Raid: World War II disappoints on all levels. It’s not that one thing in particular is badly broken; it’s that so many aspects of the game are clumsy or incomplete. It made playing the game a chore, even in its best moments. Sometimes a terrible movie or game will still have things that make it enjoyable — hilariously cheesy dialogue or over-the-top action that I end up liking in spite of the low budget or poor production values. With Raid, there’s just nothing here for me, and I can’t imagine there being much here for anyone else.

    Raid: World War II
more like you need raid for all of these bugs
Raid World War 2 is a co-op shooter that can be played solo with 3 other ai controlled partners or online with up to 3 other players...
You start choosing your class with your preferred weapon, you then choose one of 4 characters from your preferred country, and you get to raiding
The idea of raid is a good one, there are 15 missions total... 6 operative missions that are objective based like killing a target or interfering with radio frequencies…
And there are 9 raid missions which I felt are the much better parts of this game where you’ll be doing a variety of breaking and entering, collecting intel gold, or stealing a train…
Completing missions or failing missions will give you different cut scenes of Hitler either happy or angry at the outcome, and you’re awarded xp to level up your character to unlock new perks and unlock perk cards for the different mission types with their own advantages and disadvantages to better suit your play style… you alter all of these things back at your camp which is where you choose your mission or hop into an ongoing mission…
    All of this sounds great…
But poor gameplay makes all of this great mean nothing…
Raid world war ii is a complete mess…
shooting is stiff and clunky, enemies are far too easily alarmed, there’s real no enemy variety.. It’s just soldier or spongey soldier with a flame thrower that gives no indication they are even taking damage…
They’ll walk over and on top of boxes like they aren’t even there making the stealth approach practically useless
in missions are there are crates around with medical supplies for healing and ammo, and your teammates do a great job at reviving you which is all fine..
But the missions structure just isn’t fun
it’s a lot of get to an area, interact with an item and wait a little over a minute for the countdown to go down to move on and just do it again and again and again until the mission is over…
thankfully the 9 raid missions are different enough to not make this feel like a complete drag.. But while in mission... you just want the never ending waiting to be over, as the gunplay in between these moments of interacting are just not fun…
there’s no feeling of satisfaction or a knife through warm butter feeling a great first person shooter should give…
and the game is littered with bugs… one bug freezing my character into place and had me flying around the room while I was getting shot.. I had to turn off my controller and turn it on again to get out of this lock…
The game also crashed on me while trying to join a session which is bad enough on its own... made worst by this game forcing you to watch a choppy cut scene every time you start the game up like its 1996
And after the game crashed the button to interact with the mission select or any of the upgrade tables wasn’t responding forcing me to back out into the menu and rejoin…
RAID World War 2 is a cool concept, with poor execution
    I give RAID World War 2 a 3.5/10

From beta until now, I've enjoyed the game and still will enjoy, I will never see this concept again and I love the aspect of classic FPS, despite the fact that I will probably be alone often. Because really crazy things are happening in today's gaming industries, and a lot of bad things went down on RAID. I'm a 90s player and I have a different view of how it works today and what puppets live among us today, and humans are real monsters, they didn't give the developers a chance, but they tried to fix and bring new all that stuff, improved engine more than PD2 and no, it's not reskin PD2!! (such nonsense could be said about GTA series for example). I remember the difference about the issues on release and now. But maybe it was also a bad decision that was made. Maybe a bigger advertisement should have been made to attract other audiences to the game instead of the PD community. Maybe they shouldn't have trusted the PD community. Maybe they should have coughed up at the console. Maybe they should have choose a different engine. Or they should split the game on a base and DLC. But now everything is gone. Wonderful updates, and new content (which was supposed to be free! for God's sake!!). But now everything is gone. And I'll just think and cry over all the good that could be in this undervalued game.

    I will remember LionGameLion

But because of the terrible graphics and technical problems, the game evokes a feeling of a very bad reskin of Payday 2.

The ambiguous feeling is caused by the system of maps, which is worth further elaboration.
The game has a huge potential, and I want to believe that the game will live.
