i7 3930k + rtx 3070 and the game crashes to the desktop in just a couple of minutes of gameplay. No matter what gfx settings you change, it won't help. Sony must release a patch for older processors

    the difference between patch 1728 and 1808 is that now is possible to get past the cables mission in first encounter with Doc Nefarious, but the game crashes soon after in just 2 minutes when a new attach wave begins. And it crashes again and again, so it's impossible to clear the Intro level. So this patch 1808 is useless. My rig: Intel Core i7-3770k, Geforce Gtx 1080Ti, 16Gb Ram, Win10the difference between patch 1728 and 1808 is that now is possible to get past the cables mission in first encounter with Doc Nefarious, but the game crashes soon after in just 2 minutes when a new attach wave begins. And it crashes again and again, so it's impossible to clear the Intro level. So this patch 1808 is useless. My rig: Intel Core i7-3770k, Geforce Gtx 1080Ti, 16Gb Ram, Win10 and I'm playing at 1080p.     With patch v. 1.815 the game finally works fine and no more crashes! I've been playing for more than 1 hour so far and still no crashes, nor other issues. My gaming rig: Nvidia Rtx 3070, Intel Core i7-3820, 16GB Ram, Intel 545series 2.5 SSD 512GB. Thanks Sony! The game is great and has wonderful graphics!

    update 1.815 has solved all my crashes. The game is stable now. I hope it will be like this until the end. Well done Nixxes Software. With previous versions it was crashing all the times with my i5 2500, despite my new Rtx 4060 Ti

    bought it but was only able to play it for a while before getting annoying exits to the desktop with no reason. Never had any issue so far with other games with my Rtx 3070 Ti

    Ratchet and Clank sur PC est vraiment mauvais. Les plantages sont nombreux et il n'y a pas de solution pour continuer à jouer. Je n'ai pu profiter du jeu que quelques minutes. Pour le reste, il y a des crashs en rafale. Je m'attendais à un meilleur jeu que celui-ci. This is probably because the game requires AVX 2 instructions but my processor is an Intel Core i7-2600K lacking those instructions so the game keep crashing again and again. My gpu is a Nvidia 2080Ti and the gameit seems a nice port but I was only to play for a short time before the game started crashing frequently making it no possible to terminate the intro scene with nefarius attack.     Ich spiele FHD mit einem Rtx 2080 Super + i7 3820 + 24 GB RAM + 512 GB SSD, aber das Spiel ist nicht gut. Ich erhalte viele Fehlermeldungen und das Spiel schließt sich automatisch auf dem Desktop. Es wird kein Grund dafür erklärt, warum ich diese Ausgänge erhalte. Sony muss dieses Spiel bald reparieren

    terrible port. I'm getting many many crashes which are totally ruining my gaming experience. I've just bought a new rtx 4060Ti to play this game and I'm very unhappy for what it's happening. It's a shame I'm not even able to finish the first level

    os gráficos são bons e coloridos. O problema é que trava com frequência. Tantas saídas para a área de trabalho e não é possível continuar jogando. Eu tentei muitos drivers, mas o problema persiste com meu Amd Rx 6800. Não sei se também a cpu é um problema, pois estou usando um i5-2500K. Sony, por favor, resolva esses problemas de estabilidade

    Tested it with 2 different computers with latest update version 1728.0 and it always crashes with both of them:

    1. Lenovo Legion 5 laptop with Amd Ryzen 7 5800h - Rtx 3070 - 16GB Ram - Win11

    2. Dell desktop with i9-9900k - Rtx 2080 - 32GB Ram - Win10

    no matter what graphics options I change, the game crashes when you first meet doctor Nefarius and there is no way to continue playing

    Its okay. Its not terrible or anything, but it is quite disappointing unless you are absolutely brand new to the series. Soundtrack? Pretty bog standard. Gameplay? Well its most of what people like about the games, even I think its fairly slick now as it controls rather flawlessly via a mouse and keyboard (though some button placements are a little odd). It reminds me a lot of ToolsIts okay. Its not terrible or anything, but it is quite disappointing unless you are absolutely brand new to the series. Soundtrack? Pretty bog standard. Gameplay? Well its most of what people like about the games, even I think its fairly slick now as it controls rather flawlessly via a mouse and keyboard (though some button placements are a little odd). It reminds me a lot of Tools of Destruction, especially because the opening is a huge set-piece that shows off the engine, and a lot of the effects, but it slows to a snails pace fairly soon after that bombastic intro. A lot of the newer Ratchet & Clank games have had this issue because quite frankly we aren't ever going to get the original trio of titles again. The formula just isn't there anymore inside of these games. So you end up with a lot of pretty visuals, some cornball dialogue, and a lot of cutscenes that sort of impact the overall world-building by being so schizophrenic in terms of pacing that you don't really want to chill out or explore anything as the narrative is just pushing you to the next set-piece or action sequence.

    My biggest gripe is the colors are ridiculous. A lot of very bright neon greens, purples and some of the effects kind of make stuff difficult to actually see what's going on in particularly busy segments. This title has a lot in common with a Crack in time in terms of its narrative flow, but that is just a huge disservice to the evolution the series needs to survive- its not there. Crack in time was literally my last Ratchet & Clank title that I bothered trying to play through and it became sort of dull after the first hour or so. That's pretty crazy to me, since that came out 14 years ago. That's how little these games have changed to be quite honest. Though I do like the addition of a female Lombax character (again, even though their already was one and they just sort of wrote her out of the plot for no reason several times), I think Rivet should've just got her own game. The fact that they don't want to really explore new territory or that stuff is basically just recycled wholesale from the older games (like entire levels passed off as homages instead of the recycled maps that they are) tells you all you really need to know about the development team behind the series now.

    Personally, its perfectly fun, its nothing amazing and it might even be the end of the series for a while, but that's alright. We still have the originals, and a couple of the PS3 titles are certainly worth checking out. Its just sort of a shame that this newer series doesn't really share the same passion or quality writing the older series had. Performance-wise I really didn't have issues.. which was shocking. I got about 60 fps or more with a few dips below 60 with everything set to very high preset alongside Ray tracing set to all very high/ high settings. The game looks good with Ray tracing, but not good enough for the performance penalty. I'm running a 2080ti, and a 11900k with some decently overclocked 32GB of Patriot DDR4 RAM and didn't run into stutter outside of one or two instances during the "rift" jumping sequence near the beginning of the game. Considering how often Sony articles seem to paint these games as "only being possible" on their hardware, its interesting that we got a port that doesn't really have any issues or limitations based on the hardware it was made for. Ironically, I'm running the game on an NVMe SSD, which is probably 2 or even 3 times faster than the Playstation 5's SSD.

    I think its worth trying, but if you're a fan of the older series I would wait for this to go on sale later on down the road before picking it up.    … Expand

    Like Marvel's Spider-Man, Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart suffers from combat that's sometimes too messy, a maximum difficulty that's certainly not tested in the game as a whole, soulless side quests (though admittedly more acceptable than in Spider-Man), a more than dubious optimization, notably with ray-tracing, and a release status where players are still considered beta testers.     It crashes if Nvidia reflex is enabled; It crashes if ray tracing is enabled; It crashes if HDR enabled. It crashes again and again and again...stage 1 can't be completed because of all those crashes

    Too many crashes. Bad port. It always crashes when you change any graphics settings in-game. It crashes if you enable ray-tracing or if you increase objects distance. A patch is a must

    even with patch 1.728 the game continues to exit to Windows and an error report warning appears. Just to be sure I swapped my Rtx 3060 with my friend's more powerful Rtx 4070 but the same problem occurs. Modifying visual settings did not improve as the issue remains

    I was sure that the 31st july update 1728 could solve the crashes but I was wrong as they still happen and make it not possible to get past the D.     Digital Foundry found out in the code that the developers have programmed the code in a way that limits the SSD.
    The developers are unfortunately too incapable of exploiting the potential of the PC.

    niestety gra jest słaba. Dostaję wiele awarii i wiele problemów. Podczas gry gra zamyka się w systemie Windows. Nie jest wyświetlany żaden raport o błędzie. Zmniejszenie ustawień graficznych nie pomogło. Używam Nvidii Rtx 2060, i7-4770, Kingston Ssd i gram w 1080p

    Nice graphics, excellent performance, almost zero to none stutter and good sound effects. Well polished game overall.
    But the game is insanely repetitive, same mobs from the beginning to the end, and the same miniboss keeps spawning in almost every fight. Story is kinda boring but then again quite decent considering it's a game made primarily for children.
    I had a decent time playing    Nice graphics, excellent performance, almost zero to none stutter and good sound effects. Well polished game overall.
    But the game is insanely repetitive, same mobs from the beginning to the end, and the same miniboss keeps spawning in almost every fight. Story is kinda boring but then again quite decent considering it's a game made primarily for children.

    I had a decent time playing through this game but nothing more. If you can get it really cheap it might be worth picking up. Your kids will probably like it more.

    EDIT: I had 2 crashes playing through this game entirely. Not perfect but overall very playable. People complaining about constant crashes have old garbage PCs that don't even live up to the minimum requirements. The game is not to blame for you having a garbage rig, buy a new one instead.    … Expand

    Let me mention here that these bugs and glitches happen rarely,    We Happy ? Mostly, Ratchet and Clank Ript Apart PC Port is a good one. Is it polished with little to no issues, not really.
    During my time with this game I have experienced 4 crashes, and multiple Visual and gameplay imperfections and of course I'll include some minor bugs like audio no kicking(Music), and Texture loading.

    Let me mention here that these bugs and glitches happen rarely, and in my case, I forced the game to do these things under the worst conditions possible, I played this game on both SSD and HDD.

    My PC RIG:
    AMD RYZEN 5 3600 6c 12t
    16 GB RAM DDR4
    Nvidia RTX 3060 12G
    Seagate HDD 100mbs @ 5400rpm & Muskin Vortex Redline M.2 NVME [7G Read: 5G Write] PCIe 4

    Let's talk about the case of the HDD, The game no matter if you running at Low or High(Any setting) will stutter, it requires a system with little to no bottlenecks independent of Direct Storage or GPU decompression(These do help a bit though). What you'll most likely experience with HDD is stuttering, Pop in and course the game just pausing and then continuing (MEGA Stuttering).

    In the case of SSD, you are gonna need a fast one at least one with 5GB Read and Write speeds. For me, it ran smoothly, almost at PS5 speeds. With my Mushkin, I didn't notice any Stutters. Obviously though if you have a slower SSD your gonna have problems.

    For performance, I ran it at 4K @ 55-60fps with DLSS Dynamic enabled, and it looks really good. Even when running it @ 1440p(Favoured) the game is still pretty crisp on a 4k Screen. Though the resolution didn't improve the FPS dips(Those are bound in the game's design).

    Oh right, the Crashes, Crashing in this game occurred for me during photo mode, minimizing the game to Taskbar, or when I connected my PS5 controller to my PC sometimes. During gameplay, it rarely occurs, this will depend on your system.

    Now the game how is it?
    It's really fun, I love Ratchet and Clank Games since 2015, I played the Remake and started playing the older game via Emulators. This game really pushes the franchise into an unprecedented quality in its storytelling, cutscenes, and just fun gameplay overall along with the mission and World Design.

    Now for the problems the main one is Music Sadly, while yes the Epic grand-scale music of Mark and Wataru is cool, I can only remember 3 or 4 tracks which I like. In the Original game, I can remember more than 5, Norvalis, metropolis, pokitaru and more. This game needs memorable tracks based on location, not just occurrence.
    Gameplay, characters and everything else are solid.

    Ratings!
    - Graphics: 9/10, Great Graphics ruined by visual glitches and texture loading.
    - Story: 9/10, Fun story, maybe a bit short, but I'll gladly play it again.
    - Characters: 10/10, Solid use of Characters, Enemies and more.
    - Gameplay: 10/10, If it ein't Broke, Just Add more to it.
    - Dialogue: 9/10, Fun Dialogue that maybe needs a slight adjustment
    - Polish: 7/10, This game has a lot of settings, especially accessibility settings, but the Graphical Settings and Photomode, are kinda Broke, Ray tracing settings do not work as intended.

    This is an 8/10 port of a game, I know, none of the 9s and 10s I gave it really helped, but this is more fair.
    This game when it eventually gets patched out will be a 9/10, a game that you should definitely pay full price for but for now, let's say there are no bugs in this game, So what's wrong with it?
    There are some scenes that are poorly directed like one of the sliding scenes on Sargaso I think, wtf was that even? and Then theirs the music which just buffers the experience especially when you die because it just turns off until it's triggered in the next scene.
    Then the difficulty spike just increases in some places, I'm not talking about enemy hoards(I like those), I'm talking about single enemies that can chop up your health sometimes. All of that is a -1 point. So this game without any bugs is a 9/10.
    But since they are present it's an 8/10.

    Overall, Nixxes did a good job, with a little more time they would have pulled this one off to near perfection. So should you buy this now or wait? Look this game works on HDD, but I would recommend Highly that you need an SSD to get the smoothest experience possible.
    I would maybe wait a bit until it goes on a Quick sale, 5% off is fine but if you want to play it and have some fun then yeah it's alright on PC, unlike the Last Of Us PC Port.

    *Message to Nixxes, Please don't Screw Up the Demon Souls Port, okay, that is going to be the First time I play Demon Souls ever. As for the Tsushima Port, I'm less worried, That game was highly polished for the PS4 so there's that.

    Long Review, but at least you know it's a passable port now. Nixxes though should Fix the little bugs with Glitches help. For those that will buy it because of my review, I hope you enjoy exploring, shooting, Jumping and rifting around levels, this game is Fun.    … Expand

    Durante as Cutscenes do Jogo fica tranquilamente em 60 FPS mas quando, vai para o jogo cai para 30 FPS, mas parece que o jogo esta rodando a 15, esta Mal Otimizado.

    It was crashing with v. 1.726, then it continued to crash with v. 1.727 and now it crashes again with new update v. 1.728! That's a shame. It doesn't help to lower textures quality, shadows, ray tracing, upscaling method, vsync and so on...the result is tons of crashes

    latest patch hasn't solved the frequent crashes. No way the game can be playable. Changing graphics options also makes it crash. I tested it with both my Rtx 3080Ti and my sister's Gtx 1070 at 1080p but the result is the same, it crashes again and again. Please release a serious patch for this

    Der neueste Patch trägt nicht zur Lösung des Crashproblems bei. Das Spiel crasht mit meinem Rtx 4070 + i7-12700k häufig ab. Wenn ich die Grafikeinstellungen ändere, stürzt das Spiel erneut ab. Es ist unmöglich, in Level 1 bereits nach wenigen Minuten zu gewinnen

No hay solución para evitarlos, intenté deshabilitar gráficos complejos, texturas altas, trazado de rayos, reflejo de Nvidia y sincronización vertical, pero el problema de los crashes persiste.     most recent update 1.808.0 does nothing to solve the crashes' issue with old processors. Playing with my i7 2600K + Nvidia Rtx 3070 continues making the game crash, spent hours changing visual options with no result.

    Even on PC, Rift Apart is still fantastic after 2 years to its release. Gameplay is great, visuals are fantastic, graphics are fantastic depending on your PC, being Steam Deck verified is awesome, and overall, either PS5 or PC, Ratchet and Clank Rift Apart still knows how to make it fantastic even after 2 years from the release on PlayStation 5. Give it a 9 out of 10.

The developers were too greedy and lazy to give us multiplayer. These greedy developers love to brag about their frequent "quality" releases. It's easy to brag about that when these lazy cheapskates only work on half of the game, not to mention the short campaigns. And don't even get me started with those horrible physics. Ubisoft and COD are superior with frequent releases. If there's anything to learn from the "best developers ever" CDPR and Naughty Dog, it's that online multiplayer is far more difficult to make than singleplayer. That's why they gave up or shelved the online. Congratulations Insomniac, you did the easiest part. Now give me the multiplayer, prove me wrong. I don't recommend this game at all.    … Expand

The missions are fun too, even the sides quests. Graphically the game is awesome, but suffer from going through walls and ground bugs. Speaking of bugs, this game is still another bad port from console. The game produce various PCRatchet and Clank Rift Apart is a fun game. The story is great and has a lot of small twists in it.     It's a nice pc port. Nixxes are goats! the game is very fun! many different and unique weapons made the game even more fun! Story was nice too! the rift scenes were awesome, and they did a really good job at making this game!

    This is probably the only next gen title even after 2 year and one of the best ratchet and clank game. With a great weapon selection, an even more refined combat system and the best looking game even 2 year after its release. The pc port is really good and makes your experience even better if you have a strong pc. Play this game and you will never regret it.

It even looks good on low settings. Low doesn't look terrible at all. I have a fairly good gaming pc and a pretty much average laptop and am enjoying it on both. If you are not getting good performance out of this game it is only because your pride / ego is compelling you to try to run settings as high as possible when your rig can't handle it, or you have a seriously potato PC that isn't meant for 3d gaming. But at worst it only froze for a few seconds. But this is my favorite PS5 game. It is fantastic, possibly the best game in the series.     This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. First impression:

    Fcking awesome, i felt like i play the OG back in 2005 as a 6 years old kid. By just this i will give it a 10. Crashes will be fixed later prolly, i dont really care about it.

    The good:

    It brought back good memories as i expected.
    The only thing im missing is the OP tesla coil, man, that was a banger, this lightning rod even on lvl5 or on 10 is hot garbage.
    The controls are so much better on kb+m than on a controller, no cap. I was so hyped i played through 1-3 on PCSX2 before it got released.
    The GOLDEN BOLTS are nuts. Theres 25 and it gives a lot of good stuff to the gaming experience and customization. 23 gives infinite health and 24 gives infinite ammo(really cool stuff, not many games has this **** 25 gives gold weapons, so cool and easily accessible. I found 21-22 on my own, so its not even hard. The spybots on the other hand is a lil bit harder(do side quests), but def worth it, RYNO FOR FREE, ARE YOU KIDDING ME? This type of RYNO really break the game apart.
    The armors are really cool, i dont really have a favourite cause all of them looks nice, but the Wasteland set is my #1(with the pirate helmet it is cool also, just like the set helmet). The bonuses they give are a lil bit underwhelming and also half of the armors doesnt even give a bonus like, why tf? Theres an armor that you can recollect and it now gives a bonus!? It is really unnecessary. They could just give it a new look or nothing at all.

    The bad:

    I have the game cracked and it crashes sometimes, mostly in the arenas, if i turn down the graphics a little it doesnt crash(with like 150 fps it goes). I will definitely buy this in the near future, or wait a lil for a discount, also for them to fix the crashes.(I dont buy anything till i tried the cracked version).
    It doesnt really have a bad thing though, some lil negatives here and there.
    For example the leveling on some weapons weapons, there are weapons that you can level up to 5 than to 10 in like 5-10 mins of using that specific weapon only, but there are ones that literally takes forever compared to the others even to lvl5 not talking about the lvl10. Theres that weapon that throws those storming blades what fly around enemies and occasionally hit them, it literally doesnt have dmg on anything that is not one hit with the wrench, so you can empty the whole weapon on 2-3 enemies and lets say you can barely kill the 3rd while it has 200 ammo that takes forever to shot out.    … Expand

    Amazing game. Beautiful art with nice graphics. Unique and fun run and gun gameplay. Fantastic writing, voice over, and story. There were some crashes on release but all of those have been fixed. This is definitely one of the best PC games of the year.

    - technically impressive : fast boot times, no loading during game, high quality graphics (we feel playing a Pixar movie), well optimized (around 80 - 90 fps on a RTX 4090 with ray tracing).

    - good gameplay and many weapons.

    - a little bit of humor.

    - manual saves.

    - no woke sh*t.

    Cons :

    - Childish story and dialogues with no surprise.

    I loved this game. Yes I saw a lot of negative scores because of the bad port and they're right but I don't think so that we have to give 0 or 5 points because of it... Because the game is awesome! The graphics in ultra (full hd) is extra quality, the gameplay with the mini games (glitch, Clank and Kit ) is very very funny and yes there is sometimes a crash (for me it occured daily 1 time)I loved this game.     As a game this is very nice product. A lot of fun playing my furry friend and smashing opponents. But everything is destroyed by the game performance. A lot of FPS drops and crashes. I have RX 6600 XT
    and I think this card is enough for 1080pUltra60FPS(No rtx) gaming. If they fix the performance issues (especially VRAM usage) then maybe this game will be finished and ready to play.     Der Grafikanspruch ist vor allem mit Raytracing sehr hoch, aber das lohnt sich auch! In jeder Hinsicht eine Augenweide. Die Charaktere sind vom Design und der Persönlichkeit fantastisch geworden. Super Movement und Handhabung, einfach ein perfektes Gameplay. Es gibt enorm viele Waffen, die alle besonders sind, gelevelt und im Kampf mit Anderen gut    Das beste Spiel der neuen Generation!

    Grafica bella e colorata, il gameplay risulta divertente e pieno di azione, storia carina e ben raccontata, non lo reputo ai livelli dei Ratchet & Clank per PS2 ma tutto sommato ci si diverte

    It was my first game from the series and I quite enjoyed it until cca half after that the combat started to feel little boring. Story was okay, nice likeable characters. I didnt encounter any crashing problems as others are suggesting.

    Really great game. Basically Its like a playing the pixar movie. pure joy of movement. I personally did not encounter any huge technical problems. Two crashes and 3 fps slow-downs. Otherwise the game run great, when you tweak the settings and do not fill your vram completely.

    it's a shame that even with latest patch 1.808.0.0 the game is a crashfest. I don't know if the issue is my cpu - i5-3570 - or the problem lies elsewhere. So far I've never experienced any issue with other AAA games with my i5-3570 and Rtx 3060. I am going to refund the game as I am not even able to end the party level, the very first one with Ratchet and Clank rejoining battle.

    Je ne comprends pas ce qu'ils ont implémenté avec cette dernière mise à jour n. 1.808, car le jeu crashe tout le temps. Ils ont dit qu'ils rendraient le jeu compatible avec les processeurs les plus anciens, mais ils ne l'ont pas fait parce que mon i7 3820 continue à crasher le jeu, et même si j'ai une nouveau carte graphique Rtx 4070.

Só tenho problemas com os jogos da Sony, não entendo porque: o Spider-man teve problemas de crashes; TLOUS teve problemas de crashes; e agora este Ratchet & Clank também tem problemas de crashes.     it's sad but patch 1.808 wasn't able to fix the constant crashes. I'm on a i3-3220 and still getting crashes, despite using a Rtx 3070 Ti. Tried also lowering general graphic quality and res from 1080p to 720p but crashes haven't disappeared.

    no update was able to solve the frequent crashes. Even up. v. 1.808 gives crashes always at the same point of the first level after Nefarious challenge. Fix for old cpus like mine was never done and this is a shame. I'm not gonna change my Intel Core i7-3770K plus motherboard only to play this bad port. My Rtx 4070 is capable of running any other games flawlessly. Thus, I will just stopno update was able to solve the frequent crashes.     The successful port brought a game to PC that simply isn't available on Steam or the Epic Game Store. Seriously, you just can't get a game like this on PC. Accessible, entertaining in every aspect, funny, cleverly written and acted, audiovisually awesome. This is a AAA production with everything you expect from it. [Issue#329]

    Not that being more emotional and being fun are mutually exclusive – as Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart proves time and again. As the series enters into its third (!!!) decade, this PC port is a fine way to show that the Ratchet and Clank are still compelling characters, and even if there are a few points where it feels like the game could use a little more polish in terms of performance, they can’t take away the fact that Rift Apart is an outstanding game.
